The MIX With The MASTERS Seminar Series is a chance for recording and mixing engineers to come and work closely with A-List record producers, engineers and mixers and improve their skills in music production. The events take place in the outstanding Studio La Fabrique, in the South of France.
At the end of his Weeklong Mixing Seminar in March 2014, Mixer Manny Marroquin took the time to answer a few questions from the MWTM Facebook Page.

I agree I've more than 300 plugin but may be I'm constantly using 20 of them.

Facts, some of the best plugins on the market are the Waves Manny Marroquin plugin set.. That Very, Delay, Compreessor and eq were modeled after the hardware he was referencing .. They sound like top shelf hardware..💯

I love Manny's mixes and he seems like a lovely bloke. Am I the only one who thinks he looks a bit like Jake Gyllenhaal? Best advice is the same from Elmhirst's point of view. Clean low end is achieved by making space for it. That and balance things before you start over-processing for the sake of it. Oh, and get to know your tools. Great advice.

It seems that the c800 - Avalon 737 is what a lot of people used. If not the 1073.
Engineers can never just give a set number when people ask for it, I get why but they could just give a broad approx number

does any one have a good explanation for why mix with the masters is such a sausage fest? even videos of the week long courses seem to be made up of 100% guys only. and also off the top of my head i dont think ive ever heard of a woman ever mixing music for a living. whats the deal?
I only know Sylvia Massy, she's a good engineer and producer i don't know others.
And maybe she's full for the sminars... i don't know...

Pop down to Rak Studios in London. Some incredible female recording and mix engineer talent. I'm sure they'd love to share their knowledge if MWTM will invite them.
