I have had two for a couple years and love them. They are my go-to microwave dishes for reheating also. I am single so the size perect. I bought these for gifts and never heard a negative remark. They clean easily with a scratch pad if anything sticks and they never mar. Win, win in my book.
Great honest review. I recently got one of these. I'm a stay at home mom and I have found this to be the perfect thing for me to make my lunch in. I was eating not so healthy stuff for lunch before because when my kids are at school I didn't want to mess up a bunch of pots or pans just for me. This has been great for when I am making a one person meal.
I've owned one for a very long time. Bought it at a thrift store for $1.00. I use it a lot. Have only cooked eggs in it. I break 3 eggs into it, add a splash of milk, pepper, grated cheese, stir with a fork, and cook for 2:00 min. Sometimes I have to add a bit more time if they are not ready, sometimes not. Almost like it depends on the eggs. Yes, the eggs and cheese stick. I soak it for a while and use a plastic scrubber to remove the leftover food and egg. Not a big job and I really enjoy the quick tasty snack I get with a small amount of work. My dishwasher will not remove cheese and egg. I'd recommend them.
My daughter-in-law bought two of these and gifted me one of them. I couldn't wait to try it when I got home. I made my hubby an egg omelet and he loved it. He said the egg was very fluffy, and that it was cooked to perfection. This is a win-win for me as this is the fastest and simplest omelet I have ever made.
I like mine, but I wish that the lid would lock on. I've broken 3 lids and I'm to the point now where if I break another one, I'll just throw out all the bottoms! I use it a lot--poached eggs, small reheats. I wish that the stores here would have kept selling them. Now I can only get it online and it is hard to receive parcels where I live.
Based on another review, it seems to be best for a 2 eggs omelet. I just purchased one @ Ross for $6.99, I think it will be great for my oil free diet.
I just received one as a gift for Christmas and have never heard about them before, partially due to never watching TV. Your review helped out a lot, but do you have any other videos on making any other of the recipes? I would love to watch before I try them out. Let me know. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the review! I haven't been able to find many if ANY reviews from 'real people' and not from the company that isn't longer than 1:30 minutes. Have you tried cooking anything else since this? How is the chocolate cake? I should get mine in a week or so. Anxious to try it out. :)
Great review ! Love the non stick stoneware product!!!! Heee. I guess the usual caution is recommended;Buyer beware! But then for $8.00 what do you expect?? From other reviews seems like can be used successfully for other things.Have fun and enjoy!
My lid fits better than yours. :) I'm curious and I was looking to find out if the glaze contains lead or anything else that may be harmful. I recently learned that many ceramic dishes of slow cookers do contain lead. Very important to know for the health conscious.
Yes, it's very good to be worried about glaze containing lead. I've read other people have tested these with lead testing kits and they've passed the test. I have no personal experience doing that though.
I received aStonewave Microwave cooker for Christmas. - I am eager to try any and all recipes in it. I am a Single man who cooks any and all methods, styles and types of meals. I have used old-timey (most from 1960's and older) "Pots-n-Pans" all my cooking life.
the lid was made not to fit. Since the pot is hand made the sizes will very.... I have one and so does my roommate. His is almost 2 inches wider than mine...
They may be "handmade" but they all come out of a common mold or molds. 2 inches wider? - - how'd it manage to fit in the box? Or if yours was 2 inches smaller how'd it manage to not fall out of the 2 styrofoam box inserts?
I just bought mine in Dollar Tree, I wanted one for a long time but initially they were too expensive for my budget. I happened to go to the store and there they were for a dollar so I bought eight. Haven't tested them yet but saved two for gifts.
Oh gosh I bought it to, but disappointed on how it didn't come out like it suppose to but then again I guess it all depends on wattage of the micro wave
So, I sent my secret-Santa an email asking for this "gadget" for Christmas because I would really like to have eggs without using oil. Poaching them in water is a bit time consuming and this thing looked like a swell alternative. Secret-Santa came through as expected. However, I have mixed reviews about the product. Unfortunately, my poached eggs must be cooked to long. The yolks cook hard before the whites are completely cooked. The flip side is using it to make scrambled eggs/omelets is a nice substitute to a greasy pan.
I was having the same problem with poached eggs. Did some experimenting and found that increasing the water to 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons seems to promote more steam for better cooking and just cooking for 40 seconds on high and then letting it rest for at least 1 minute yielded the desired "snotless" whites and nice warm runny yolks. Yeah, there was a little water left, but it's easy to pour off. Also, keeping the yolk in the center of the cooker seems to help. But it is hard to do because many of the cookers have a slightly convex bottom (a common manufacturing problem when firing stoneware) - - I finally found one that was flat, thanks to Walmart's easy return policy. Also, don't forget to salt & pepper BEFORE cooking - - really made a difference to me. Finally, a very tiny amount of (gasp!) butter or margarine smeared on the bottom and lower sides prevents most sticking. Non-fat cooking spay would do the same, but damn it, I like the decadence of that terrible yellow stuff.

Does anyone have the recipe book. I have lost it.

Thank you so much for your review. Have you cooked a potato in it?

Joey, I don't have any additional videos. Just experiment, That's the fun of getting something new.

Was the mailman who delivered it, normal size?
so do you still like it

I would suggest buying it from wal mart, they have a as seen on tv section.. so at least if you don't like it you can take it back.
YOu can do this in a regular frying pan :)
