This is truly amazing! Getting the wrong diagnosis is a liability for the doctors and the hospital. But having a doctor who admit, that they gave the wrong diagnosis in giving you the right one. This shows that you've got a good doctor, who is honest. Having a child is a miracle at any age.
Yes she is. I forgot about that story from our Bible. My Aunt Joann was also gifted a baby after years of trying they gave up, then her cycles stopped. She was told she was going through the change but things felt different from what the doctors said would happen. I thought it might be a baby, but said no the doctor would know. She went back and told them how she was feeling and yes she was Pregnant! After almost 20 years of trying. The happiness was over after the baby was 6months old, they found out that she had cancer. It took her about 3 years later. I always said that I want to see my Aunt Joann first when I go back to Heaven. 😊😌😕😔
Michele Conley I can imagine. With a laugh and a tear now and then no doubt (maybe the latter in private ?), but he will know through your stories what a great person she was ❤
It's not that strange. She had part of her cervix removed so she couldn't have children anymore. It's easy fron the sideline to criticize but I too would not have thought of a pregnancy with her medical history. Wrong? Sue me.
wow. congratulations, Alison. What a wonderful surprise. I do agree though that someone needs a kick up it for misdiagnosing you like that, thus putting you all under immense stress.
Really if you were a doctor and saw a old woman who knew she couldnt have children anymore your first thought would be she must be pregnant its also not easy for the doctors to find out she was pregnant
👏👏👏👏👏fantastic i has twins at 15 And they were 2 months early then when they were 6 months I fell pregnant again my twins are the age a was when I had them now I want more
Many Doctors aren't so bright and they have way too much attitude! Idiots! Didn't even try to listen for a heartbeat! Caused this woman a lot of distress!
Jeana A I dont care what age you are, if any woman felt a "fluttering in her stomach" I would do a pregnancy test. I would think "BABY" regardless of how insane it sounded.
It could also be a number of other reasons that have nothing to do with the miracle baby. Some people pull one thing out of video and that's why they dislike it, of course lots do it just to be trolls but there are other reasons. For example not just the quality of the video, but rather some despise robot voices (personally i dont care but there's some out there who hate them and are annoyed of the sound of them) or they may hate all the mis-diagnoses and competency of the doctors, also another thing could be (my own personal problem that I've been guilty of time and time again) is accidentally pressing the dislike-button when I try to click on the links for the channel. A good number of times I've probably missed recognizing that i pressed it and i don't even know they are there unless I happen to return to the video later on.
Tracey Lynn c Falconer nancy grace had twins at that age , more women have babies in their 40s now adays.its dangerous and sometimes they do it with medical help to conceive but its done
A simple sonogram is often not done when a doctor guesses a diagnosis and sticks with his guess instead of going through a process of elimination even if referred to a specialist they begin with the first diagnosis instead of starting tests from scratch to find out specifically what is wrong with you and try to confirm or eliminate the original guess
Women can have a baby naturally up to the age of sixty. They think they are sick with swollen legs and when they go to the Dr.they are surprised to find out that they are expecting.
I had cervical Cancer! They removed my whole Cervix and told me the exact same thing! "You can never get pregnant again! And even if you did, you couldn't carry a baby without a cervix!" Three months later I was PREGNANT! "We" had to go through surgeries and spend Nine months in bed to get there but I delivered a 10lb 14 oz baby boy the on his due date!
ummm ok so I had the same surgery. It's called a partial hysterectomy. It stops all menstrual cycles therefore stopping all egg production. She has a lawsuit because they did NOT perform the procedure they told her they did. I don't know what they did but she needs to go get a full check up. I had the procedure done at 23 years old. I'm now 36.
The term "grandparent" or "grandmother" conveys an enormous amount of preconceived notions regarding the woman's actual age. If she gave birth to her first child at age 18, which we are using simply as a reasonable starting point, then to become a grandmother 26 years later would only make her 44, hardly ready for the walking frame and the rocking chair! So, becoming a mother again, at such an age is certainly not without many, many precedents to lead the way. Granted, her medical care left a great deal to be desired this time, as she was possibly on medications that may have proven problematic during a pregnancy, and she in effect had absolutely no prenatal care up to 32 weeks time, but, and this is an ENORMOUS "BUT," things did happen to work out very nicely at the end, fortunately for all concerned! As for her physicians, it's a sad tale to tell for their professional alertness, and their outright failure to do the appropriate exams and testing, for which I am hopeful they are held EXTREMELY accountable! Any woman who still has all her organs in place AND functioning, should never have pregnancy discounted in terms of a medical diagnosis, or not tested for in the light of administering specific diagnostic studies or medication administration. If you have not yet been through menopause, full bore, from beginning to end, then you should always have that possibility thoroughly excluded before such things are done. In not so doing, irreparable damage to the child and even the mother could be done otherwise. She is lucky in one particular earlier instance though, when her condition, first diagnosed as "abnormal cells" from her cervix was successfully treated by a much smaller procedure than is usually done, which was only removing a portion of her cervix. This means that it was obviously caught at the very earliest stages, and hadn't