Yowza! I never had much to lose, but those last 10 or so pounds have been so stubborn, especially after menopause. The old ways just aren't cutting it. I will never diet, but I'm willing to try tweaking things.
Thank you so much for your weight loss videos Michelle! I know that your channel is geared more towards women, but I can really relate to your information and energy. So good! I have been vegetarian since 97 and vegan since 06. And then finally a couple of years ago I became low-fat vegan though still eating processed foods. Earlier this year I committed to whole food plant-based trying very hard to minimize sugar, oil and salt. To be honest, I do use salt sometimes. In five months I have lost 20 pounds. And my BMI is now approximately 23. While this is a really good weight for me, I have five more pounds to lose. This is the hardest part. I weigh myself every day and that really helps. And I have certain dishes that I prepare all the time. That helps as well because when there are too many options, I gain weight. I make sure that there are numerous fruits, veggies and grains so that I can maximize my nutrient intake and also support my gut flora. For me I realize that the biggest challenges to these last 5 pounds are stress, not enough sleep, not enough water and portion sizes. Watching your weight loss videos this morning has given me the inspiration to tackle all four of these issues. Love your videos! ❤️
This is the best video I've watched so far but truthfully I already do all of this and I'm still stuck on the last 10 pounds. The best advice I'll come away with is less calories.
Michele, I watched this yesterday after watching your Q&A. I took notes and I’m not even sure how I missed this video. However, between the two videos I feel recommitted to eating right, along with time restricted feeding. I hate to say I am one of the people that bought into the “you can eat as much as you want and still lose weight” narrative. 🥺 I have been thinking more recently that I must be just plain eating too many calories. Because, as you say, you have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. I have lost weight over the last 3 plus years, a total of 45 pounds, but I truly would like to lose another 20-30. All of this is to say, thank you so much for all you do for us. 💗
Right now I feel huge and I’d like to lose 10-15 pounds. I don’t really exercise lately and I work full-time so it’s not easy. You look amazing! 👍🏻💜 Emotional eating is a thing for me probably when I first come home from work and I’m busy preparing dinner. I tend to eat hummus with chips and cucumber 🥒. This was something I needed to hear! Congratulations 🎉

Great information! Remembering that calories still count even when on a whole food, plant based eating plan is good to remember. I've been snacking in the evenings, even though it's healthy food, the extra calories show up!
Agree so much! I have been working on my eating habits and eating more plant based in the last year or so and realized that I have been overeating. I have been using my fitnesspal to keep me on track and in the last month I have lost 4.5 lbs. I would like to lose another 8-10 lbs. and working slowly to achieve this goal through healthier eating and exercise. One thing I have also incorporated is drinking 20 oz of water right in the morning before my morning coffee and then drinking it throughout the day until I achieve at least 65 oz of water.
That’s awesome! Sometimes taking an honest, hard look at what we are doing can make all the difference. That’s wonderful for you! Having lots of water is so important too. Keep up the great work and for sure you will get to your goals with your continued consistency. All the best! 👍👍
@veganmichele I made the sweet potato lentil soup last night and it was soooo good. from what I watched so far I noticed you don't use avocado is there a reason for that? I'm going to try that celeantro salad dressing next. appreciate your info and effort! regained 50lbs wish me luck!
@nellamorra6728 I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I do indeed eat avocado, but within reason so I don’t have too much fat in my day. But I love avocado and have it in a lot of recipes here💚
Thanks so much for sharing! I have always had to watch my weight. I haven’t weighed myself in 8 months. I eat pretty healthy, but have been consuming extra calories. I weighed myself today because I am ready to do something about it. I gained 10 pounds. I appreciate your weight loss tips, and going forward, I am going to be more mindful of my serving sizes and also try to incorporate more exercise, especially some light weights. I got this! Cheers😀
I really can identify with the fact, that you ate a lot for pleasure. I have a massive sweet tooth, and even though I eat a pretty healthy vegan diet, the last 10 pounds are still there and I think, with me, the reason is, that I will always choose the nicecream, the smoothie or the yoghurt over for example the cooked veggies. Hm, This Video gave me a lot to think about, Thank you for that! 🤗🤗 👍

Great video! I have gained weight just eating some energy bars and raisin bread. I recently cut these items out and feel so much better!!
