    Welcome to the game! A word about Hero Points: expansion Hero Point challenges give 10 Hero Points each, vs the 1 point in Core Tyria. Because this is so, people go to the expansion maps and form large squads called Hero Point Trains, where everyone follows a commander (with tag), who guides the group from point to point throughout the map to farm them all. Safety in numbers & all that for the points that require combat, etc. This is the absolute fastest way to train up an elite spec for your toon. Use the LFG tool to look for HP Train squads posted in the expansion starter maps (Verdant Brink for HoT & Amnoon for PoF). This is also a fantastic way to unlock waypoints as you follow the commander around the map. Perfect for visiting later and mopping up the rest of the content at your own pace.

      Ah Hero Point Trains, got it. Ok so I think I've seen a few of those pass by with commanders and all but I didn't know what they were doing. Thank you for the advice and also... "your toon", are you referencing toontown online?

      @@Mario_Universe "Toon" means your character, your warrior. Most of the people has at least 9 "toons" one for each profession.

    You do not want to skip out on the roller beetle. Roller beetle racing is fantastic.

    Have you tried the dragon bash festival in Hoelbrak? Easy money selling the coffers, zhaitaffy and jorbreakers if you don't want the skins. Also, every 5 days of doing the festival dailies will give you a chest that lets you pick a festival exotic weapon for some nice skins; you can also do mount racing with roller beetle (an NPC rents you one for free so you can use it in the race) that way you can have a taste of what is like riding the beetle; all in all it's a really fun festival too. Be warned though: There are Holograms of the dragons you haven't encountered yet all over Hoelbrak, no major spoilers for the story other than the appearance of the dragons.

    • @Mario_Universe
      @Mario_Universe  Год назад +1

      I have not. I ran through Hoelbrak for another reason and saw a gigantic hologram of a dragon I don't know flying around and assumed that it's one of the big bad dragons lol. I'll have to try something over there though. I didn't realized you get some neat stuff and I'm not sure how often that festival happens. I guess once a year?

    • @legendaryvicius
      @legendaryvicius Год назад

      @@Mario_Universe yes, once a year and there's 10 days left on the festival still.

    Boosting a character and jump into the expansions can be really rough and makes you feel lost, so its a good thing you are taking your time to revisit the core zones and personal story. It really helps you understand your class. While the story have its flaws its still fun and from that it just get better. Good luck and have fun on Tyria :)

      Agree 100%! Save the boosts for fast leveling alts once you get tired of repeating the story.

      Thank you and yes I'm not expecting an incredible story but it's fun enough and like you said, I've only heard it gets better later so I'm looking forward to it!

      @@Mario_Universe The story and the way it is being conveyed does improve over the various LW Seasons and Expansions. A the time of the core story they were still finding their way.

    3:11 oh, HoT is actually before living world season 3 ;D
    3:32 lol
    4:13 I think it is ok since it gives you a glider^^~
    5:53 ah~ recommend you grind hero points(hp) from expansion maps, bc one hero point gives you 10 points on expansion maps, meanwhile core game hp only gives you one. And hp from PoF maps are more solo friendly as well. However, there are many HP trains on HoT maps too, so if you don't want to skip HoT hp, you can check the LFG to see if there is any hp train to join^^~
    Happy journey~ and take your time lol

    Howdy.
    The good thing about dailies is that you can do either pve, pvp or wvw ones, all that matters is to do at least 3 of them for that sweet sweet gold.

    Speaking of mounts:
    - For now Griffon is off the table as you need to finish Path of Fire story for that.
    - Roller beetle would be simple to get, with some minor spoilers
    - Skyscale though, thats like the whole season 4 story, so super spoilery (technicly you only need episode 4 and 6 plus one more episode from Icebrood saga as you can farm the currencies there, but its still complicated)
    Since you already need hero points you could either go back to Path of Fire and grind out the xp for the jackal masteries as a second objective or go to Heart of Thorns and do the first story instance if you havent done so already (big spoiler there though) and get the xp for gliding while getting hero points.
    Good luck on your PvP session, you will need it. :D
