- Even with the madness of our Black Friday sale, we're still bringing the Sunday morning vlog!
After a good shakedown for the TT at the Birkett relay we had a better idea what improvements needed to be made to make it better...
As we had already seen an improvement fitting the Verkline parts to our Golf, it made sense to upgrade these on the TT too!

Really enjoy watching your stuff because you explain why your doing what you're doing, for the fuel tank pick up issue, go check out KSR's U tube channel, they built a small tall tank that works as a surge tank kind of thing connected to the main tank, can't quite remember the reason, Rj in Oz
Cheers, One of the cars is getting a proper fuel cell but one will need a swirl pot for sure, it helped the Golf a lot!
I love it all iv got a 10 plate oct fl and I love it had a fair few handing mods
Great job guys
Reyt then, it looks like he's having fun in doing all these tech vids. Showing very special extreme race parts. It is Ryan's dark side 😆
I’m using the 20+ setting with the rear Verkline trailing arm and very pleased . I don’t know why they don’t make a tubular lower rear arm .
Enjoying the series 👍.
They do but didn't send it to us!
@@DarksideDevelopments Haven’t seen one for the Mk7 Golf on their website . I would need one that would support the seperate coil spring and shock .
Cheers
Mal
Drop them a message
@@DarksideDevelopments I shouldn’t but I just might 👍.
How would you know whether you receive a new version of the Verkline front subframe? I just saw your video and had no idea that there was an issue with the front subframe. I am thinking of getting one and want to make sure I dont get a leftover that a dealer may have lying around.
Buy from us and you will know!
Are you going to set the 'verkline car' up with geometry thats not achievable on the other car or set them the same?
I suppose the other question to ask is what are the limits on the 'standard' car for camber and caster?
Yeah we can find the limits and decide if we set the same.
Nice upgrades. Will the floor mounts need reinforced one day. As the car will be a lot stiffer ?
The Chassis seems quite strong but you never know!
Yes boys🤙🏼 been a follower for while now, loving your work😃 but just out of curiosity, and I’m not sure if you want disclose the info or not😬 (totally understand if you don’t, just tell me to do one! Haha) but what spring weight are you running on the golf? I’m on 650lb springs on my mk1 cupra R on Gaz golds (single piece rears) just wondering if it’s worth going to 750lb or dya reckon it’ll be to harsh? Looking forward to seeing how you get on in the tt’s👀
Regards, Pete
We run 150n rear and 130n front so 860/740lbs. Its not harsh but we went 160n and its too much, bounces over bumps.
Hi mate you have a fuel filter underneath just in front of the drivers rear wheel on the tfsi
Not on some of the newer generation cars. It’s the filter on the lift pump only. I think the 8S TT is one to them. The 8V RS3 certainly is anyway.
@@Mac_F87 never new that I thought they were at the rear or under the plastic cover at the drivers side . Well You learn something new every day 👍
@@roybamford8698 I think it’s crazy why they don’t have one. Just asking for trouble! Yeah the likes of the 8p A3/mk6 Golf etc they are under the plastic trim like you say.
Is there any weight saving with those subframes
We will check, not a lot if there is
Completely unrelated but, where did you guys get the hood vent at?
We can supply!
@@DarksideDevelopments do you guys have a website or something that I can check those out at?
we don't have them listed but drop an email :)
What do you think about anti squat stuff? Useful or not so much ? Thank you for your feedback
Can't be sure yet, feels stiffer
@@DarksideDevelopments what was the final consensus on the anti squat? Did you do back to back testing in the end?
The cajones Or stupidity!!!!! For sure Ryan & Scott can definitely pedal a car around but I must say Scott may have the ability to leave his brain in the toolbox a little more than Ryan for the faster laps when needed!
He doesn't get involved in the repairs, haha
Reyt then
Will there be supercup video
Yes, today possibly
definitely this week
Looking forward to it 👍🏻
reyt then
