The saddest part of Bruce’s funeral scene is that Alfred isn’t talking to Bruce, he’s talking to his parents. The “you trusted me… and I failed you” was him saying he failed to look after Bruce like he had always done. That scene hurts so good. Michael Caine masterclass.

I love this movie. I've actually watched it more than the previous two. And I love that it wraps things up and gives Bruce a well deserved happy ending. It's nice that some version of him in the multiverse got to retire, be in love and have the life he has earned. As much as I love Batman Beyond's Bruce Wayne I feel bad for the guy getting all old and lonely.

Comicbook Batman can never stop being Batman, because they want to keep publishing. So they set up a psychological need for him to never stop. But Nolan isn't bound by that - he can just end it. Which is different.

This is actually better than TDK, diamond would never run away and hide for 8 years and take the blame for murdering 5 people. It's actually a sad ending but with the music and the way he rides off into the light it seems happy.

We can all agree that Heath Ledger's performance pushed the second movie as the overall favourite of the trilogy. But this third instalment is far (really far) from being bad, making the trilogy as great as it is as a whole. I just can't believe the selfishness of someone actually telling you NOT to watch this; and that it's no good. Great reaction to the three movies m'am. Thank you. :)

I've seen a lot of people call the Batman vs Bane fight boring or not exciting. This completely baffles me because I find the fight amazing. It's almost like a horror scene, the point isn't to be exciting but to show how Batman is completely out of his depth with Bane.

Bruce gave everyone a resolution. Alfred: his dream of seeing Bruce happy and no longer batman. John Blake: coordinates to the bat cave so he can take the mantle. Gordon: told him who he (batman) was as show of appreciation and respect. Fox: the knowledge that he (Bruce) had actually fixed the autopilot therefore Bruce wasn't in the plane when the bomb blew. S. Kyle: gave her an actual clean slate with a new start with Bruce. And Bruce kept his parents legacy alive by having the property meant to take care of orphaned kids.

This trilogy is absolutely my favourite ever, it has perfect score, perfect cinematography and a perfect performance from all actors, it might have some poor fighting scenes compared to the new ones that mainly focused on it, but the theme of this movie and the character progression that made Bruce Wayne spoke to me like nothing else could.
I lost my dad when I was in my teenage years and Nolan somehow taught me how to be a better boy, and now a better young adult, through the art of cinema.
    This is cinema

  • @MrClownFox
    @MrClownFox Год назад +16

I also had my hoodie’s hood on while watching… But for the fight, it was trying to get across Bane’s sinister power theme: Leading people to believe they have a chance (hope) when they don’t and completely breaking them/making them feel powerless. He was basically not trying at all in the fight just to show Bruce how completely powerless he was in the situation, locked in a cage with him. The “break you” thing. Bane enjoys making people feel completely powerless, but giving them a sense that they are not powerless (hope), it’s his version of toying with them. So that’s why the fight looks kind of weird. Bane is basically relaxing and being as boring as possible, sending the message “this is all it takes from me to completely dominate you”. Which is why he also put Bruce in the pit and broke his back to paralyze him. They didn’t flesh out his character as much bc a lot happened in the movie and it was less dark. A dark Bane movie would be terrifying. He’s basically a sicko in a horror movie locking someone in a basement and making them believe they can escape just to mess with them. So thankfully we got the pg13 version, I don’t think I could’ve taken seeing Bruce go through an R version.

You did the right thing, ignoring the naysayers and watching the movie anyway.
Despite what the quality can be, everyone should experience a film by himself/herself and then judge.
But you know, this movie is actually underrated. Many don't like it (or even hate it) because it was so different from The Dark Knight. The expectations were over the roof, it was nearly impossible to get from the audience the same reaction of the second film, which was a massive cultural phenomenon.
And the thing is: this was never supposed to be "The Dark Knight 2". Each chapter of the trilogy has its own identity, and to replicate what was done in 2008 would've simply been lazy.
Rises may be the most flawed of the three, but it's also the most epic and a sincere love letter to the Batman's mythology. And as a cinematic experience, it was pure gold. It raised the stakes and managed to do things that many filmmakers can't do in modern blockbusters. All of this while giving the story a proper conclusion, something many third movies failed to do in famous trilogies.

