incredible masking work and dedication to have done this amazing work with an airbrush, it's funny too because I picked these up specifically to do hand painting for the first time with them. Looking at my own attempt at the GM it's ridiculous how precise your painting is!
I love these kits and have been hand painting them out of necessity as I don’t own an airbrush. Seeing your Victory 2 Assault Buster in all its glory is so intimidating! The tip on using photo etch parts for those pesky thruster seams is inspired! Great video, thank you for your efforts and sharing the fruits of your labor with us!
Mostly RG, MG, PG experience here but finally decided to give these things a go and was even excited to try miniature painting. But omg, even with a magnifying glass lamp and tweezers this was incredibly frustrating. I thought building RGs trained me some patience and got me used to dealing with tiny parts but the plastic quality here is just, ugh... I hate ABS so having a full kit out of ABS was like a personal nightmare. I was lucky (unlucky?) to end up with a clear black plastic (phase 4 zaku 2) and it's so brittle, the leg pipe simply fell off despite being extra gentle with it. The other end was impossible to push through the hole on the leg too. Some parts didn't fit properly and had to be sanded a bit or pushed with extra force. Typical made in china (even if it's bandai china). After building the second leg I was so done with it I just threw it in the bin lol. At least it was only 500 yen. Never again. Very nice job on yours though.
This is outstanding work, your videos are a real treat. If I may ask, what is the number for those photo etch thrusters? Madworks has made many different kinds, I'm looking for those same ones
Are you human? No human has such patience. Bad joke aside, awesome job. Quick Q. I use the swab to remove panel lines like you but the paint comes off too. How many layers of top coat do i need?
wow very nice. As i am new to the hobby and somehow have 4 artifacts sitting on my desk but I'm a bit intimidated by them as I would have to paint them, and i hate painting with brush. This was an awesome video and the outcome is spectacular. But if i may ask why did you mask the metallic paints prior to top coating?
@@JLGunplaUK well now that you mention it, that makes perfect sense. LMAO I got wrapped up to thinking there was adverse reaction to top coating metallic. Anyways thanks for the reply and great video, looking forward to seeing more.
jesus christ man, that is some craftsmanship
This is something I think no one has ever done and you’ve done it!! It looks killer !! Love your videos !
Broooooo, those are beautiful
You should post on reddit. You don't see anyone working on these.
I don't get how Reddit works lol
Actually insane, they look amazing and to have painted something that tiny, that's talent
That's a high level of work. Great job! Love to see it
I almost always never handpaint and always prefer to mask. This is on a whole other level. Subbed for this! Pretty amazing work!
It's really small and detailed 👍
I enjoyed watching the detailed production process :)

They look like souped up HG kits. Never would have known that they were tiny, fantastic job.
Amazing video as always! I can't believe that this video only has 390 views!!!
Looks awsome! Looking forward to your next builds!

Amazing work! 👏
The most beautiful was Victory Gundam. Good job 👍
Awesome Job

Those are not by madworks, they're by UStar
@@JLGunplaUK ah good to know, they look so similar, thank you
Some men chose hell to make arts 😂
I can feel your effort on this
Hold on, Mr. Cement SP works on abs plastic??? and here i thought tamiya abs cement and plastruct weld cement where the only options i had.
you sir are insane
Thank you for the video. This series is small, but it's a good kit because the details are okay. The painting is a bit precious, though.
This is like the devil's challenged and a lot of patience is really required. Do you perhaps sell this custom painted kits?
I do and do commissions too, send me a DM on Facebook or insta
Perfect
Definitivamente desde Perú, eso es arte
Hi amazing work , what is the name of the tool you used to cut small circles in the tape?
Circle cutter
Where do you get these from. Been seeing them at hobby lobby but they only have one or 2 different ones time to time.
amazing work man! i would not have that much patients for that tiny parts...i do not paint any of my pilots that comes with the kits
another great vid! can i ask what the tool/bottle thing you use for the enamel thinner? The lid that lets out a small quantity - thanks in advance!
It's just called a thinner dispenser, no brand too 😅
@@JLGunplaUK Thanks!
Good

What type of paint underneath, what panel line paint and what thinner to remove it?
Well thanks for making the rest of us feel good about our painting skills. 🙄
You're welcome 😏
Did you use primer?
Did you watch the video?
i still don't get it, why bandai not achieve this kind of look with MG kit and HG it's badass

That's a good question, somehow I didn't mention why I was doing that lol, because I do a final matt coat but want to keep the metallics shiny

😂😂 I cry when cut a marking tape. Before paint
👍👍👍😘
Holy shit
Why no hand paint? Small kits like this, hand paint is a much better and easier option. You don’t have to spray every time
You get a better result with spraying, it's hard to not get brush marks at such a small scale. Besides I'm bad at hand painting
why not liquid mask?
