I appreciate this video a lot! I already broke several pieces on my door, then watched the video. Lol! I literally couldn't do it without videos like this.
Thanks Buddy! The drivers side door handle broke, and I could not figure out how to remove it. Let me try RUclips, and did it in less than five minutes. That's with replacing it with the rear door handle!
Warning, just tried this on the rear door and broke the panel. I dented my front neighbor’s door backing out and found a same-colored one at the junkyard and replaced it. Kept the old one to sell the parts. This one is crank window rear. I pulled panel off but top one-third wouldn’t come off easily. I looked for a video on it and found this one. The arm rest lid he removed by just prying up is NOT to be removed like that on this version. Lid would not fully come off so I forced it off since I didn’t care if it broke. There were two screws but they had nothing to do with keeping the panel attached to the door like the car on the video. Still, great videos. I’ve used others and have purchased from 1A Auto. Edit: One day later and I found that you do take a little lid type cover off but it’s on the underside of the arm rest.
The lock may have gone bad, unless a rod has become bound up on this inside of the door. You take the door panel off and see if they look out of place on the key lock cylinder. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
GREAT VIDEO! One of the few VERY helpful videos out there for a 98 Corolla. I still need help, tho.... My Corolla's DS door is missing parts- can't find them anywhere; the pop-in arm rest pad (gray), the screws behind it, and lastly, that same plastic screw that went flying in this video. eBay & local junk yards don't have em, & it's too hard to list to on-line recycle parts dealers who want to sell me an whole door panel w/o screws. Anyone know where I can get these parts?
Thank you for the video. I was wondering if you sell or know the correct size for those side panel plastic clips? Just purchased this car and it's missing those two clips.
+FrostPlutarc Thanks for watching, but we do not carry those clips. Your best bet is to take one down to the auto parts store and match them up there. They should have them in packets in the aisle! www.1aauto.com
You will have to get from Toy. stealership. Opps!, did I say that! Yes its true. You should have heard the line of crap they heaved at me for a door handle clip. Dude was trying to talk me into anywhere from $150 to 500 to deal with tiny $4 clip problem. I laughed my way out the door. Depending on which location you go to, and the obvious level of BS they dish. You can get them either locally for about 4 and cents each. Your local auto parts won't have them. An online toy dealership in Kansas (Olathe) has detailed pic's of all parts and reasonable to. On small things you will have to talk them down on S&H.

very good instructions easy to follow
Those door panels disintegrate and break so easy. Especially the back ones.
I started tearing mine apart shortly after exclaiming "god damn these door panels are cast from play doh!" And referencing this video
Are you aksing how to attach a new metal door skin to the outside of a damaged door?
Thank you. Clear video instructions.
