I swear, it's a miracle Twice members have a good relationship and great chemestry with eachother after sixteen. They had a very competitive environment
The minors training from 9pm to 9M is literally so evil omg, is JYP like okay... Jihyo really trained for so long, I'm proud of where she is now wow - despite the body shaming and mean treatment
I watched this back when i first started to stan Twice back in mid 2018 and a little revisit is interisting. I still very well remember how uncomfortable so many of the Scenes were and how extreme the training and ofcourse that Photographer Lady that Fatshamed Jihyo and then had the audacity to complain when she hid herself in the Photo
Honestly from the practice times, to the weird camera angles and sexualization of the girls, to the fat-shaming Jihyo experienced- the show was messed up af. I'm glad the girls are successful right now, because with all they've been through- they deserved it for sure. Kinda sad Minyoung didn't debut since she was realllyyy talented and kinda went underground after 16 also your confession at the end..... NAYEON IS NEARBY..
As far as I know, Minyoung didn't debut but she has a RUclips channel in which she uploades her content (such as songs written and sung by her, makeup tutorials) The name of the RUclips channel is Myssong ✨
I was excited seeing you doing an episode on this show cause truth be told this is the most I’ve ever seen or heard about this show 👀 the one time I started to watch it (since I was a new Twice fan at the time) I got as far as the intro dance with all the sexualized camera angles and not even halfway through the dance I noped out of there and never looked back it was so uncomfy
Please do episode 2 this was super interesting. I've never watched the whole show, just some clips, but I appreciate your commentary on it. I find it super cruel for the minors to be able to train only during the night- like that's just such bs! How can you do that to punish a bunch of teenagers...
I can’t imagine how Chaeyeon and Chaeryeon feels, my younger sister and I have a bit of a competition with each other for our sports and school competitions, but never at this level! Even to this day, Chaeyeon got to debut with Izone but that is a temporary group, I’ve always hated the idea of temporary groups, it’s so wrong to give them their dreams then just take it away when they are no longer useful! Anyways; Chaeryeon is in Itzy and her sister has to re debut, especially since both girls are incredible dancers I can’t imagine that jealousy! I hope their relationship is still strong and that they are close!
The Natty hate during this time was extreme, I remember watching SIXTEEN when it first came out and Natty got soooo much hate from episode 2 onwards, she was my pick only because she was the only idol around my age at the time. But it was so awful I remember seeing actual adults saying "f*** Natty" and having so much hate for her, a 13 year old girl...it was so weird and sad
It was kinda interesting to me how Jeongyeon was actually popular back then as well. I've watch episodes of sixteen and during the votings every week, I noticed, Jeongyeon topped more in rankings, even more than Nayeon! (Nayeon got more on the final episode tho) Maybe it has to do with her sister being an actress, or the concept she had, she was very unique and have a likeable, unapologetic, chill big sister energy.
it was honestly so cruel to make nayeon and jeongyeon go through the show. minyoung too. u can see when the final results r announced nayeon and jeongyeon r kinda expecting it but SHOCKED when minyoung doesnt make it. obviously the show was cruel in general but nayeon and jeongyeon came from 6mix and kinda were garunteed a debut and still had to go theough this psychological nonsense
It is a riddle to me why J.Y.P PD would want to air a show which made him look so bad. I mean several things he has said during Sixteen made me feel disgusting. Just compare that to the way Bang PD was like during I-land. He was potrayed and edited as not only a generally good person but like he did truly care for every single trainee. His personal image didn't suffer despite that the show was far from perfect. Does J.Y.P PD not have the same kind of business interest?
Honestly have only recently gotten into watching kpop survival shows after being a stan for 15 years because they are so hard to watch. I only heard about Sixteen so instead of watching the entire show this saved me the trouble, thank you! I see now why JYP filmed A2K the way he did. So much better for the girls I think than whatever the heck this was. Still hate young girls debuting tho, their brains literally haven’t developed yet to properly process the trauma of having their lives picked apart on a global scale.
Please make a part two discussing the ridiculousness of adding Tzuyu and Momo to the group AFTER they were eliminated. I enjoyed this video a lot, keep it up!
