    It's funny....mainstream LDS will disavow the Adam-God statements by Brigham Young; pretending that he didn't really mean the statements and here is a guy who believes it....

    I actually have more respect for the fundamentalists, at least they actually walk the crazy walk of their false prophets, as opposed to the watered down, politically convenient version of the mainstream church. Cracks me up how the LDS proudly say they are the ONE true church and criticize how many Christian denominations there are, meanwhile there are literally HUNDREDS of Mormon sects who claim to be the true church of Joseph Smith and the BoM.

    I love the sincerity of these guys. It's interesting that Mormons in all of the different sects "pray to know if it's true", and God gives them all a different answer. For example, people in the FLDS church pray to know if it's true, and God tells them that the FLDS church is the only true church on earth.
    And people in the Kingston Group pray to know if it's true, and God tells them that the Kingston Group is the only true church on earth.
    And people in the UAB pray to know if it's true, and God tells them that the UAB is the only true church on earth.
    And people in the Temple Lot church pray to know if it's true, and God tells them that the Temple Lot church is the only true church on earth.
    There are over 200 Mormon sects now, and they all sustain Joseph Smith as a prophet, and believe in Book of Mormon, and pray Moroni 10:3-5 and D&C 9:8-9 to know if it's true. But God give them all ANOTHER answer, and says that ANOTHER church is true.
    The Bible NEVER tells you to "pray to know if it's true". You can find NO examples of anyone ever "praying to know if it's true" in the Bible. No one ever prays to know if the Bible is true. It just is. Jesus said "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17). It just is.

    most mormons are kind gentle people.
    They just have 1 wrong turn which is idoletry of self hoping to become a God. Satan is cleaver and tricky to stray people form truth.

    I'm a Mormon as well (LDS), and none of us actually hope to be a God. Although the possibility for it is hinted at in our doctrine, most are unaware of the theological implications. In any case, I don't see how it differs from Biblical belief, considering Paul's musing that we are "heirs of God; joint-heirs with Christ". Why else are we on this planet, if not to grow and progress in the attributes of holiness?

    Man...what a confusing mess of unbiblical doctrine! There is ONE God. There are none like him, none before or after him. Saying that Adam was God is insanity and really goes gainst even what is written in the BoM. I really feel sorry for the LDS and the Fundamentalist Mormons.

    If God was a sinner before becoming a god, then how did he become sinless? Jesus didn't die on the cross prior to creation.

      Ty Manner “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
      ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
      Now, you have to prove if this scripture is true by:
      1 Thessalonians 5:21 "PROVE ALL THINGS; hold fast that which is good."
      only way to do that is to read it and see if it has a divine nature.

    How is it that Aaron can post videos that are 20 hours long, when the rest of the world can only post videos that are 10 minutes?
    God must really be with him.

    IIf it was easier to become perfect here then NO ONE WILL BE PERFECT since we were all born sinners and need JESUS RIGHTEOUSNESS To cover us. You are forgiven as soon as you asked Jesus to forgive you. He has taken your sins. of course we need to rEpeent (change your mind) and believe in Jesus who died for our sins.

    Brigham Young did taught that Adam was god and Eve was one of his wives.

  • @Applest2oApples
    @Applest2oApples 11 лет назад

    Pretty simple, really. We don't need to be redeemed from instances in which we don't sin.
    To enter God's kingdom, we must be without sin. We can't be perfect, but at the same time that doesn't mean we sin continually. For example, lying is a sin. There is no sin in honestly, however - the grace of God needs only to redeem us from our lies, not our honesty.

    Joseph Smith may have seen Satan disguised as an Angel of light since that was his original form Satan once was one of God's highest Angels and Satan can change his appearance to decieve the world even the elect if that were possible

  • @AaronShafovaloff1

    So your Church teaches it, your religious tradition has trumpeted and perpetuated it, and your founding prophet said it was necessary to know, but you're trying to console me by saying you don't think about it very often? Like, "Oh, don't worry, we believe that is true, but we try not to think about it." Huh?

  • @isthechurchtrue

    You brought up some Mormon scripture (in your interviews with Jared and Aaron) to show how Joseph taught an unchangeable God during the early years of the church.
    Moroni 8:18
    Moroni 7:22
    Mosiah 3:5
    D&C 20:17
    (At 21:54) He said that God is unchangeable from the time he became God to the present. That is what it means from all eternity to all eternity. (At 24:14) He said it is just the position that is from all eternity to all eternity.
    Neither of them had a very good response to the question.

  • @isthechurchtrue
    @isthechurchtrue 13 лет назад

    I would have loved to hear his response to God being unchangeable when you combine that belief with the Adam-God doctrine. According to Adam-God, God was once a man and become a God. Then God became the man Adam, ate the forbidden fruit, died, and then became God again. Even after becoming a God he became a man again. God even died again. How is that unchangeable? His response (at 21:54) about God being unchangeable since he obtained Godhood conflicts with the Adam-God doctrine.

  • @KaiGorbahn
    @KaiGorbahn 11 лет назад

    I have. Like I said, the possibility is there, which is very ennobling in my opinion-- to know that God would share his glory with his children. But honestly, the majority of Mormons wouldn't even dream of becoming Gods. We're just trying our best to hold onto the iron rod, yo!

    Since the word grace means a free gift that can’t be earned, why does the Book of Mormon state “for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do” (2 Nephi 25:23)?

    What a quagmire Mormon beliefs are. Quagmire:
    1. an area of miry or boggy ground whose surface yields under the tread;
    2. a situation from which extrication is very difficult:
    3. anything soft or flabby.
    Not really solid ground. Thank you LORD for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible. Please remove the scales from these poor Mormons eyes.
