I think I’ll keep my old model lol great review thank you
No problem! Glad I could help.
Im 180lb 5.8 what size do you think I need?
I'm close to you're size and the XS/M fit's me very well.
@@Paddleheads do you have enough room for winter heavy jackets?
@rodrigoelgu yes - but to a limit. I can’t fit a parka underneath, but I can get a couple heavy layers on underneath it.
Only thing I find the chinook is missing, old and new, is a loop on the back to hang it up to dry. Such a basic thing that most other lifejackets have. Love it otherwise.
Solid point. I also miss having that point to hang it from. The reflective strip on the back shoulder isn’t that easy to hang it with. I frequently miss that while camping.
High floating locates on the back is useless.
Interesting. Personally, I find it helpful for staying afloat and more comfortable with the high back chair that’s on most fishing kayaks. But it’s not for everyone. Check out the Zander for their full-back fishing PFD.
@@Paddleheads Not sure wow it float when it locates at the neck when you on the water.
I won't buy it since I paddle salt water and this has metal zippers on the pockets.
Yep 👍 Makes sense.
I’ve been using my original chinook in saltwater for 8 years. Zero rust on my zippers.