I thought the photoshoot was to practice their abilities to handle the camera, and not act awkward when they have to take pictures, now what pose to do, look professional, sometimes I feel people are being overreacting with sixteen I watched and thought was normal. except for couple of things. but people are crying for things that in my opinion are the more normal things.
Like your take but can we be honest here? Sixteen was a reality show disguised as a survival show, and all reality shows have one thing in common the outcome is already decided. You have to know that the fix was in when 3 of the girls from 6mix are in the minors, PLEASE. Dahyun has become one of my bias wreakers but she goes to majors and JIHYO goes to minors, see a trend yet. It is my opinion that sixteen was really about the group that JYP himself said would be the group to take on the west (ITZY has to learn english Twice doesn't) and he just wanted to see who was actually ready. Among a lot of JYP's mistakes he found that actually 3 girls that he wanted for this next group were actually ready to debut so he added them which is why we have 9 not 7 members in Twice. Lastly for all of you who claim to hate that members under 16 are aloud to debut how many of you watch le sserafim, new jeans, vcha, babymonster, I'm sure the list goes on all of them had members under 16, vcha had a 13 year old, at debut. I'm old so I like old sayings "evil wins when good people do nothing" if you really mean what you say start the movement to boycott these groups, the companies will listen if it effects there bottom line otherwise you are part of the problem (and no I have never listened to any of the song's from these groups). P.S. thanks for the link to minyoung she should be an idol but she has a new hill to climb not many idols start there career at her age (age again something is wrong with kpop and needs to be fixed)
I believe in the first episode when Mina and jihyo where like the last two i got kinda piss that put jihyo in minor . Since jihyo was a trainee for 10 years and Mina was a trainee for like 1 year . Well I am just say is that jihyo is more skill than Mina im NOT saying that Mina is not talented
honestly its gross how cruel this environment is especially for minors. if this is what goes on camera what happened behind the scenes? also, seeing this and other jype content, it seems like jyp is a pretty bad boss. he makes decisions very quickly without thinking carefully, and his choices have no consistency and explanation.
To be fair variety show skills can be helpful, being a stan attractor is important and even if they can’t sing or dance as well if they can attract new people to the group just for their personality then why the heck not
It's a big move because she was able to show off her personality, when everyone else mostly showed their skills. Personality is very important to an idle because of the interactive aspect like variety shows
The prompt, aka "mission" of that episode was "are you a star?". JYP never said they need to show off their skills(on that specific episode). They just need to show their Star Factor.
guys i'm tired from all the copyright claims this video got and trying to fix it, will make a better thumbnail tomorrow - also stream pop by nayeon
if you don't want to get copyright claims from video. you should really mirror it and add subs so it will be easier :)
@@OrangeVerse thank u 💞
where did you watch sixteen?
I swear, it's a miracle Twice members have a good relationship and great chemestry with eachother after sixteen. They had a very competitive environment
yes i love the chemistry between twice love how they went from strangers to a family 💝
This is the problem with all survival show's groups
The minors training from 9pm to 9M is literally so evil omg, is JYP like okay...
Jihyo really trained for so long, I'm proud of where she is now wow - despite the body shaming and mean treatment
yes jihyo came so far, love her and yes that training thing is so evil
Definitely agree with you on the fact that underaged trainee should not do those types of show
Idols should AT LEAST be 16 years old
yes exactly !!!

i was uncomfy too during that segment...
Tbh they are so powerful to chase their dreams cause ill be out immediately this fucking traumatic
yep same...
their strong bond comes from sharing this traumatic experience together
Sixteen makes Nizi Project look like show of the century 😂 (also I'm gonna be a star is a lowkey bop)
Lol yes 😹

yay thank u for tuning in

it was incredibly scripted but what did we expect anyway??

I just couldn't watch it. Seeing teenage girls and literal children being treated like this on TV is a bit too painful.
i feel you
hey just letting u know that the audio is only on the left!
ooh okay thanks i'll fix that in the future
sana auditioning with cooking is such a joke. like is this a survival show or a some circus
please it's iconic, there's a reason so many nizi contestants tried doing what she did
