However you showing how they work inspired me to buy a set and use them to help fix my car's parcel shelf lug that had snapped off. I've been living with a parcel shelf in the way or jammed for the last few years. No more. Such a simple fix for a very common problem on these cars. 🫡
I used Kitchen and bathroom paint on all the woodwork inside our campervan conversion. We managed to buy grooved ply, looks pretty good - our finish isn't as good as yours as we don't have all the fancy tools..... Hope that UV water filter is better than the one we had to put in the Barn conversion in Yorkshire when we sold it - it hummed and made the water warm and taste pretty weird.
Hello Both, Thanks for the hard work you put in filming and editing on top of the actual building work. You're both naturally talented presenters so entertaining as well as informative. Just looking at the installation of the cartridge filter upstream of the UV lamp. Those things are fairly economic in terms of quality which is fine for a domestic installation but full of water there's close to a kilo weight bouncing up and down on the blue plastic housing which mounts the clear bowl. I wondered how rugged the plastic is and how it will stand up to the corrugated dirt roads you will find on your trip. If it is a bit lightweight, maybe some additional metal bracketry would provide some piece of mind? P.S. I have serious "workshop envy"!
Thanks very much for your kind words it’s much appreciated, your dead right about the filter housing, it was way to bouncy, I’ve done pretty much exactly what you said, I’ve mounted an L bracket off the cabinet support which buts up to the filter housing, put a bit of stick on foam onto the L brackets and secured the bracket to the filter housing, solid as a rock now, thanks for the support 👍
