UPDATE 1-15-23: I've been driving the Summit for about a month now. Its a great car. What's weird is how quiet it is. Its so quiet. Mine has the added super quiet option (I can't remember the name of the option but its specifically for extra noise dampening). You can't hear anything outside the car. I've had Mercedes and Lexus' but this is the quietest cabin I've experienced. The ride is super smooth. I had a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited (which has been a very comfortable and reliable car) and this Summit blows it away. The 3.6L motor is also peppier than the 2019 Limited. Overall it is a spectacular car and a huge upgrade from the previous model.
The only differences between the Summit and Summit Reserve are: 1.) 20" wheels on the Summit vs 21" wheels on the Reserve. 2.) The 950 watt MacIntosh stereo is included on the Reserve and an option on the Summit. 3.) Trailer Tow Package is standard equipment on the Summit but not available on the Reserve. 4.) Deluxe headliner is standard on the Reserve and not an option on the Summit. 5.) The Reserve uses Palermo leather seats where the Summit uses Napa leather seats. 6.) Front passenger interactive display is included on the Reserve and an option on the Summit. 7.) Ventilated rear seats are included on the Reserve and not available on the Summit. That's it. Not much of a difference. Save yourself $4,000 and go with the Summit. Add in the 950 watt MacIntosh stereo and the passenger side display if you really want it. Not sure why you need a "deluxe headliner" when they both have a panoramic sunroof that takes up virtually the entire headliner. To each his own I guess.

I have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I came from a 20 year old Ford Explorer that was still working fine at 205,000 miles amazingly! I didn’t mean to keep it so long but couldn’t find my next SUV. I wanted a two row seated vehicle but with a V6 engine everyone has seemed to make their V6’s with 3 row seats. I loved that Jeep offered both versions. My options were Honda Passport (not fancy enough) or Lexus RX but not enough headroom for a dog kennel. The Jeep was gorgeous at first glance. I was very excited to get a new upgraded SUV with more bells and whistles that I’ve ever had. After a 3 month wait I received my vehicle. My interior was NOT put together! My speaker cover would not click in (until I had to have my windshield replaced at 6 months in). Dealership ordered new piece that never came. Then my fancy seats which I basically paid $15,000 more that the Limited just to have the fancy diamond stitching were not clipped together. The back carpet was not glued down. There’s still a piece of the interior under the driver seat that won’t stay in which is basically a piece of cardboard or felt. They have ordered me a new replacement piece. Still don’t have. I’m on my 3rd steering wheel at $1000 a pop ( which Jeep covered) because they use such cheap, thin leather over the heated coils. If I would’ve known they would all be like this I would’ve kept the original. I have gray interior which is no longer offered and now the steering wheel does not match my more charcoal dash. The last one was not stitched all the way and now my new one has loose stitching. I was so upset when I left the dealer 2 months ago I about had a stroke! My car was 2 years old on Memorial Day 2024. The dealership is worthless but it’s really not their fault it’s the lack of quality control from the manufacturer. I have tried getting in touch with corporate Jeep 5 times. They always cancel my request and tell me to work with dealership. I’ve asked if I should go to an auto body shop as the dealer mainly works on the engine NOT interior! The last person I spoke to gave me interior warranty but I purchased that from the dealer when I bought my car. The dealer will not let me speak to the owner. So far the engine works well and it drives great in the snow and ice in Minnesota. I would highly recommend not getting anything higher than the Limited. Just not worth it! Wish I would’ve gone with Lexus. It still makes me so angry I paid more for my Summit with this crappy finish. Such a joke! Jeep has no right selling “luxury” models with the poor quality they have.

Stunning! Just took delivery of my 2023 GC Summit Reserve. I had to go three hundred miles from home to get this vehicle with the HEMI engine. I wanted a White one, but I wouldn't say I liked the Black Roof which is standard on the Summit models. Mine is Black just like the one shown in this video with a Tupelo interior which I want. I was given a reasonable discount and I am thrilled with the vehicle. It is so quiet, so luxurious, and well-built.

I like the GC. It is a stealth wealth vehicle. If you want a Range Rover but don't want the attentiont hat comes with it because lets say you don't want your collegaues to think your Mr. Moneybags then you can get a GC Summit and slip under the radar and not be talked about that water cooler in the office. I’ve been a purely GM guy since my 2010 Camaro 2SS, 2016 Camaro 2SS, 2017 Sierra Denali, 2016 Cadillac CTS Performance and now the ZR2.
