@@sirspanks69 now that i think about it, hellblade might actually be stronger though i haven't calculated it yet, i would if i knew the formula but i haven't found it anywhere on the internet
I like this build video format. Leading with the entire gene list in one shot and then going through the individual ones in detail makes it easier to follow. It also helps that you even show which monsties give off those genes. Thank you for that 👍
My husband and I just hit 50 and started running thunder eggs with R tickets... I followed your Nergigante build and brought him with us and man did that boi carry us 🤣 I was fotunate enough to get a BR Astalos eggs so you bet I'm following this build for him too! Thanks!
I had the exact same build with the *rainbow gene* and everything before this video even came out. Glad to know I’ve improved my gene-building skills lol.
Really enjoy the layout and explanations, behind each gene slot. A nice bonus beats tracking back and forth to which gene comes from where. Happy Birthday to you Paradise!!
So our best gene farm is R tickets. Use the on the thunder eggs den and loot all dens (4 guaranteed thunder pulls) and you'll always get gold or rainbow pulls which drop the rare genes. Then repeat this process on the type gene youre looking for i.e. I needed ice+ xl, I farmed snowy den and after 6 R tickets I had 3 of those genes. Imo easiest way to farm genes. Good luck! P.s. you can also get SR tickets in the R ticket dens. Edit: also use finding charm
I love this update and Hellblade is legit my fav monstie, can't wait for tomorrow! Would be also cool if you guys organized some tournaments with the people of the community, it could be very cool!!
I think the rainbow gene is great! Thank you for the build I finished it easily since I did my farming ahead of time and conveniently had the genes I assumed you would use! I got really lucky and finished it today after hatching the batch of eggs I farmed of the astalos!
Awesome, I ended up making a build that's almost the exact same, basing it off your Thunderlord! Mine is the same but with Thunderhorn from Kirin instead of Thunderfist and Synchronize XL in the middle because I don't care about PvP at all. The **Rainbow Gene** is good for getting those extra bingos but Synchronize is just too good in PvE content to pass up!
For this build, Thunderfist is better than Lightning Horn. Lightning Horn is not a physical attack so it can't crit. This is a build all about crit so Thunderfist works better with it.
Happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day! Also thank you for all that you do to support the game. My girlfriend and I have really been enjoying this game alongside all the yours and Twosixnine’s videos!
I've been enjoying your videos to see the theory/ideas behind why a build works. I will say though that critical eye from other's testing was stated to be a mere 2.6% crit buff to a 10 stat crit monstie, making it nigh useless compared to the flat 20-30% crit that some attacks gain on their own, but I'll still be using this and messing with the rainbow/ce genes to see what else I can fit in there. Thanks again for all the work you've done here!
Great build! Didn't think that I might need a rainbow for my own build too and yes, I already planning a crit build for my boltreaver astalos, but I'm thinking of sliding in a crit-heal gene into it maybe if possible, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for sharing your build idea!
I love this build, and am definitely gonna use it. I always seem to place my rainbow gene in the middle of most of my monsties... This and the Glavenus build are gonna be a part of my team in endgame.
Happy birthday bro, While Hellblade is the one I am mainly building this was awesome to see and give idea on how to use BoltReaver... RainbowGene ...ftw
Valiant skills power up for two turns is actually two turns for you to use a move at 100% bonus power and then it goes to 30%. It isn't two turns of 100% but using it allows Boltreaver to turn blue anyway so I would take it over Pump Up regardless and it's on colour. Happy rainbow gene Birthday btw.
Azure Voltage on your next atk gives you a buff that is even higher than that of pump up (x2 compared to x1.7), and gives a x1.3 buff for the remaining turns. It also costs much less (15 if you use harmony xl ++) and increases elemental defense as opposed to decreasing it.
Yeah. And if that one attack crits then there realy won't be much left standing after that. Azure Voltage is amazing. Pretty much a must have on any lightning element monstie.
