- After several trips into Osceola National Forest with the goal of catching a banded sunfish (Enneacanthus obesus) I always came up empty handed. I knew that there were banded sunfish in the area, but I just didn't know how many trips it would take for me to get my first one. It turns out that number was 8. During my 8th overall fishing session in the forest, I finally caught my first banded sunfish. It just goes to show you that sometimes you can be fishing the right area on the wrong day and come up with nothing through no fault of your own. Anyway, this trip ended up being quite the success with not one, but two banded sunfish coming up on the bank.

Pretty good day!
For sure. All I could've caught was one banded sunfish and I would've been happy. The rest was a nice bonus.
Would October be prime time to visit? I need to make a trip there eventually.
I fished there once in October and still did pretty well. I think that would be a good time.
super interesting nice variety I was super into watching the vid & my girlfriend called me a nerd heheheheheh!!!
She's starting to sound a lot like your ex girlfriend lol jk thanks for watching.
