i think he just oozed charisma. I remember Priscilla talking about how you could be in a crowd back to when he walked in the room & people could immediately feel his presence in the room without even seeing him first.

I've written about Elvis and know many stories, but the one (of a thousand) I love relates to how Elvis would typically read the paper in the late afternoon when he would get up for breakfast. Or, the Memphis Mafia knew his heart so well, that if they saw something where they thought Elvis would want to help, they brought the information to him. So, Elvis read about this one poor woman who literally, was paralyzed, and had to shuffle on her hands and knees across the floor of her home because she could not afford a wheelchair. Hence, Elvis had them find her address, as she was in Tennessee, and then he went about finding her the best electric wheelchair one could have. Therefore, Elvis, Sonny West and a few others went to her home, knocked and went inside where Elvis picked her up and sat her in the wheelchair and then went about showing her how to use each of the different buttons and Elvis also placed a thousand dollars into her hands. And then, upon leaving, Sonny said, "Elvis, you I don't even think that woman knew who you were." To which Elvis responded, "[i]t doesn't matter, because at least now she knows someone cares."
I don't think that there's any artist in the past and present maybe a million artist had such love and kindness . who thought about people before money . elvis heart was bigger than him

Now, there are those in Elvis’ inner circle that never get any notoriety, but have lots of significant memories and stories which reveal additional sides of Elvis that aren’t well-known, stories like that told in this video. A good example involves Elvis’ first cousin, Billy Smith, who is a few years younger than Elvis. When Elvis and Billy were children, they and their parents made the move from Tupelo, MS to Memphis, TN, in the same vehicle together, with belongings strapped to the roof. Billy was part of the Memphis Mafia, and lived in a double-wide on Graceland property. Billy and his wife Jo played racquetball with Elvis and his girlfriend, in the racquetball building there at Graceland, in the middle of the night of Elvis’ very last night alive. After they stopped playing racquetball, Elvis sat down at the piano he had in his racquetball building, and played and sang the very last songs he ever sang, “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain” and part of “Unchained Melody.” Billy and Jo have a RUclips channel called “Elvis Fans Matter,” where they tell stories of their lives with Elvis and answer viewers’ questions. They tell many stories of Elvis’ heartfelt generosity and love, they tell funny Elvis stories, and they also tell serious Elvis stories. Their memories are exquisitely valuable to anyone interested in the TRUE history of Elvis and what he was like on a human level. They, and especially Billy, knew him better than absolutely anyone, including his ex-wife Priscilla. I have met them, and they are very kind and very precious people. Also, Billy and Jo’s son, Danny Smith, was named Danny by Elvis, who liked that name. Also, for those interested in Elvis history, I would specifically recommend two RUclips channels, “Spa Guy” and “Globetrotting With Trey,” with Billy Stallings and Trey Miller, respectively. The history they have compiled is immense. I have met them, and they both are good people. Finally, there is (I think) “Ashley Historian” or similar. I have not met her, but I love her channel.

We don’t miss one when it comes to Elvis Presley I’d like to make a request I see people making requests and I’m an old lady and I don’t know how to do it so I hope you get this message. Since Lisa passed away on January 12, I’d like you to do a reaction on her song idiot. It’s a great song my granddaughter rocks and rolls to it and I just think it’s great. I think we should remember her such a sad story I still grieve her loss terribly. I also would like to request the song, young and beautiful from the movie jailhouse rock. When I was five years old, that was the first moment, my eyes set on Elvis Presley and because of that song, I’ve been devoted to him all of my life. It’s the moment when he turns to the girl and smiles it was automatic love, and he became my hero my life time, so I hope you get this I don’t know how to link etc. try to do this song idiot first since Lisa Marie just passed I think you guys would think it’s the bomb. There is a teriffic short documentary about Elvis Presley available here in YT ( I don`t know how to do links). It`s called, "Elvis and the Black Community." We`ve all heard about how Elvis was looked upon by the mums and dads of teenagers in America when he first began his career in entertainment. But to actually see footage of what looks otherwise like descent white Americans describing Elvis and the efect he was having on the youth back then can be quite shocking - and is often very amuzing. The fun starts almost from the get-go. But of course those people back then only had the welfare of their children in mind and ergo, I`m not in the blame game. But what he ( Elvis ) became none of them could fortell. There was - to me - Elvis of the First Age, the rock n Roll Rebel against the established norms. There was Elvis in the second Age - the film actor. He wasn`t a great actor by any stretch ( it might have been the roles he was handed ) but none of his films were flops; they all made money. Elvis of the Third Age starts in 1970, with " Elvis That`s The Way It Is." That was Elvis at his best.
