I refuse to pay the following month until they return my money to the bank. They cancel my policy in the middle of a trip. Should I sue them?😢
Exactly. It used to be a basic understanding that you choose to take your life in your own hands when you drive a car, fly a plane or ride a horse… Doing anything comes with a risk of injury and death. People used to get into fender benders all the time, and the cost of repairs was manageable for most people. Then insurance companies came along, not as a mandate, but as a Market Business. It was always something of a Ponzi scheme, but in its infancy offered a service for the people who might not have a decent savings stashed away to pay for damages. Being a service, insurance companies competed with each other, offering low rates and high returns. It was a market business.. But then the State made Insurance Mandatory.. This removed the incentive for market competition, because now insurance companies are guaranteed money. So they hiked the price up. Same thing happened with Health care. It used to be that doctors and hospitals were Free Market Services, offering healthcare services for competitive rates. Then Health insurance came along, seeing a way to collaborate and guarantee both medical services and medical insurance money. So the doctors and hospitals were starting to charge people more if they were uninsured, to incentivize people to get health insurance, because with insurance they were guaranteed money. And as soon as the state mandated health insurance, competition ceased altogether. And with the State Mandating Insurance, the Lawsuit Culture blossomed.. Because now people were incentivized to Sue each other and their insurance over guaranteed money. People without insurance were suited for all they own, and people with insurance were suited for not getting payed enough, and insurance companies were suing each other for more money… Insurance as we know it is a Scam, and the manipulation of the market by the government and insurance industry has insensitivised the litigious lawsuit culture we are saddled with today, sapping the people of their earnings and possessions, and destroying the free market. It is the Death of Liberty. And at the rate we are going we will all soon be perpetual Debt slaves owned by the Insurance institutions, in a constant state of suing each other for our five minutes of wealth that will inevitably go right back into the Coffers of the Courts, the Lawyers and The Insurance Industry.
On public roads you don't need insurance it's covered under the license plate but many people doesn't know this... if you take the highway than yes you need insurance because highways are not public roads but government build roads. Public roads are your normal streets.

Why don’t they include the insurance in the registration of the vehicle?. We have it in Australia and it’s easy no fuss, no stress of getting pulled over because you forgot to pay for the insurance!.
Instead of fining them, just create an insurance fund for them by making them pay $5000 into it, and $100 a month therafter. That fund pays out damages like real insurance without an insurer profiting. Use DMV staff to assess damages. Every 3 years you up the price for new drivers, while cutting the cost for good drivers.

And i havent heard back from either one and i have no vehicle.........also most people are probably driving cars that are $5k cars just by themselves.

I’d say about the same, but in my opinion it’s way too expensive. People are paying way too much unfortunately.

Canada- Section 24(3)a fine of 598.00. No insurance -if you don't have insurance at all. The vehicle can be impounded for three months.
if you do have insurance and you don't have it with you. They can call in insurance that you do have it, but you can get a ticket of $ 81.00.
That you can also dispute in Court and it Wouldn't be the same as section as section 24 (3) and (b) you have a choice how you want to dispute it.
If the officer is nice he, might just give a lesser clearance in his Mercy or Grace concerning traffic tickets, refusing to show your insurance has many reasons, the officer might be considerate to that reason-.vs -No insurance at all.
Not in regards to other officers money laundering, that's a different story.
Not sure what you're referencing, but the officer is referencing the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, which is what applies to drivers in Ontario.

In Arizona its:
The fine for driving without auto insurance in Arizona depends on the number of offenses and can range from $500 to $1,000:
First offense
A minimum fine of $500, plus a three-month suspension of your driver's license, registration, and license plates
Second offense within 36 months
A minimum fine of $750, plus a six-month suspension of your driver's license, registration, and license plates
Third or more offenses within 36 months
A minimum fine of $1,000, plus a one-year suspension of your driver's license, registration, and license plates
In addition to the fine and suspension, you may also be required to file an SR-22 certificate of financial responsibility for up to two years. This is a more expensive type of car insurance.
That’s a different system for sure; thank you for sharing.
Absolute criminal..look how proud he is to say I have the right to steal your money.
you prolly dont even got a car bud
The insurance company overcharged me for a car I sold 4 months ago, but they charge the new owner too, double policy same car same company KEMPER (INFINITI), guess what? I refuse to pay the following month until they return my money to the bank. They cancel my policy in the middle of a trip. Should I sue them?😢
Next it will be a life sentence.
You dont need insurance if you can afford to pay for the damage you cause
Exactly.
It used to be a basic understanding that you choose to take your life in your own hands when you drive a car, fly a plane or ride a horse…
Doing anything comes with a risk of injury and death.
People without insurance were suited for all they own, and people with insurance were suited for not getting payed enough, and insurance companies were suing each other for more money…
Insurance as we know it is a Scam, and the manipulation of the market by the government and insurance industry has insensitivised the litigious lawsuit culture we are saddled with today, sapping the people of their earnings and possessions, and destroying the free market.
Negative. You forgot health care
Didn’t know you get fined for “not” driving with insurance. Like you have the insurance do you really have to drive???
Me watching this while driving with no insurance 😅
Facts ❤😂
Everytime I get caught driving without insurance they always say "fine" so I'm fine right?
On public roads you don't need insurance it's covered under the license plate but many people doesn't know this... if you take the highway than yes you need insurance because highways are not public roads but government build roads. Public roads are your normal streets.
You do that buddy. 🫡
lmao… try this in Durham, they’ll throw the book at you.
@The Knowing do you know what's the difference between federal laws and provincial laws?
@The Knowing if they throw the book at me, I'll throw the whole federal law book at them 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
@Leeeroy Jenkins I have been doing it since 2000

