The magazine you use with your Beowulf is rarely the cause of feed issues. The ammunition you use is critical to the performance of the weapon. The shape of the bullet (projectile) is the significant factor. If you're having feed issues, try using the Hornady XTP in 350 grain. This is not a commercial. Just my use (from reloading) for years of ownership.
Had a problem with ejection found that the ejection Port had a little bit of extra metal on it carefully with a file I filed it down with oil everything works perfectly now if anyone has that problem I suggest trying that probably was during the milling process I'm guessing anyway it works instead of waiting to get it back from the company 😁 have a nice day 😁🇺🇲🇺🇲😁
Hex mags work very well with 50 beo with zero modification. And you can buy 12.7x42 from defender ammo in NC for $1.20 a round and 10 dollars shipping for 400 rd cases
Thanks for the video. I am having problems with my rounds not chambering bc of them lying flat in the mag when being fed. I think this will solve my issues! I was getting so frustrated with my 50 beo. It would feed brass spitzers no pronblem bc of the bullet coming to a point, but nothing else reliably. I'm excited to try this.
I have always liked the wood furniture on AR's. Especially the ones from Turnbull MFG, that 50 of yours is probably already a head turner at the range. Just don't let it turn into a safe queen!
Interesting project. With the overall length of the cartridge being shorter than the length in the magazine, it seems that will a full or mostly full mag, the first round as its being fed into the chamber would push the round below it slightly forward and the that 2nd round would not be all the way to back of the mag any longer and create possible feeding issues? I'm just looking at this from your video and know nothing of Beowulf issues.
You can put the upper on any standard lower, but I don't know about polymer lowers. I got the complete upper and mag for around $695 on sale at Midway USA.
hey checking you video out and I like it, I modded those Pmags and had to do a lot of work but then I got a PreBan GI mag and all I had to do was update the follower. IDK why but in the preban ones the rounds do aim up a little and I never had to worry about rounding a half circle on the mag lip like the pmags. I notice you use a GI mag but its looks like a new one. I bet the old preban ones have a different size and the new GI mags. I just did a dry chambering and ejecting of rounds and all 10 cycled in and out good. yet on those Pmags they would jam without modification and cutting material out. I never tried the new GI mags but looking at how yours was loaded before mod it definitely is different because the rounds look level where mine aims up like yours after the modding. its hard to date how old my mag is but I think its from the 80s or earlier but deff pre 1994 when they did the assault rifle ban.
You're pretty bad-ass to be shooting that with a naked barrel!! I wimped-out and got a pepper pot muzzle break to install on mine. MUCH better recoil management now. You can review my saga here: ruclips.net/video/XhIqM7mP0UU/видео.html Carry On!
they do and sadly I still had to cut material out of my alexander arms mag! not even joking! bullets would hit the mag lip until I took some sizers and whittled the mag lip down to the rounds cartridge tip did not hit and jam!
got snapchat or an email ? i'll send you some pictures of what im doing to my mags , im using green followers , tan followers don't work so great for me
i uploaded a video , i don't think it was necessary to widen them out i think i was trying to have the ability to run 556 again if needed so i filed very minimal

Thanks for the video, actually one of the most informative ones on the change. I just finished mine a week ago.
Followed your instructions and changed the follower with a replacement from Midway. Works good still not willing to put my life on it . Good video
+CHARLIE BROWN Thanks!

Good to hear!
Nice squirrel gun. You grow big badass squirrels over there. They must have horns.
They have their own zip codes, lol.

Happy to be of help. Let us know how it works out!
Got my complete upper Beowulf at Bear Creek Arsenal for $349.00
Sweet deal.
Got my .50 Beowulf complete upper from Bear Creek Arsenal for $213 shipped !
Good informative video buddy. I was wondering if the mags could be modified and now i see whats involved. thanks for the info.
No problem.
have a shit less about Beowulf till now. I think I need that. Thanks for the vid. Keep em coming bro
Hope to have a test-shooting video soon.

As long as I can feed her, she'll be good to go.
merry Christmas bro. Take care
You, too, dawg.
I like the Carrie Handel
Check your front sight block. If there's an F marked on it, it's the same height as the rails on standard uppers. Most of them these days should be.
No "F" present, but thanks for the info!
Just put my upper together I have to order dedicated lower now can't wait to shoot it.
Good to see you again at the Gun and Knife show. How does that UTG rear carry handle sight compare to the version PSA sells?
Construction is solid, but I will have to shoot it for a bit to give a better judgment.
Cool video man. Thanks! 👻
Happy New Year!!

The spring keeps everything in the mag tight, so the rounds don't move much during cycling.
How many ounces is your buffer?
Carbine standard.
@@Mossy500A wow 3 ounce. I have had people tell me 4 even 5 ounces
Crap, I just remembered, it has the A2 buffer system. My apologies.
hey hoping to build my .50 Beowulf soon. is it safe to use standard AR lowers for the build? also how much was the Alexander upper? thanks in advance.

I've never kept track of mag dates. Not sure if removing material from the P-Mags will shorten their life.
Grab a gun has the 458 socom mags that work for Beowulf too for $21.00 each
Crap, that's too high!!
@@Mossy500A yes very expensive.
Let me know if you can find cheaper.
Nice wulf.
+flirty21theoriginal Thanks!

Carry On!
hey your dog tags fit in that slot on your carry handle
So if I'm understanding correctly you're modifying a 5.56 mag for the Beowulf? They don't make mag specifically for it?
There are mags for that round, but they are pricey, Also, I want to see if it can be done.
they do and sadly I still had to cut material out of my alexander arms mag! not even joking! bullets would hit the mag lip until I took some sizers and whittled the mag lip down to the rounds cartridge tip did not hit and jam!
shooting vids needed
Stay tuned.
Nice rifle, can you hunt deer with it?
I believe so.
you can hunt anything on the earth with it. serious.