yet penetrated the cervical tissue higher up. Many women would have been given a full-on hysterectomy for "safety's sake." Leaving the ovaries behind can usually be done at such a young age, as were my own at age 28, to spare putting women through full bore menopause beginning before she's even left the OR. That is a horrific way to spend your 20's, to be sure. I have a feeling the family will likely be offered extreme compensation, in order that "the fur doesn't fly too far from the cat" and I seriously don't expect they will be receiving a bill for "services rendered" from this point on. Providing that is, as long as they can be persuaded to continue to seek their medical care there. Likely with other practitioners, however. If not, cash a settlement is usually held out for, in order to provide recompense for services sought elsewhere. Hospitals generally have a pretty fair ability to compensate "in house" if at all possible, in order to avoid very lengthy, very expensive, lawyer-laden jury trials, with all that entails, including even getting TO the point of being afforded a trial date on extremely crowded court calendars to begin with. It can take a year, or two, to just get in a courtroom, once all the preliminaries have been done. Then you have exploration of ALL the facts by multiple, detail laden reports, exhibits and testimony from each side, each heard in its turn, which can actually take months after you first set foot in the courtroom, once the jury is selected, then, once that's all finally said and done, we wait for a jury verdict as to responsibility on both sides. If the medical "side" of things is found responsible, then get the recommended settlement figures from the jury, which are generally WAY out of proportion with either what the defendent was prepared or theoretically able to pay, or the actual damages done. So, now we go to appeals, which is a whole different ball of wax, and can take ages longer. Not to mention all sorts of negative publicity in the works as well. By this time, Junior could be graduating high school, if not college, and any settlement finally agreed upon can go back out of the "winner's" pocket and into the lawyers' fees. Doctors and hospitals have their own malpractice insurance policies that only pay out a limit, so exceeding that in award money would probably be no more than an illusion. No, I would have to think LONG and hard, for about 5 minutes, to decide on either lawsuit, or some form of private arbitration, where I get to make use of any winnings within my own lifetime to the benefit of my small, and growing child! Yes, I've known people who were "injured" in such a manner, and definitely came out FAR ahead of the pack in taking a settlement from the "defense" instead of spending years and years sitting in a courtroom. Of course, once the settlement documents are signed, they are usually required by the law covering such agreements to not discuss the terms in public, so nobody EVER knows how much they've actually received, but when they are suddenly driving nicer cars, wearing nicer clothes, and/or living in a nicer part of town, or at least in a better house, and the working spouse can start taking on fewer hours, then you can guess it had to be fairly substantial. The purchase prices of such things are only the "first cost" and you must be able to continually maintain such things properly in order to keep them. That can cost a ton by itself. But, if it improves quality of life for those involved, in addition to continued medical care, then I would say it serves its purpose. Of course, all this is totally moot, if this happened in another country, like the UK, which has a totally different set-up, medically and legally. I think there was mention of the woman telling her story to "The Sun"? Isn't there a British Tabloid by that name? 🤔
This happened similar to my husband. His brother is three months younger than his first son. His mom had been told she had a cyst and needed surgery. Second opinion found the truth in 10 minutes.
Twice her doctors were wrong, and it caused a lot of heartache. But, what a blessing, not unlike Sarah and Elizabeth in the bible, both barren and well past child bearing years...when God blessed them with a child! This family has some special times ahead! These days doctors can't diagnose their way out of a paper box. Not like the well rounded doctors of the old days. I wrote a joke about the frustration today's patient's feel. Q. What's the difference between a bad doctor and a good veterinarian? A. The veterinarian wishes his patients could talk.
I wanted more babies but a doctor Rios took that away from me without my permission. when I had a C-section birth. at st. Mary's Hospital in Tucson AZ I found out that it is not allowed in this Hospital. Because the Nuns that owns the hospital do not agree with that type of surgeries.
That's cool but when those babies he older they might had trouble explaining how they are related to their class mates. Think of it. The boy is just a few months younger then his niece! In most kid's minds aunts and uncles are supposed to be years older then them. I would know because my niece and nephew are 20 years older then me!
How could the 47 year old know she was pregnant if the idiot doctors did not seek the correct diagnosis? 47 is not old to have a baby, just lucky. But she herself could have sought more medical attention especially if her stomach got larger and she felt something inside moving around.
She needs to change her Doctor! He has to be a real dummy and so much for "knowing your own body". Never listen to a Dr when something strange is going on. They are not God, just for your own piece of mind, get another opinion.
Beth A not really now most people can live up to their 80s or 90s and shes only about 40 not 60 most likely mid to late 40s and what do you mean by "not fair" it's not like try were planning on having a second kid they thought the couldn't have kids anymore so it's not unfair to the baby they had him at a young age
This is truly amazing! Getting the wrong diagnosis is a liability for the doctors and the hospital. But having a doctor who admit, that they gave the wrong diagnosis in giving you the right one. This shows that you've got a good doctor, who is honest. Having a child is a miracle at any age.

