Great to hear you’re enjoying it! Just to clarify, I didn’t mix these records. I only use them to demonstrate how the SSL Fusion sounds during mastering.
Nice t see you again on youtube! Can i ask you about the WESaudio compressor? I am about buing the dangerous compressor but also looking to that wesaudio. Why did you choose that one? great video!
Thank you, great being back here for you. I would highly suggest looking at the Wes one. It’s sounding ace and is fully digitally controlled, which if you’re doing a high quantity of work is fantastic. Sound wise I’m sure the Dangerous one will make you very happy. Price wise these two are quite far apart in some regions, as Dangerous is US manufactured.
Nice review , i have one and love it. Two questions : do you know the looptrotter sa2rate 2 ? And also i have a RME ucx interface, i see you have the prism lyra 2 isn t it ? Is it really really better sounding ? Thx 😊
Fantastic! Yes, I know the unit but don't consider it very suitable for mastering. I love the Black Box Analog Design HG-2 for color on the master, among some other routes to go. RME is known for great interfaces, so switching to Prism wouldn't be a night and day difference I expect. Good luck!
Great gear and great track❤
Great work, great mix, great info, thanks - I subscribed .... cheers

im debating between ssl fusion or Neve designs master bus transformer. how should I choose.
Both are great. See what would fit your workflow best!
do they still sell those spl imager?
whats the name of them?
Yes, it’s the SPL Gemini.
@@thismixissick ok thank you
Have you tried LNC mode on the compressor section? Hold the compressor button in for 5 seconds and it becomes a full range signal smasher.
Yes, absolutely. Great little option which I could see working on a drum bus for example.
@@thismixissick Phil Collins and I completely agree with you. Do you think it could be useful at all for processing the entire mix?
12:27 what’s this track?

Great to hear, and welcome!
Nice test ! And the new fusion ?
Good to hear you’re enjoying it! I expect that you mean the SSL bus+?
@@thismixissick Ja die ! :) Sorry
Make sure to check the SSL bus+ video that’s posted a while back here on the channel!
Studio tour please 🙏🏼
Sounds like a great plan!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
What's the brand of the desk?
It's a Zaor Maestro 24! The specific one here is custom made by Zaor. It's in full black, especially for the studio.

Thanks for this brotha!!!
You’re super welcome!
Did you do a comparison between the Ngbus comp and Bettermaker compressor before going for the Ngbus?
No, for bus compression the ngBus seems to be the best choice. That said, I bet the Bettermaker one does a great job too!
@@thismixissick awesome thanks! And do you tend to use the insert (bus comp) Pre eq or normal?
Love using the Violet EQ before compression and other EQ’s after compression, so both.
Thanks for the reply, u rock! @@thismixissick
@@thismixissick Do you btw prefer the vintage drive on or off voor mastering?

Excellent
The Laal ❤
Video coming soon. The LAAL is out of this world.
had Fusion but wasn't a big fan of it but that is just me....cheers
Hard to not love anything about it! Not a fan / user of every of the modules here. The HF compressor is excellent!
SSL Imager is enough tho
Widening section can be great in some cases!
