    For me Lower control arm spherical bearings did contribute some NVH on my Whippled 10R80 stang but it was in my case the key part that eliminated wheel hop out of all the rear suspension mods I had installed.

    I have y’all’s support braces along with the vertical links. Bolt on street car that sees street action(digs). Is there still a considerable amount of bushing deflection and end link movement on less sticky surfaces?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Год назад

      Even if you're on the street, you're still going to see bushing deflection. The clip at 0:15 was filmed on the street in front of our building with stock tires. You also see movement between shifts after the launch.

      @DWH300 Год назад

      Considering your Stang is a 2013. I'm sure it's a nice ride, but unfortunately it's become to old for Steeda to spend R&D money for parts or create a video covering the S197 since most current Mustangs are S550 and the new S650. If your looking for specific suspension parts. Maybe try contacting Steeda direct. Otherwise maybe contact Roush, Ford performance or possibly Shelby. Good luck

      @@DWH300 the R&D is already done. They have parts for Mustangs back to like '79. All I asked for was a video similar to this one to help guys the right pick parts for their chosen Mustang activity. There are far more of us with S197s than there are S650s.

    Are these diff bushing supports good to be set on the front mountings only? It will reduce movement, but not that much. Have you tried this? THX

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  8 месяцев назад +1

      We don't recommend that and I'm not sure why you would only want to install the fronts only. That part doesn't affect your ride quality or add any noise, vibration, or harshness. They are designed to be installed in all 4 subframe mounting locations.

      @@steedaautosports thank you! Which are these recommended more, for auto or manual models?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  8 месяцев назад

      You tend to see more of the movement from a manual, but that's because you can launch those cars harder on the street. But that doesn't mean you won't see and feel the same results in an auto. Because they are a core part in all of our Stop the Hop kits, we recommend them in either application.

      If you feel they are too stiff for you or you spend more time in the turns, then the red are recommended. But you don't have to swap if you're happy with the black bushings.

    Wheel hop is still an issue with the s650 ?!, the notion of the s650 is a new model is a sham, when s197 made changes in 2010 and 2012 it was not a new model is was still a s197

    Ford engineered wheel hop into these cars intentionally and nothing will ever change my mind. You can barely touch the throttle and the car shakes itself to pieces. Its brand new as well bot beat. I have abused every car ive ever owned. I have naver had a wheelhop issue with any of my cars that were in no way designed to be performance vehicles. The only thing i cam think is ford want to keep you from driving the car hard so they make.it.unbearable to beat on. Same with the transmission. I have never driven a car with such a bad transmission.

      The Perf Pack is a great foundation to build upon. Add a few upgrades like the IRS bushing supports and start putting things in the right direction. I personally have liked Steeds components, but there's lots of options on the market. You don't need a lot to perfect the car for the street. I drive rough, back roads every day and have little to complain about. It's a very compliant car without beating you to death. Only issue I had from factory was the hard launches, but that's not an every day need either.

      @@Carlos27thFS right. Your 2012 had solid rear. The IRS in the S550/650 is what makes these need additional parts to eliminate wheel hop. Tires alone won't help on these.
