    Question, do people who make/sell luxury candles & that has a luxury brand, do they sell at markets?
    I've personally never seen anyone selling a candle for more than $25-30 bucks at a farmers market.
    Would people be turned off at a candle priced at $65?

    Thank you for the video; love the Q&A format. As for the request for suggestions on topics, I'd love to know how to be able to purchase from the manufacturer. Take the jars that I get from Uline for example. The best price that I can get from them works out to about $2.05 per jar + shipping. I know that they get them from less from the manufacturer and I would like to but have no idea of how to go about that or how to even find out who that manufacturer is so that I know who to try to buy them from. Thanks again Wade.

    As for 10 - I decided to use cheap plastic pitchers for each scent and clean them only if there are contaminants (dust, debris etc.). Plastic kitchenware is heat resistant enough to witstand 100°C+. I weight FO into them, add pigment and pour in wax. Only issue may be deterioration due to FO being corrosive, but mine fare good so far. Big drawback is the space they occupy.

    And maybe its easier to work with a supplier within the eu for marketing your wicks? Youwish for example is in netherland, they are the to-go supplier for brambleberry and nurture soap when you life in the EU and they also sell candle supplies. Or maybe candle shack, they also have a distribution in the Eu... TW-30 is great. 130f melt point (roughly) for summer shipping and up to 18% F/O. Note, you do not need 18%, and it may be a waste to load it that much because people may get tired of the scent after 5 hours and toss the wax, so wasted F/O there. Get a foam cutter / soldering iron to score the wax before breaking during the initial melt.

    Question on wax. Testing 464 with a .04 woodwick. First burn test (4hours) went amazing, burn was clean, flame perfect, no soot, even melt pool, great scent throw. My question is after the first burn once the wax has solidified again I’m just now seeing some sink holes around the wick as it’s solidified and cooled, would you consider that a fail for the wax? Would you consider trying a different wax all together? No sink holes were visible after the candle had been poured, only visible after the first burn. Help lol

    Great video! I'm curious which premier wicks you use in your 7oz candles. I've been testing similar sized jars for the last 6 months or so and have finally honed in on premier-735s and premier-740s. The only problem is that I find the 735s to be a bit on the small side (smaller melt pools and potential for tunneling if users don't let them burn long enough) and 740s seem to be slightly on the larger side where there's some potential for the flame to maybe get slightly too large in burn sessions that go over 4 hours.

      I cannot see the brand, but to me, it looks like a Digi Boiler (or similar) electric kettle. They are basically repurposed cider/coffee warmers.
      *Edit* I don't mean to make them sound like they are bad. It is just reused technology in a new field. Many of them have dual heating rings, on the bottom and in the middle of the warmer, so they are great to use for wax. If you get one I recommend the digital display, the temps won't be the same but they are close enough that you can gauge and adjust easier than a turn knob.

    New Question: I may have missed it, but label requirements especially for wax melts/snaps/tarts? I made my own but fear it may not be up to standard.
    I have searched many sites and the premade warning stickers are the same, and give incorrect directions. "Toss when 1/2 in. of wax" is for candles, my melter has like a 1/4-inch pool.

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  Год назад +2

      That's just a a general suggestion. And the throw put when 1/2" is more for candles. For melts it's about about when they lose scent. Replace every gee days for example.
