Thank you for the kind words. This mix was not final. It went first into a Warm Audio WA273-EQ 2 to set the level and EQ. Then into a Burl Audio B2 Bomber ADC (this is awsome) then imto the Fusion for polish and finally into the Neve. Thanks again for the kind words.

Great mix sound so powerful just from my iPhone compared to other video mixes.
Is this a final mix ?
And which equipment are you running is it all SSL fusion and bus plus with the portico?

Beautiful setup !!!!!! I have been looking all around RUclips for a setup with a portico and SSl bus plus with fusion how do you use your setup like which are your master and which are for bus and how and utility in all 3 because I’m a bit confused.
I just got myself a RPN Portico master bus myself with a Warm 2a compressor. Just wondering how do you have your connections setup I’m running from my Avid Carbon to Avalon 737 strip how would I connect from here.

Thanks for your kind words. All of my individual analog pieces of hardware go into a patch panel. Then in the DAW (mine is Studio One but you can do the same thing in Pro Tools) I set up each piece of hardware as an insert. In Studio One there's a built-in plugin called pipeline that lets you route out from the DAW through the hardware and then back into the DAW. Approach tools has similar functionality however you need to go out the same input that you come back into. For example output 3 and back into input 3. Just Google how to use inserts in the DAW that you are using. It's a great way to do it because then you can arrange which device you go into and which device comes next in the chain and you can easily move them around.

Nice set up. How would you compare the SSL bus plus to the Rupert Neve master bus compressor? If you had to just pick one, which one would it be? I have the bus plus. What does the need to do that the SSL doesn’t? Thanks

I love my bus plus. I also love my SSL Fusion. The Rupert Neve offers the silk red and blue which are great and the spatial widening functions are the best I have ever heard on any of my hardware. The compression is very hard to describe. It's very gentle and you can turn it much higher than any other compressor I have owned. I really like it however it's expensive.

I would buy it again. It actually sounds fantastic. One of the nicest units they have ever created. Can't beat it for the price.
