Better to shotgun it than risk losing value on a summon you cant chain to. Fenrir, unicorn, literally any link 1, Kaijus, etc. You miss a draw if you hold it against these very common cards. This isn't the same game as it was 10 years ago and by shotgunning it you guarantee you hit those cards and you will always get value from it.

Ngl swordsoul is probably the most balanced deck out there. It can go first or second. Its not unstoppable. The deck isnt hard to learn so people who dont play it can pick up how it worls in a couple of games. The cards dont have a huge text either. No weird effects like a boss monster that cant be tageted or destoyed. It is a very consistent deck though you can basically always get your combo out and thats what makes it really good. Honestly its the most fun ive had in years playing yugioh.
