One thing to keep in mind. All of these truck mounts are/ were designed for the 8-9’ plows V plows and the like. Pushing a 14’ plow at both the additional weight of the plow and weight of the extra snow may damage the frame of the truck easier then the manufacturer of plow mount with the plow designed for that mount would. Just a thought.
This was a really fun video Brian! Maybe instead of a shop tour next year. You should do a manufacturing tour of some of the products you use. Excellent job!
Hey brian, thanks for the in-depth tour of the shop really helps deciding on my new purchase for next year season. Currently have the dxt and love it, but you can't beat the productivity of that new snowpower. I was just kind of waiting it out a little while to see how well it does in our industry. #Macomb twp.
That will take some getting use to for sure. That’s a wide cut. Hopefully we get more snow up here in northern Michigan this year. Bought a new plow this summer to be ready. Congratulations on your success brother. I’ve been watching the channel for several years now and it’s great seeing your hard work paying off for your family and crew.
Great for light snow storms in wide open areas! Looks really cool. Wonder how it handles a 2 foot storm or a foot plush of slushy stuff? Guess we will find out.
I like how they are working with Boss, and would love to see them use some of Boss's technology like Smarthitch. One that would be nice to see is a spring load kick stand pin. One of my concerns is when a cylinder breaks like no one is going to have the replacements other than Sno Power them selves, but other than that looks great
I mean I understand the point and think it’s awesome.. but I just feel like if this was a good idea boss or western would have done it already. That’s a lot of snow per push and I just don’t know how well transmissions will like it. I also would stick with a plow you can get service. Our boss dealer is open during storms all night. But I will definitely be watching this winter to see how it goes!! 👍
Douglas Dynamics is about making the company money. The angle cylinders blow out now, pumps are garbage and the metal is junk. We need new inventive products.

How’s the trip work with the wings forward? Seems like a good way to go head first through the windshield or bend a truck frame. And 9 cylinders... lot more seals and hoses to leak... not including using both hydraulic fluid and nitrogen. And separate buttons to put power to different switches, just seems like a lot of extra stuff to go wrong with the unit. Also, what is the availability of parts in the middle of a storm if a cylinder, hose, controller goes bad? Is the nearest parts hours away in bad weather, local parts, need to carry a spare of every part? Hope it works out for you. Be interesting to see how it performs and if you will be able to use the full 14’ effectively in different types of snows. I think I’ll stick with my arctic 12.5’ sectional for now
Need some timbrens or bags in the front now. That truck looks sweet though. Not sure how I feel about the 8’ portion not being able to articulate. A little odd if you ask me. However, maybe the 3’ of wings on each side will accommodate that.
Since they already have a Tesla in the shop, I assume they will be one of the first to rig up a CYBERTRUCK with a plow? Hopefully I get my Quad motor CT in time for next winter as I'm pretty early in line and def want to plow with it.
