Actually, what I did was just buy a 1960's solid maple sewing - quilting table with a drop in space for my machine. The stuff they make now is just particle board junk. Look for something on craig's list. My cutting table is a 4' by 6' solid maple drafting table. I can adjust the height to what I need to cut easily. I just put a large cheap cutting mat on it. If you have money, go to the Amish and have them make something for you in solid wood custom to fit your room. They're the best
But it's so nice to have for the machine you do the actual quilting on, don't you think? I have a machine for each purpose, so I don't have to waste time setting up between functions. :)
Yes, it would, especially for those set up for quilting or other jobs. I too have machines set up for different purposes. Makes life so much easier when swapping between them doesnt it
Anybody who has quilted for five minutes will see that this is still inefficient bc you have no additional space for your right hand and the quilt fabric on the right side of the needle. You need to make a wide table that will fit a machine when the machine is turned perpendicular to the quilter who would now be sitting at the head of the machine, like you would be doing on a long arm sit down machine. I’d buy one if you made one like that.
My sister- in- law husband made the table for me. I am just loving it!
WOW, I was just sharing with my son that I need to figure out how to quilt his king sized quilt. I'll be purchasing this soon! Thanks!!👍💕

YESSSSSSS. Lookin' good, Maria! :D
It'd be so nice to have a quilting setup at home. And this one looks perfect for my apartment-sized life. ;)
the problem with a custom table is that you need one for each machine you use.

Omigosh, yes! Having multiple machines has made me very comfortable... maybe even lazy. ;)
