Fun Fact: There's actually multiple versions of Bob's full sprite, with the slimes in the jackets changing seemingly at random (the pink 'head' slime is a constant so far, which I assume means it's the slime that's actually capable of communicating with Beatrix while the others are there to help out). The versions I've seen are quantum like the one you saw - I think its locked in as the sprite for the initial call - as well as one with rock slimes as his 'body' and his original sprite from SR1 that's all pinks.
@Z1 Gaming, I gotten Bob right after collecting every type of chicken so I think it it has to do with having each type in your slimeopidea and feeding each type at least once to a slime (except chickido), they may also be a feed x amount of chickens but that I'm not sure of. Also those spot that you say are deactivated dash pad are just the spot where you have unlocked the map.
I was wondering when Bob would show up... He showed up in my game around Day 6 or 7 so I honestly thought he'd show up for you then as well. I'm glad he finally showed up for someone else too.
Pro Tip: always have 4 separate chicken coops and keep only specific chickens in each one, 1 coop for each type, Regular Hen Hen, Stony Hen, Briar Hen, and Sea Hen.

Yes and chickens of all "age", even chickadoo's, can go in the silos (halts the "aging" process too). Putting chickens in a slime pen they will still age out to old chickens but you wont have any chickadoos because theyre in the wrong pen to breed.
@@angeltt4390 not true... i filled up a slime pen with chickens and they reproduce constantly... as long as the slimes dont eat the roostro they keep reproducing and making more chickens... every once in awhile i have to replace the roostros but otherwise automated feeding right there...
Omg the portable scare slime, you can not use the cave area as a free range pen, just put one scare slike at each of the cave exits and have their favorite food growing and they can never escape.

Decorations: never, ever used them. Turrets: never, ever used them. Portals: used all the time! Drills/Pumps/Apiaries: used a lot. Jump Pad: used one in the Moss Blanket a lot for some reason.
I've never bothered with turrets or decoration, the tar are actually useful for clearing out areas imo. This game however tar seem far more persistant in the world, so the turrets placed strategically feel much more useful.

I've had this game since the first day but I have yet to set up my new computer since my old one can't handle it. I'm torn as to whether I should watch these or not and spoil the surprises, but I can't help it! No will power. That's why I keep slipping on my diet. Oh, well...this looks great and is motivating me to clear out the place for my new computer to go. 🙂
What if the person leaving the drones is Beatrix’s kid and the reason that they look so familiar to Mochi’s drones is because it is mochi’s drones from the future?
Notice how it said the journal that I had as a kid in that one archive and mochi said that she made those drone in a journal as a kid so I think it’s mochi from the future that went into the past
i am finding it funny that your keeping the Hen hens since they dont seem to be any slimes fav food and are so easy to get i actually gave all mine over to my meat eating slimes since i had to many of them but almost none of the others also would point out u need to get the elder chicken collector upgrade

Odd... I don't have the sea hen chickadoo unlocked yet have had multiple visits from bob, I think it might have something to do with breeding a certain amount of chickens.

as of right now at least nothing needs water... water is only for killing tarr... not even the water turrets need water they just have unlimited ammo once placed... at least for now...
You did get the Heart Upgrade, just from what I hear, you might have gotten the glitch if you get 2 upgrades at the same time 1 will be cancelled/glitched from showing it's unlocked
To unlock bob it cant be that you need every single chicken i dont even have the stony hen or the stony chick so i think its when you feed enough chickens cause my slimes were literally in a chicken dream
Not a knock on you, but for Slime Rancher 2, I’m surprised how little slime ranching appears to be needed. In the first one, at least you needed to collect things for missions and such. It just feels like there is very little actual slime ranching going on, without much incentive from the game to encourage it.
After the first few days it is pretty much useless. As annoying I think it could be, just making everything cost more money and plorts might help that. The lack of missions is definitely part of that too
@@DomesticLlamas23 I imagine there will be more to do eventually... especially when we go into the labyrinth... and when that happens we might also get automation as the same time with improved drones or at least thats what i heard that the drones would be improved versions of the first game... which makes sense the drones in slime rancher 2 are from the future after all... it only makes sense they would be better.
Keep in mind the game is still in its first iteration of Early Access, and if the market display is any indication there's going to be a *lot* more slimes to work with and as a result more to do with them. It makes sense that the slime ranching element feels limited given there's currently less slimes available to ranch (and build missions around) in SR2's Early Access than there is in the complete, multi-updated form of SR1 while the exploration elements are almost on par with the original game already. That should improve as updates come, especially since the devs themselves have said this initial release is missing a lot of what they have planned when it comes to refining features from SR1 and building on new ones for SR2. Even with future updates I would take the amount of effort required with a grain of salt since (if you're like me and am still playing despite running out of new content) there's going to be a stockpile of resources collected between updates.
I heard you have to feed some chickens to your slimes to unlock it, I collected all the chickens but never fed them and never unlocked bOB, but once I fed my Boom Crystal some Briar hens I unlocked bOB a day after
@@falloutassassin183 Havent collected or fed any briar hens to slimes and got Bob. Just kept a steady stream of breeding chickens to fill a maxxed silo for later when the rest of the game is released. But then I am at day 108 now so dunno if time is a factor.

They should add that slimes and tarrs can go through the portals so you need to set up little defenses to scare away slimes and destroy tarrs

The "Dash pads" That you are looking at aren't actually dash pads. That's where you unlock the map section.
