I will say this. Not only do I love seeing them dual. But I get to learn so much from seeing them both play. I'm trying to get good at swordsoul so this helped me alot. As well as Dino. I get to see both aspects and just a learning experience. I love this
Only way to get better in yugioh is to lose a bunch of times with your favorite deck. That way, you learn how to play off against other metas. Sam did awesome giving tips and explaining how his deck works.
Two clarifications: (1) in MD there is what's known as a 'Toggle Andy'. This is a person that toggles responses on or off to avoid letting their opponent know they have a response. On PC, you can swap Response Mode by just holding down a mouse button. (2) On targeting with Lost World, you CAN activate something that targets, it just has to target a token. Infinite Impermenance NEEDS to target an Effect Monster, which this Token is not (it's treated as a token, and a special-summoned normal monster), so there is no legal target for Imperm on the field, so it can't activate. You could pop your own token with Baronne de Fleur, for instance.
Dino is one of those decks that takes a VERY good pilot to do well with, due to how many different combo lines it can use. Plus it's extremely expensive for like no reason.
This is the moments i decided to subscribe to Sam. I thought swordsoul is unbeatable (considering i never see Syk lost using swordsoul) but after watching this match showed me how powerful a real pro player is 💪🏻😌💪🏻

I wanted to build the deck Even got three tyrano But all the other cards are URs and SRs So expensive Half a dino deck is just sitting in my deck lists waiting to be completed one day

Its really important that experinced players help newer ones better learn matchups and chokepoints whether its in MD or paper play. Sam setting a great example fo rthe community in this instance

I've been working on completing a Dinosaur themed deck (I was born the same day as the first Jurrasic Park movie released and have always loved Dinosaurs) and am interested in how you added token hunter to add longevity to your combos. Only way to stop the dinos is to cbtg the misc and to dimension shifter them or to go second and use either interrupted kaiju slumber or the old school mirror force, I can't remember if dinos have a spell/trap negate monster other then overtex but if not then there ya go, its weak to spell/traps and dimension shifter
love how you played seriously but also coached a newer player, at least to the meta game, through all of his plays and explained routes for him like "make Chixiao there with Ecclesia and Shthana if your hand can't play around ash" sometimes newer players just see an end board filled with negates and just assume that means that they lose, then think modern Yu-Gi-Oh has gone to crap but there's really just a very high skill ceiling for this game and people have to understand that 1 little misplay can cost you a duel against a good player. When you actually show someone plays they can make in detail for them it can be like seeing that playing the game competitively is not impossible. Hopefully Sykkuno takes your lessons and applies them to how he plays because you coached him really well.
I haven’t played Yu-Gi-Oh since 2006 so I’m not used to all this craziness that the game is now. I’m having trouble with adapting and I’m not sure if I wanna keep playing😂 it takes 10 minutes sometimes just for me to play my first turn the Master duels with how many triggers are in everybody’s decks. Plus with hand traps most of the time I don’t even get to play by the time it’s my turn

i really wanna see this dino decks deck list because my first ever deck I amde on yugioh master duel was a dino deck and i want to improve it because of all the very skilled tearlement players
I run a pure dino list with triple lost world and main deck token collector in it. It works really well and can help with brick hands. Sam may also just be running token collector and not presiding based on match up. I don't think that criticism is fair.
Newer yugioh is very unforgiving and sometimes you feel like there’s only some things you can do and if your opponents have answers to them there’s nothing you can do but this just goes to show you that there are things mainly knowing your opponent decks that can do. In order to counter each situation you need to know what to except and not waste your negates on baits.
I was getting back into Yugioh and at 1st I made a shitty blue eyes deck from when that Sdeck and I found your channel my first vid was watching you build the Dino deck. best far my favorite deck ever took me forever to learn it tho for some reason. took it to a locals and got 2nd Bec I bricked twice the final duel sadly.
I think more decks should be playing control c or whatever that SR is that Locks you from the extra deck unless you use it as material. At the very least it can interrupt their combo plays and force them to use a new combo line, whereas max c might help you draw the out but not every deck can make use of having their whole deck in their hand.

He hasn't even learned Swordsoul properly what good would it be to swap decks. Dino is much more complex than Swordsoul.

I definitely wish I had thought about collector when I was running Dino’s, especially during the SWSO era, would have been pretty clutch
Yeah I've seen sykkuno play yugioh a lot and I thought he was cracked at this game, but Sam is much more skilled in comparison.

To be honest, the most annoying thing about Sword Soul was how consistent it was. like you will never catch them brick their hand.

I recently incorporated the scrap stuff and tbh they add so much more to the deck. Extra ways to destroy baby dinos and link/rank/synchro plays.
