      Great to hear you’re enjoying it! Just to clarify, I didn’t mix these records. I only use them to demonstrate how the SSL Fusion sounds during mastering.

    Have you tried LNC mode on the compressor section? Hold the compressor button in for 5 seconds and it becomes a full range signal smasher.

    • @thismixissick
      @thismixissick  Год назад

      Yes, absolutely. Great little option which I could see working on a drum bus for example.

    Nice t see you again on youtube! Can i ask you about the WESaudio compressor? I am about buing the dangerous compressor but also looking to that wesaudio. Why did you choose that one? great video!

    • @thismixissick
      @thismixissick  Год назад

      Thank you, great being back here for you. I would highly suggest looking at the Wes one. It’s sounding ace and is fully digitally controlled, which if you’re doing a high quantity of work is fantastic. Sound wise I’m sure the Dangerous one will make you very happy. Price wise these two are quite far apart in some regions, as Dangerous is US manufactured.

    What's the brand of the desk?

    • @thismixissick

      It's a Zaor Maestro 24! The specific one here is custom made by Zaor. It's in full black, especially for the studio.

    Did you do a comparison between the Ngbus comp and Bettermaker compressor before going for the Ngbus?

    • @thismixissick
      @thismixissick  Год назад

      No, for bus compression the ngBus seems to be the best choice. That said, I bet the Bettermaker one does a great job too!

    • @thismixissick

      Love using the Violet EQ before compression and other EQ’s after compression, so both.

    Nice review , i have one and love it. Two questions : do you know the looptrotter sa2rate 2 ? And also i have a RME ucx interface, i see you have the prism lyra 2 isn t it ? Is it really really better sounding ? Thx 😊

    • @thismixissick
      @thismixissick  Год назад +1

      Fantastic! Yes, I know the unit but don't consider it very suitable for mastering. I love the Black Box Analog Design HG-2 for color on the master, among some other routes to go. RME is known for great interfaces, so switching to Prism wouldn't be a night and day difference I expect. Good luck!
