Just FYI. Hardee’s CEO made $1.00 an hour in 60s. That’s ~ $10.55 today and we get taxed more today. Inflation is real or it’s not. Pick one.

The minimum is the greatest level of success a loser can achieve. Fast food entry level is for high schoolers trying to work part time. If you want more try harder. I worked my bum off studying and working night and day for ten years to get where I’m at today.
    Minimal effort = minimal pay

A lot of us have worked our asses off to get what we have. That doesn't mean it's ok to turn your back on your neighbor. Read the constitution, if you don't like helping others, you're in the wrong country. The constitution explains what America was based on, like it or not

There are a lot of older people that need these jobs to supplement small to no retirement money. Finding jobs when you are older is hard. Age discrimination is real. Also teen agers aren't available to work during the mornings and day shift.

I used to do that too. Ride in the rain and snow the hail was painful, I think I got caught in it twice. In the winter, I could sweat through a winter coat. Lots of hills. I still ride lots, I hate driving, it's a pain in the rear end so I ride whenever I can. Usually ends up being around 1100 miles a year.

Min wage really is about lowering the middle class. Prices rise as min wage rises equally or more because of how supply chains work. This means everything increases and those at the bottom stay just where they are but they have a *bigger* number. But now the middle class who were doing well and getting ahead now suddenly find themselves struggling because they didn't get an equal raise yet prices have now gone up 20, 50, or even 100%. Keep in mind the middle class is the biggest threat to the elite class especially the political elite because the middle class doesn't look at next weeks needs but next decade and further ahead and see that those elite are destroying our future.
The real fix for wage stagnation is a ending illegal immigration with full deportations and a 10 year hold on all legal immigration beyond immediate nuclear family members of citizens. Employers can still then hire at low wages for starter positions but to retain and get skilled and experienced workers employers must compete for workers.

30k salary in the 80s is equivalent to a 120k today ... the fact is wages haven't increased, but businesses have been charging more, and the cost of living has increased. The numbers do not lie. Those against it, should ask themselves would you work for .15 cents an hour? If the answer is"No", then congratulations, you've now learned why wages should be increased

  • @LKshadow21

Listen nobody is talking about how high inflation is. Companies can't keep up with 3% inflation increase. Very little companies are giving a 3% raise. The feds have messed up the economy. They're are talking about wanting to increase unemployment so what are we going to get another round of stimulus? How much money does the government have to be paying people unemployment? Wages haven't really increased in the past 30 years. Entry level jobs are not supposed to be a career job but what about those kids who are working part time trying to pay for college? Rent increase? The housing market is complete trash right now and making it hard for people to make rent. How many young kids are there to fill all those entry level jobs? Let's look at the birthrate right now? There are a lot of variables to look at here.
On another video you looked at how in and out and chick-fil-a are not really taking a hit cause they are already paying high wages? Listen all these other places should of been keeping up with these companies and paying higher wages and bringing better quality food, better work environment and lowering their food cost. I cant tell you how many times I been to a Burger King and it seemed like they just hate their job. I don't feel sorry for these companies at all. They all should be looking for ways to cut cost without having to cut people and cut shifts.

People over 30 working at fast food makes you wonder what are they doing with there life. Definitely not trying to improve there self value.i understand people need work, but if that's the case go do some manufacturing where you get a chance to move up, plus get pay raise and benefits, plus most will pay for you to go to school

I don't disagree with your point but the bigger problem is at the end of the day somebody has to work minimum wage jobs and there aren't enough teenagers to do it.(epscially with the birthrate now) When there's a shortage of labor for those jobs people complain that 'nobody wants to work' but at the same time nobody wants to work those jobs when they have better options.

You want teenagers preparing your food? I sure don't. I want my food prepared by a clean, and responsible adult. I also would rather my taxes not subsidize the cost of living for these adults working for multibillion dollar companies like mcdonalds, so they need to pay more. It's the least they can do, since they've had such a negative impact on everything

McDonalds, in general is a real estate company. That's where they evolved in the 60s. McDonalds Corp owns the land the franchisee has their restaurant on. The Corp gets gets % of sales BEFORE taxes. The franchisee gets the rest.. between taxes, cost of operation...
