Beginner here - lots of research done, a bit more to do, have made literally only 2 candles from a 2-candle kit I got for Christmas, AND bought $500+ in supplies & equipment (I think I'm ready to go! lol)! Thank you so much for this video! It's one of THE most informative & helpful geared towards beginners that I've seen!
Hi, I’ve been doing clean for 50 years .but I am tired of it. Now I decide to work with candles . and see how goes. and I’m learning a lot from you. thank you so much .I will start next month . I know I’m going to love doing. God bless you for teaching us. happy new year to you and your family.
Hello, I just came across you. I’m in the research phase of candle making. You are so informative and knowledgeable. I will be checking out a lot more of your videos. Thank you for sharing..
Hey Wade. Love the info as always, just wanted add what I have found. A double boiler will stay hot for a long while, after boiling and removing from heat, placing a lid on the pot to save energy. Wood absorbs oils and will absorb Fragrance Oils when making candles. Use a metal stiring spoon, or butter knife. It made all of the difference in the world for me.
Ty. For clarification. This is not a standard wooden spoon. These are sealed and meant to be used for baking etc and not to absorb. Otherwisez you are 100% right though
A lot of fantastic information so it took me a couple of watches to get it all. 🤪 Thank you for this video, I always get at least (or like this one, a ton) one great piece of info to help me in my candlemaking, or candle business. So much love and gratitude for your help 🙏🏻🖤☺️
My daughter used to do our packaging and labels. When she got married, I inherited the job. I'm not sure how I found Online Labels but I love them!!!! Their templates make things so easy. I am a constant tweaker so this is perfect for me
Welcome to the party! 🤣 we'll, of it makes you feel better.... we all started that way. My advice because there are so many topics to choose from would be to go to my Videos section here on the channel. Or go through the Playlista specifically for c Candle making how to and my tips videos. General education is the best way to get going. Learn about wax, wicks, etc. Also join my FB group as well. The link is in the description above. Once you have a descent foundation it will be easier to dive into more specific topics
I am a beginner, and this video is extremely helpful and informative, as all your videos are. By the way, I am that new candle maker who is obsessed with scents. 😆 lol.
Hi I just found your site, I have been binge watching your channel. I really want to learn and start candle business myself. Would you recommend any books, for a starter? Especially in regards to the measurement eg how much oil to use
I don't really have any advice on books. I can suggest some videos on this channel for example though that should help in the meantime.: ruclips.net/video/-CE0gM3ja98/видео.html ruclips.net/video/FVlsH3N4T3M/видео.html ruclips.net/video/8b8OsGbM5YE/видео.html
Addicted to fragrance oils??? I need a meeting 🤣 once every few months I need my husband to build me another set of shelves. I am running out of wall space. Love your videos, thanks for taking the time to make them for us.
@@BlackTieBarn that answers my question. They’re sold on many sites so I thought they had different values. Be Scented advertises 2 types of wood that you boost together which sounds interesting . I probably didn’t say that well 🙄 Ty for the vid, as always.👏
@@lauriewilson4741 Many are being resold but are from WoodenWickCo. Some, however, are not... and they might be hard to source reliably and also may eventually get targeted for patent infringement. Ive heard thats been happening. who knows
You have a great channel. Check at 2:10 to correct a spelling error. You’re missing the e on ‘software’. And in the video where you add 3+7 for 10 tips, instead of 37 on your b-day, there’s a spelling error, too. And thank you for teaching me how to make candles.
Thanks for pointing those out. I noticed them too afterwards but unfortunately after the video is posted I can't edit it without completely removing and posting a new video. Which would remove the all the comments, views, history, etc.
Is it cheaper for ink to use rollo versus a laser? Thanks for this comprehensive video! I’m getting ready to launch and will try to use your affiliate links 😀
Good morning. On the local news last night I saw I 'local' candle maker (in Texas, local is within a three hour drive) making candles to help with the relief effort in Ukraine. They didn't specify her brand, so I don't know that. In a snippet of a second, she was shown filling her tins with a long handled utensil, which I immediately thought of as a gasoline nozzle. It wasn't that big of course. I had a 'waaaa' moment with that. Have you seen anything like this? I immediately thought of you! Of course this would only be for a large scale production, but I'd like your thoughts as you definitely have a large scale company. The candle maker is from Austin. Have a great day! -TJ

Hi there I’m new to your channel and new to candle making.
Awesome. Hi bella!
Hi Wade I really like the white jars you use. Where do you get them from?
I think they came from Aztec a while back.

Thanks Laurie. Np!
how do you make your labels so shiny?^
thanks
The one you are referring to I think, I designed on a metallic backing
Oh Wade, I didn't know you reviewed beginners sets. I would have checked those out before I bought mine.
Well I've only reviewed a couple so far. :)
I didn’t find that video.. any link?
Good morning ☀️
:)
Thank you so much

What heat gun are you using?
Wagner. But I have a couple different ones
Wade-do you have a favorite wood wick. BTW just got a line on a candle distributor. Detroit based Hive and Honey
Hey Laurie? You mean distributor? I just go to the source at woodenwick since they have the patent

How did you come up with your label design?
Just experimenting and messing around until I liked it. No specific process kr anything
You didn’t include the link for the wick clips.
Yah the company I bought then from originally isn't in business anymore so working on sourcing new ones to recommend. :)
Hi Wade
What laser printer do you use?
I just use an old brother printer but I don't print my own labels mostly. I use labs to print mine
Hi how can I buy the candle making kit. What's the price.
you can find candle making kits at most suppliers. Check out candle science or natures garden for example. There are many others though as well.

Yep! No ink on a Rollo printer. It's thermal. ;)
Where do you get your jars from? Lol
All over. Wherever i can get them. Lol. I start with standard suppliers, candle science, Flaming candle, lonestar, then SkS, fillmore container.