17:22 it might seem boring in terms of style and substance, but that’s the point, it’s not meant to look flashy or intense, it’s meant to be an odd fight scene because it’s more of less Batman looking like he has no idea how to fight and getting his shit repeatedly rocked by someone who outclasses him in every way, the fight more or less thematically represents how victory over the years has defeated Batman and that he’s never truly been tested physically or knows his limits, he’s come back after 10 years, not prepared, trained, studied Bane, and learned who he’s up against, he’s just charged straight in there thinking “yeah I got this no biggie” only for him to almost be straight up unalived

I think a lot of people like to recommend against watching this movie because it is not as good as the one with the Joker.
Also, it deviates from the comics a lot. It seems like Robin never gets to be a Batman's orphan trainee, but just cooperates with him and then gets the bat cave. Seems to me like Nolan left the plot like the next movie would be about Night Wing. In a movie is hard to reflect an entire journey, in the comics after Bane breaks Batman's back, Bruce has to go into an entire journey to find a doctor that is a pioneer on medical research to reconnect nerves. He does not just make a couple a pushups and a little swing from the chest to be ready to climb.
But just as a movie itself, regardless of how far is from the comics, I think it is an entertaining movie with interesting plot twists, making Alfred a rich man who can live with a clean conscience, is my favorite part of the end. He dedicated all his life to the Wane family, he deserves a nice retirement.

No you didn't. It couldn't make you cry if you didn't care. It may not have been as groundbreaking as "Batman Begins" or oscar-worthy like "Batman: The Dark Knight, " but "Batman: The Dark Knight Knight Rises" was a damn good movie.
I'm sure that the original idea this movie had the Joker and Catwoman. Replacing joker with Bane and Talia Al Ghul worked.

Thank you for your reaction on this one I really like, love?, number 3 of this trilogy. I think it's the best one of the three. Beginning of the movie I didn't think Bruce Wayne would be up to what he had to go through again to be Batman. Somebody else mentioned that one of the clues that Bruce Wayne was still alive was the fact that he actually fixed the autopilot on that helicopter. But anyway that was hell going through the funeral. And then the young detective going through to pick up his small claim of Bruce Wayne's estate and exposing his true first name, Robin. And then Alfred on his vacation hallucinating about Bruce Wayne again but realizing this time it's real. Real enough that Bruce Wayne was with Catwoman, love Anne Hathaway in this. That's why this movie is the best of the trilogies because this is overloaded with the best movie stars. Thank you for your reaction to this it was totally pure. Keep up the good work. Edit, someone else mentioned this you do resemble strongly Jessica Alba.

There are only two that bother me about this film, it's the choreography of the fights, they are definitely WAY below what Nolan usually delivers in his works, the only one that is reasonable and I believe because it has a lot of dialogue is the first Batman vs Wayne fight, the fight on the terrace where he saves Catwoman for the first time is so lazy that half of the Minions throw themselves into it without wanting to be close to Batman or Selina, the final fight between them is also very frustrating with hundreds of people fighting each other and playing each other without any sense and the two of them in the middle having a 1x1 that's kind of cheesy, but the biggest shame for me in this film was that NOLAN proved Tailla's death scene, acting 1/10, meanwhile Alfred giving a final speech apologizing to the tombstones of Bruce's parents 10/10, otherwise it's an excellent film, which got better with time as nothing came close to surpassing this trilogy, although THE BATMAN is far from the mess that Ben Affleck was as Batman in the DCU will need to do a lot to be as good as this trilogy was

The Dark Knight had a messy final third which spoils the film for me. This is my favourite of the trilogy and a fitting end.

from all the girls he could have, he choosed the one who stole the pearls from his dead mom, kicked him knowing he was injury, stole his lambo, selled him to the guy who almost broke his spine... BRUV, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?????????????
And also, i think this end would be so much better if its end was opened just like nolan did after with inception (when he finnish the film before the spin top falls), and end this film w alfred nodding his head. Don't show bruce, let it open bruv

Granted this one was my least favorite of the trilogy, but it's still a Christopher Nolan movie, and therefore it's worth watching.
