This game terrifies me. The thought of doing it without my ship absolutely freezes me up. No way, no how, not gonna happen. La la la, I am just going to blindly use my scout to propel me towards a planet that is being sucked in to a black hole. NO!!!! NOT HAPPENING!!!
I'm not sure exactly why it works, but by entering the stranger, launching the scout, leaving, reentering, and recalling the scout (which you can see me do when I enter through the lab), it puts you in a state where launching the scout loads everything in normally, and recalling the scout makes everything deload, allowing you to pass through walls.
@@ptminsker Apparently the game unloads graphics and collisions if they are not needed. So if you're not in the area it can improve performance by not checking for collisions. It seems that your actions of entering, launching the scout, leaving, ... put the game into a faulty state where it thinks you are not around, thus it deloads everything. However, since the scout also needs to collide with the environment and you want to be able to see high quality pictures, the game also loads stuff around the scout, so even though you are (as far as the game knows) not around, it will still load collisions whenever you fire the scout, which enables you to stand on the ground.
This is an incredible run ! Technically and knowledge wise ! Congrats friend !!

21:11 that's gotta be the worst feeling
How did you manage to go from 20 seconds behind to over 30 seconds ahead in the Lowlands split? Insane skills.
I still, honestly, have no idea what the fuck is going on in this game.
OH MY GOD CALM DOWN