Yeah it’s true, avoiding bad drivers is the difficult thing some days. People are getting ripped off by insurance companies daily.

Hello officer I always catch cops on their phones as they drive. Why is it ok for them to do that?
If I am paying insurance, Why does my insurance go up after a claim? Scammers
Because you no longer have a clear record. Duh.
@dianeparry6498 But we are paying monthly to cover ourselves and will continue pay DUH. You seem to be favoring the people who work relentlessly to crush the middle class. You are a bootlicker or somethin?
Only if the claim is your fault.
My wife got a no insurance fine 6 years ago and as he said $5000 went to ex copper, they wanted $2500 to represent her in court, but one lady at front desk told to represent her myself and didn’t have pay anything besides the fine, I did that, asked for the disclosure at the court house, talked the crown and told him why she was without insurace and he agreed to reduce the fine, but it was up to the judge to decide how much would be reduce. Court day I present case to the judge and agreed to reduce it from $5000 to $350 and my wife went a paid it the same day.
I argued that she was taking one of hour kids to the hospital because it was an emergency and at tha moment she was on social assistance and I was out of town for work that day and couldn’t drive my son myself and she didn’t a choice, but drive her uninsure car, but that was the first and last time she drove with no insurance
Hanks for the input.
Still cheaper then insurance 😂
Ive driven without insurance+licence suspension and i drive like i own the insurance companies as well as the road but didnt get pulled over once for about a year
Keep up the GREAT work my Canadian brother 🍻✌️🇨🇦✌️
"You again?" like an npc from skyrim lol
FIVE THOUSAND??? Back in the 90's in Colorado I think I paid $250. Yikes.
I was stopped by the police. I don't have car insurance. And they sent me 45 days of corral the car? What do I do and they didn't tell me how much
Insurance is a scam 😊
I don’t have no money for insurance payments.
But I will have $5000 for ticket.😂😂😂
It's a by-law...have you ever taken it up to the Supreme Court? I have and found out a lot of very interesting information. Especially when it comes to traffic laws.. notice its a fine
Not a by-law
Not true. It's 5 grand if you've been caught a bunch of times, or were in a collision. First time I was caught it was $1200. By the book its 5 grand, but the judge will bring it down if you're record is relatively clean.
Love these. Listen and learn!
Thanks!
In Canada no insurance probably means the driver already has a suspended license, after huge fines, drivers enter the criminal system. You ALSO cannot sound your horn excessively. It’s use is a warning for defensive driving.
Some states have it where you lose your license for a year and have to do community service plus the fines for not be able to afford insurance especially in the high states that everything is expensive
Way too expensive these days.
My annual insurance costs much less than $5000. I currently live in Peel but there is a possibility of moving back to T.O. soon and I hope the insurance doesn't go up.
When are the police going to start policing for the people and not the government ?
Well I'm not sure exactly where this post came from however I live in Colorful Colorado it a $500 fine, but don't move here because of that reason, the cops here 10 times worse than any other state I've ever lived in.
A lot cheaper there for sure, Canada here.
Hello officers. Is driving with your dog in your lap consider distracting driving????
Nope
Dang, Canada has really high prices, it’s about $200 here in Texas
Wow!
How is someone living on a fixed disability income supposed to afford auto insurance and the tickets that come with being pulled over by cops. My medical bills and living expenses are 300% of income as is….?
Insurance rates are too high, I agree with that. But driving without is an avoidable expense.
@@OfficerArsenaultI hear you. I live with MS, I have a car so my caregiver can take me to my weekly appointments..so what options do I have?
New update fine ehh.
Use to be $1,276.54 and doubled on every extra ticket..
How about driving with suspended insurance? What’s the minimum
I'm pretty sure he said, how much is the fine if you're NOT DRIVING with insurance. And not driving without insurance. There's no fine for having insurance and not driving.
You are right 😂 he asked it wrong 😅😅😅😅
HOW MUCH IS THE FINE IS YOU ARE DRIVING WITH NOT INSURANCE
In India the insurance is just 3000$ for a year, that to for a Lamborghini and the fine for not having an insurance policy is 12$.
How much fine to Insurance companies for scamming ppl?
