Devoted: Learning to Live for God's Glory

This year, our churchwide teaching theme calls us to devote our hearts to the only One who is worthy of our worship and praise, to the One who is before all things and in whom all things are held together. The Bible teaches us that we were created to glorify God. Every aspect of our lives, from the big moments to the mundane daily tasks, should be directed to the glory of our Creator and Lord. That is our life purpose! We are called to “take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ” and pursue holiness in every endeavor. This is not a pursuit of perfect performance but a response to the grace we have been shown by the One who is truly holy. Our pursuit of holiness, our devotion to Christlikeness, leads us to love and enjoy Him more.
