Thanks you I knew I’d find a video I needed I always say to my son It’s Just Nuts and Bolts I lov the challenger but I also tell him it’s good research not cheating Wish we had this back in 80’s Thanks again
I have two bikes my z1 900 which is a bitch to do the hard gasket and a goldwing that I have not done yet and the Honda golwing looks like a peace of cake to do towards my Kawasaki great video And right to the point thanks you are the man
Coolant resovior on my 1983 gl1100 has drained into the crankcase. Am I looking at replacing head gaskets or do I have block damage? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
You will have to pull the heads and inspect the gaskets. Unless you have seriously over heated the engine, gaskets are the most likely cause. Carefull removing the heads to preserve the gasket so you can inspect them and fi d where it's leaking. Good luck.
I thought you said you didn't rake the rear bolts off the exhaust funny how it just fell off !! Did anyone else here that? Take this guy with a grain of salt!! Reed rhe manual

Does the head gasket say this side out? You said you put the other gasket on backwards?
Criss cross pattern torque , sure
Did you reuse the old head bolts or have to order new ones?
Reused the old ones. New bolts a r e likely hard to get
@@GlennsSpeedShop yes I hadn't found any new ones, but had heard some bolts cant be re torqued. Thank you
When you timed the belts to that "up" position and notch match up, did you have the engine on T-1?

that looks like a lot of work
what's up is that a Honda can't see the bike or the motor what's that
.. check for a bent -sticking valve .. and you hammered the rod bearings .. timing is a mess .. carb sync is a mess .. otherwise ..
Volume is real low on this video
