What I love about Dave Darlington's presentations is he's a natural communicator and teacher. I can't help learning from him, effortlessly. And his sophisticated, highly experienced yet readily accessible approach is a treasure trove to those ready to learn. It's certainly not the case that you have to do things exactly his way; he's generous with latitude. Many thanks to you Dave, and to Manny and Waves.
I don't want to generalise, but I will! :o) Back in the day, people had time and would think before they spoke. The more gear I have, the less recording I do. Wendy Carlos said "Every new piece of technology saves me minus 10-15% time." When people just had a tape machine and desk, some compressors and reverbs then it was all down to mic technique and playing. He's had decades to consider everything. Today its like some mad competition to master everything before the new technology blows it away and, and - What would Jimi be doing now?
I bought it today, thanks Waves for this creative build EQ and your sales, people are lucky with that!!!! Cheers, Jeroen Simons, Independent/ex- Epica.

He's great. No sensationalism.... just clear and precise demonstration.
Dave Darlington is my favorite Orator of audio engineering.

This is my go to tool as I follow this up with parallel compression
Music from a mid 80s tv series ?
good presentation still
Great explanation of this plugin! Thanks for the vid.
I can't see that this does anything different from the V EQ 4 which I have,,,,or maybe it's not supposed to be different or am I missing something?
Why wouldn't you just use your stock EQ? Does this colour the sound also?
Because this EQ already explicitly fixed the most useful frequencies.
Sounds like melody from 'teenage dirtbag' Lol
pretty much
why did you boost both the kick and bass at the same place?
Probably achieved separation because he cut the low mids differently
Спасибо вам за ваш труд!!!
i love this eq great !!!!
How do you adjust a frequency between 8-10K?
I noticed that too. Between 8-10 k is more useful than 20-25 k. That 20-25 k seems a bit like Spinal Tap's amp that goes to 11.
We have very different definitions of clearly hearing a kick
Lol
Great teacher !! #SALUTE
thank u very2 useful...
I'm just a Teenage Dirtbag, Baby!