I'm doing very similar builds for my Azure Asta and my HB Glavi. On Asta, I'm putting crit heal and kinship up over a couple other thunder genes. Same with Glavi and its fire genes. And I'm using Kirin's Thunder Horn over Zinogre's Thunder Fist. The amazing synergy is well worth the loss of a couple bingo bonuses imo.
I was planning on trying to make a crit build for Hellblade as well. Can't wait to see what you put out tmr Also... Happy birthday! Also also... Rainbow gene 🧬
amazing but those 3 unique skills will take alot of boltreavers to max out, even more if the initial generated gene doesn't appear in the correct place.
I Use Synchronize XL instead of critical eye XL. in heavy testing Critical eye XL really doesnt do an awful lot ( it does help on the higher crit moves however). I still use the lovely Rainbow Gene and get max thunder bingos and 1 power/1 technical but lose out on the speed. so far it melts and ive easily done Kulve in under 20. While i removed it later i also had vengeful on there and pulled off a 9999 crit with it.
Happy Birthday man. My birthday is next week too. Really liking this Boltreaver build; hits like a truck. Still highly anticipating a Kushala Daora build too. Think I've only seen 1 build video for him on youtube so far.
@@Han-fz6sy After going in deep to try and build Kushala Daora myself, I've come to realize that, it's not that he needs a buff, it's that the devs, mistyped him. As an ice monstie, he's literally just a counterpart to Velkhana. They are almost identical; they just have a couple stats switched around. If they made him a non elemental monstie (which in the main games he's wind, which is categorized as non-elemental), he could've been a lot better as a potential self healing crit tank with all the benefits of all elemental-def up, health up, divine protection, and self heal, while still gaining non-elemental bonuses. Maybe they had too many non-elementals and not enough ice monsties.... idk. But I feel they really did Kushala a disservice as the metal dragon with the iron ball hard head. It's a shame cuz even with a relatively simple design, he's one of my favorite elder dragons.
@@BlackWinds totally agree with you. Well nerv taking the crown as non elemental hard for kushala to come up. Im still waiting for kushala variant other than rusted lol
I was trying to wait to see what build u made and its relatively similar to mine! Although I don't use the *rainbow gene* or crit rate up I do put in thunderlord's aoe and blitz move, alongside kirins speed move. To make up for it I used harmony xl to get a tech bingo with boltreavers techniques!
My build's somewhat similar minus the Critical Kinship, but I slapped All-Out XL +2 to make his attacks nuke hard. And this boi here can crit for HUGE numbers (give or take 1500 with Lightning Blade), once he enters Azure Charge state. Double Kinship? 6 to 7 thousand. Boltreaver is UTTER BROKEN madness. As for moves I'm using: Blue Plasma (because holy sh*t this gravity bomb is a trainwrecker). Lightning Blade (could use Vengeful Thunder, but Lightning Blade makes you just wanna scream EXCALIBUR every time it comes out). Thunderbug Blitz (not sure if I want Plasma Pressure instead) Thunderfist Azure Voltage (no brainer here, this makes Boltreaver just electrocute things into nothing)
Have you guys thought about pairing a monstie with all-out and using a gunlance? Since the only gunlance skill that uses kinship is wyvern fire and I think seal moves, it might make it viable...
Rainbow gene gives a total of 15% more damage over what my build is but it does lose out on an actual buff or attack so idk. This is definitely the best option for being an all rounded attacker but i just said scew it and went for pretty much the same attacks but instead of aoe i have bolt eater and dancer instead of critial kinship. It typically always picks bolt eater so itll heal itself constantly hopefully enough to get full health and deal more damage (unless dancer is permanent idk)
Rainbow gene! Also this is close to the build I was making, although I was thinking of using either the thunder gene that is a medium damage but heals (idk if it's good or not) or using the fulgur anjananth gene. Although I might use this build instead sense it seems to be what I was mostly going for anyways , thanks for the great video!