I'm sorry for your loss and that she only got to enjoy 3 years of her long wanted child. 😔
The Alien Thank you, that means a lot. Her son Micheal would ask me questions about her when he was little. Which I gladly shared with him.
Michele Conley
I can imagine. With a laugh and a tear now and then no doubt (maybe the latter in private ?), but he will know through your stories what a great person she was ❤

It's not that strange. She had part of her cervix removed so she couldn't have children anymore.

Just imangine! Being born an uncle. And younger than your niece! Wow. Good for them too. ☺
Miracles are real God is alive. May GOD bless, protect her and the baby
The 30 of you who disliked this video needs to be ashamed of yourselves
I think they disliked the bad quality of the video not the baby surprise
Miss Cindy
I didn't see it like that before but now i do
Justice Carter The number has risen to 76 now. Great...
Sophia Bunny
Hopefully its just the quality of thw video they dislike

"comma, alison said." LOL
... how she tells the story... Sorry, but it's just slightly scary to listen to.
That's adorable
How old was the grandmother??!
Jane Brown probably like 21
The grandmother was probably in her 40's
Tracey Lynn c Falconer nancy grace had twins at that age , more women have babies in their 40s now adays.its dangerous and sometimes they do it with medical help to conceive but its done

My dad sent me this and THIS IS MY AUNTIE!!! Sorry I’m late😂😂
Wow! It would scare me to know that I was going to have a baby and not realize til it was time to give birth that I was pregnant that has to be scary.
Imagine being older than your uncle by two weeks. Or have your brother be younger than your child. Two different perspectives of how that was
Wow that’s was nice
This is making me tear up
I can't imagine being older than my uncle or aunty

How cool
Aww
How old is she
O.o wow
She should of at least taken a pregnancy test. All the signs were there, swollen ankles, sore breast, belly growing, and fluttering in her stomach?

That’s nice but at my age I’d be a little upset if my doctor misdiagnosed a baby as a cyst!
God bless you won the lottery better then the lottery a gift from God live a good life you never know what's around the corner
Wait that means the daughter of the lady with Bobby her kid would have an uncle just younger than she is. WEIRD.
How did she get pregnant?
Jack D
Your kidding right!!
Jack D the same way everyone else gets pregnant
Your too young for RUclips if your asking that.
Jack D.. By having sex
Somebody needs a little sit-down discussion about the birds and the bees, Lol.

Awwwwww💙💙💙💙💙
It is Soo obvious!
The longest 3 minutes of my life!!
Was it a cesarean? How did this all work with only half a cervix? How old was she?
When I read the title,
There was an old lady who swallowed a fly,
Perhaps she’ll die,
She swallowed a spider to catch the fly
Perhaps she’ll die
Can you change the voice
The story keeps going in circles before it gets to the real story
God is good......
Wow

That's cool but when those babies he older they might had trouble explaining how they are related to their class mates.
Think of it. The boy is just a few months younger then his niece!

It's hard to feel the touching moments in this vid. Just because there is a robotic voice.
Can one say MALPRACTICE?!
So so