I love how tough bro feels with his little ass smirk
As tough as you and your comment? 😂😂 what a flex lol.
Why is insurance mandatory but private individuals own insurance companies…. Insurance should be government owned institutions
What about the Chevron Doctrinethat was
overturned
“If you’re not driving with insurance” 🤣
I WAS SELLING A CAR WHEN I WAS 18 AN HAD TO DRIVE IT DOWN THE ROAD SO I DIDN'T SELL IT AT MY HOME. DIDN'T HAVE INSURANCE ATM CAUSE I WAS SELLING IT. AS WE KET AN MAKING THE DEAL A COP PULLED UP. AN I ENDED UP GETTING A 5000$ FINE. THANKS OPP. SOLD CAR FOR 2500$ AN PAID HALF. 😂 😢😅
Its a mandatory court appearance and it's up to the judge to decide total fine payment and when it needs to be paid by.
Damn I remember in 2012 was just $300 the fine 😮
This is pretty messed up.. I had my motorcycle stolen, bought a new one couldn’t get it insured and eventually had a iffy run in with the police. That was 2 years ago. It’s lead to “giving up” in a sense im now an alcoholic and I’m still paying the fines. Not to mention I can’t get insurance if I wanted to now. Sure teach a youngster a lesson but I feel it’s ruined my life over the years. Not complaining but sharing is all. God bless
Sorry to hear that, truly 🙏🏼
I wish it was like that everywhere I've been in so many accidents where the other driver did not have insurance and they just let them go with a simple ticket with hardly any fine
Pay attention to the question... he asked if you are not driving»» with the insurance so you don't have to have insurance if you don't driving 🤨
Yup big scam agreed, also never accept the first offer an insurance company gives you. Wait till the 3rd offer maybe push to the 4th. They offered me 19k on the 3rd offer it was 22k then I hit them with the tires and the tunnel cover, baby seat and jackets. Came to 23.5k. Fight don't give up.
Yeah that’s a good point about not accepting the first offer, I did the same and it really worked out in my favour. Perhaps I’ll do an interview with an agent. I appreciate the comment.
he asked how much is a fine if you are NOT driving with insurance ?
Why don’t they include the insurance in the registration of the vehicle?. We have it in Australia and it’s easy no fuss, no stress of getting pulled over because you forgot to pay for the insurance!.
Starts at $5k ?????? Where does it end?
Doubles every offense after. Second offense starts at $10,000
I got a ticket for no insurance in California, it was roughly $750, and after I got insurance, they lowered it to $500ish
Very nice 👍🏼
Instead of fining them, just create an insurance fund for them by making them pay $5000 into it, and $100 a month therafter. That fund pays out damages like real insurance without an insurer profiting. Use DMV staff to assess damages. Every 3 years you up the price for new drivers, while cutting the cost for good drivers.
For a Mazda 2023 Cx5 and cx30 2022 with 2 tickets and 2 driver I pay around 5k a year
Get a lawyer.. thats all you pay🤣🤣🤣
Not in the USA, it's about 6-8 hundred
Just got a hit in run in the middle of the night while my truck was parked outside, drove my truck all the way to the body shop just for 2 days later they tell me theyre gunna total it. I walked around the neighborhood and found 2 different cars with the correct color hit on the correct side, told the cops the plates. And i havent heard back from either one and i have no vehicle.........also most people are probably driving cars that are $5k cars just by themselves.
What a piss off, I don’t blame you. Not acceptable in my book.
I think sometimes when a cop tails you when you’re speeding, and they don’t pull you over, it’s probably because you got no convictions and valid insurance
Driving w/o insurance, one slip up or cop notice you, runs your plates and you get big ticket
I cannot confirm nor deny that lol. Thanks for the input!
In Ontario (no fault) insurance is a crock. Everyone pays. Had a accident in Grants New Mexico. Other driver was 100% at fault. Car was fixed in Albuquerque New Mexico, $12, 000.00 US and then repaired again for $9,000 CDN. When settked with insurance company I asked if they would summit reimbursement against other drivers insurance company, i was informed no faukt insurance so my rate should not increase.
Got pulled over twice in California and had no insurance, or registration and, I never got a 5k fine, just apear to court paper and I got dismissed 😅
Happens a lot here too. Always go to court!
What have you done about it? I mean I have seen people's cars getting hit by other drivers and they simply exchange information, but what if they dont have insurance? Do you have to call the police and file report or how do you go about it?
Yes police can be called for sure.
