A good track. Although its advertised as a Tilke track, most of the work was done by Tavo Hellmund and Kevin Schwantz. Tilke just did the buildings and modified a couple of areas.
+Anthony Kernich yeah its def cooler than most of his tracks. Would like to see some of that runoff taken out and replaced with grass, some of it is just unecessary. Like why does the whole entire track have a shoulder?
I don't mean to burst your bubble but for people in Europe it is still a very comfortable time. The race starts att 7, 8 or 9 PM depending on where you live.
+Euan Sass And Australia. Still not as bad as the MotoGP though. I had to wake up at 4 in the morning to see both Motegi AND Philip Island live from the Moto3 onwards.
know what that feels. its a pain in the ass wking up at 7 am on sunday just to see the mercs getting 1-2. now at least I dont have to wake up that early lol
Laguna Seca Road America Road Atlanta Sebring Long Beach But instead, they went in the middle of nowhere , put a rectangle of asphalt of 5 by 3 km and painted the circuit using white paint and kerbs with red, white and blue paint .... Cannot satisfy any real F1 fan

This is far by my favorite circuit. USA is my home country, and I bet USA f1 fans come to see this race. I just wish there were still USA drivers in F1.
I'm hoping NASCAR can come here in a few years. We only have three road course races in the 36 race season, I'm thinking that six more would be good for that sport.
I'm glad that they brought Formula One to the United States, it's about time, LOL! I only wish that they would add the color blue to the curb design to capture the national colors of the USA. But otherwise, a nicely designed race track ;)

(never been there) .. but I like the climb to go around turn 1 and start to diving. But after that, the excess of asphalt on both sides made the S sequence, that could be challenging, look like a Suzuka miniature scale for indoor karts to run in a supermarket parking lot. The opposite straight seems very long and from there, 90º forced curves sound unnatural. Sector 3 looks good again, Curves 13 and 14, remember Sepang South 10, 11 (i like Sepang a lot) and the "polygonal peraltada" looks challenging to close the circuit well.
how many maniacal music lovers can enjoy a good quality concert in that stage area on the left middle portion of a racecourse built for some awesome wicked f1 races?
'Das ist doch keine Rennstrecke, das ist doch mehr ein ortsfestes Fahrzeughindernis', könnte man fast sagen, wobei die zweite Hälfte der Runde dann doch ein wenig interessanter ist.
Always thought that stadium section was weird, would be better if the left hand turn following the back straight led right into the big mutli-point turn.
I'm a Texan and I hate to say it, but the Circuit of the America's is the absolute ugliest course in F1. With none of the beautiful buildings found in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, plus no trees or any real landscaping to talk of, it has the look of an industrial park. And the colored borders make it look cheesy (even though Texas isn't the only course to employ these). In short, we can do better. Much better!
Tyler Roberts Unfortunately, I don't completely disagree. Removing turn 8 and 9 would just create just another straight and I like how the drivers have to bend themselves up the hill with not a whole lot of visibility. The section of sector 3 that you mentioned is a hot mess indeed. I like turn 16-18, with the long turn right with the high speed and gforce. But what can be done is going from turn 13, to 14, and instead of turning right to turn 15, the can bend the track to the left so turn 14 would feed into turn 16, so they go into that turn with more speed.
+Matthew Panini The first corner is the best thing of the whole circuit imo, it's pretty spectacular. in fact, corners 2-10 are pretty spectacular as a whole.
H171001 Not really, they fuck up the flow of the circuit and are (like every shit circuit these days) dull and slow. I miss the high speed banked corners we once had in F1,where did those end up?

Laguna Seca is too small. Road America would be awesome. Road Atlanta is too bumpy. Sebring is too bumpy (I live like 1.5 hours from there so I kinda wish they would give there) Long Beach is awesome too.
GTAGIS i dont know where youre getting this "middle of nowhere" idea from. Indy is in Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana. CoA is in Austin, the capital of Texas. Notice a trend?
@@duncanmcgee13 Well said. This idiot must not know anything to say Austin, Tx is the middle of nowhere. lol. Texas has like 3 of the largest cities in the United States. Austin being up there.

Lol u got eagle eyeea
A good track. Although its advertised as a Tilke track, most of the work was done by Tavo Hellmund and Kevin Schwantz. Tilke just did the buildings and modified a couple of areas.
So basicly where we see a 90 degree corner Tilke touched it lol
Turn 9, the last part of the esses, was actually a lot faster and that was probably the Tilke change. This track is good enough for some corner names.
+Anthony Kernich yeah that seems right
+Anthony Kernich Eh,i still don't like it either way.
Wish F1 would've kept Long Beach,Detroit or even Indianapolis.
+Anthony Kernich yeah its def cooler than most of his tracks. Would like to see some of that runoff taken out and replaced with grass, some of it is just unecessary. Like why does the whole entire track have a shoulder?
I live in the neighborhood next to the track. The noise from Circuit is music to my ears! You can see the track from my moms house.
It would be a GREAT night race!
Bret Coleman he’ll yeah
I agree.
Now people from other countries have to deal with watching the Grand Prix at inconvenient times like us Americans.
I don't mean to burst your bubble but for people in Europe it is still a very comfortable time. The race starts att 7, 8 or 9 PM depending on where you live.
Oh.
+Kevin Clarke like what Obi-Based said, the time is not too bad. The only one that sucks on time is Suzuka
+Euan Sass And Australia.

That circuit is very good to see a race. I'm excited for the weekend!
This was recommended to me on the week of the first ever Nascar race at COTA.
So glad that NASCAR will be there 2021!!
Here for this year's race
Beautiful lap
The hardest track to drive in the sim. You lose the ideal line so fast.
Factss
One of the better Tilke built tracks, still not as good as Turkey though... rain forecast all weekend should hopefully make things interesting!
It is one amazing track this but I dont think Tilke did much of the designing two other guys did the bulk and he did the finishing touches
+pomsforthewin87 Wasn't designed by Tilke,he just fucked it up in some sectors as per usual.

Could change the name to Formula Tilke
At least this is a good Tilke track. (Some say though that Tilke didn’t really have as much of a hand in this one.)

@@skierskater1000 I feel you on that one. it’s a cool section but it’s right after the straight so it kills any potential battles
This circuit is not classic Tilke. It's not a long straight followed by a hairpin. It's a hairpin followed by a long straight!
who else is here before 2021 USGP
F1 should’ve never left Indianapolis. Should’ve just adapted the tires.

how about an f1 event at daytona? just curious
