Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I'm only moderately handy, and was intimidated about the idea of removing the door panel, but played your video on the front steps with my screwdrivers in hand and the Camry in the driveway, and was able to replace the interior handle for my retired parents and save them the cost of shop labor. I especially appreciated the extra tips: the three Phillips-head screws to remove the window-opener electrical panel (the largest wire harness of ours wouldn't come loose, either) and the tip at 9:30 about the retaining clips possibly staying in the door (two of mine stayed with the door and because of the video, I knew what the problem was and what to do about it). Just extremely thorough and clear and down-to-earth.
great video im putting aftermarket speakers in my door and didnt want to mess the panel up in the process i think ill just unhook the harness from the window controls though lol
Really great video I do have one question though what would be the best bet to do for a driver that doesn't open because the door locks are jammed and I'm trying to replace the entire door what should I do
mane i just did this...took me over 20 hard piss off minutes.... i really hate toyota for this , they made unnecessary things you have to do like instead of those clips they use screws on the bottom of the piece then after you tackle all that they made it where you have to take off the hardness or unscrew it to the bracket so it can fit out the mold it was set in on top of that those harnesses are made to be hard for those who dont understand how it works to come off.... and with the bonus of installing a crappy system that they know you be looking for an upgrade being it is unampfied and the speakers just denigrate like cheese you have to get an adapter to replace the speaker no way to just install aftermarket speakers the holes for the screws will not fit like most cars...... it is worth paying someone to do and no way it can be done in 10 mins ....lot of hassle....;-(
So I had the problem that the driver side window rolls all the way down, it won't come back up. My solution was to KICK THE LIVING FUCK out of the door panel and I found that sweet spot right underneath the control panel. After I kicked it about 6 times as hard as I could the entire control panel came loose and the window magically started working. Nice tutorial though.
You need a camera man. Also, if you want your videos perfect, try to remove the door handle beforehand shooting the video. instead of trying to figure out what is where when filming.

Thanks, helped me get my door panel off so I can hopefully get my pwr window back on track....which I can't figure out yet! Anyone?
Is it necessary to remove the speaker if you want to replace the window motor and regulator as I seen in another video?

All you did was open the door! You didn't show how to change the handle!
awakenu1 he never said he would. he opened the door so you can access the handle, speaker, window, etc.
Get to the f-ing point bud. Side mirror replacement.
