I love the 90s, thanks for doing a cover of the decade, A crazy balance era in my opinion. A era with RB, and some great WR and A era that will later make pass happy league.
Nothing really new for me. Maybe one thing but can't remember early on now what it was. However, very nice to see all this in chronological order in less than 10 hours. Good job with well rounded summaries
man, the Rams ascension, the oilers becoming the titans, john elway and barry sanders retiring, instant replay being reintroduced, The music city miracle, the superbowl coming down to one yard. The 1999 season has to be one of the best NFL seasons ever
I’m a Packers fan and I bet this decade was a time to be alive to watch all of it! I was born in 1998, so I was a kid during Tom Brady’s prime. I started paying attention to the game when I was 8 or 9 and I watched Aaron Rodgers get drafted. But I always hear stories of the 90s, great video!
I’m a Packers fan too but born in 1988. I grew up with Favre as my favorite player. Trust me when I say that Brett Favre had the best arm out of any QB ever. It was unreal watching him play. I’m glad you got to see Aaron Rodgers and be there for the 2010 Super Bowl. Jordan Love will take us back to the Promised Land. Go Pack Go!
I love when videos start like this, with an old commercial to bring you back and put you in that nostalgic mindset. Just found this channel and I'm digging it
I'm thankful to be born during the 1990s (I was born in 1992), and watching this video of the recap of the 90s just brought back the fantastic nostalgia. So, thank you, Chase. I know people are chirping, about you doing the 1980s next but I hope you do the 2000's next, if not I understand. I don't mind the wait.
I can understand the Bills losing to the Cowboys because at that point they’d been to the Super Bowl a few times and were really overmatched at almost every position. But that first 1990 loss to the Giants was BRUTAL.
The Bills had a favorable record against the NFC in the regular season. It's a myth that they were vastly inferior just because they happened to be in the AFC. You gotta look at the performance of key players. The reality is the Bill's best players seemed to just get rattled in the Superbowl, and I think the 1990 loss seemed to inflict PTSD on them, and all the non-stop talk about how the AFC sucked didnt help anyone's confidence either.
Thank for taking the time to make this video. This was great. I really enjoyed it and wow I thought you did a great job with the editing. I would love to see an 80s and 2000s version of this. Maybe even a 2010s.
Thank you so much! A video like this does take a ton of time, but seeing someone appreciate it like this makes my effort feel so validated. This made my day! I will have another one coming out in a few weeks.
99 NFC championship game- The play that inspired what would be known as the “Bert Emmanuel Rule” and lead to a quarter century long debate over what is or isn’t a catch
This was very good but hardly better than NFL Films. Steve Sabol, and NFL Films have documented the history of the league starting from the beginning. Not to mention the epic vocal narration provided by the iconic John Facenda. No comparison.
Thanks for highlighting and showing how dominant the 91' Redskins really were. They really were one of the best teams of all time (if not the best) I feel like that part of NFL history is forgotten or overshadowed because they didn't have any "flashy superstars" They really were dominant. The whole doc is fantastic btw. Well done sir. I've watched the 80's one and now this to convince myself that I wasn't crazy, it really was different back then 😂😂😂
Awesome video man. I been watching NFL heavy since 2008 and watched tons of stuff on NFL history but I learned a lot from this vid! I’d love a 2000s one though, I can name the SB winners but the added info you do with the head coaches, adversity , how other teams did, is where I really could learn a lot from. Another reason I’d prefer 2000s is because the advancement of offense, coaching, nfl in general.
This is great!!! I have a 7 year old son who has been diving head first into the sports world and I'm going to show him this video ASAP! Other decades would be awesome as well, but this is a perfect start because it will help him understand why I (as a Packers fan) still hate the Cowboys today! Thank you for putting this together!!!
GREAT video. As a kid born in 78 and been watching football with an actual understanding of the game since the legendary 86 Bears season, my most rabid fandom was in the 90s. My all time favorite athlete ever is Barry Sanders. I just want to get out some thoughts on this era and again, awesome video, in no particular order: -Terrell Davis was maybe THE example of injury ruining a beyond hall of fame career. He wouldve been more than likely considered the all time best, especially with that offensive line (ps, lol, i love how it's narrated "but Davis couldn't be stopped," at 35:14 while the clip shows him running through a hole so wide that any one of us couldve had the memory of a lifetime with a Super Bowl TD...im not taking away anything from TD obviously, as i just said he wouldve been THE best, but his greatness, at least at the time, went hand in hand with that sick Denver OLine.. - we were robbed of a couple of what I thought would've been all time great super bowls; the chargers inexplicably defeating the #1 defense Steelers, then getting smoked by the 'niners. I'm sure the niners still wouldve won, but the #1 D vs the #1 O, especially those 2 number 1s, wouldve been great. - while the pessimistic nature of myself (more on that later) instantly thought Gary Anderson would indeed miss that kick, i couldn't believe it. That damn kick robbed us of a great Super Bowl, Vikings vs.... - i didn't complete that last point because, it still stings, as a Jets fan, that we didn't make the proper half time adjustments, to hold onto that halftime lead and win. We would've smoked that Falcons team, despite Jamal Anderson and his gigantic, REDWOOD tree trunk legs - the pessimistic comment, is BECAUSE i'm a Jets fan, and im not one of those obnoxious ones that thinks we're going to "WIN" every year. Im astonished every time i think of our futility to land a franchise QB. Our best one was what, 150 years ago with Namath, with a couple of decent ones all the way up until probably our 2nd best QB, Chad Pennington, who never made it to the super bowl. I thought Zack Wilson and Sam Darnold SUCKED, never wanted to draft them. I never wanted Mark Sanchez even, and he went to 2 AFC championships! But what am i to do, since again, if you missed it, im a JETS FAN and draft FLUBS is iconic a part of our "rich" history as Namath's guarantee, the fake spike, and the butt fumble. In fact, besides those 2 load QBs in recent years I mentioned, i can't believe that there isn't more a narrative again quite recently, when despite drafting Sauce, we didn't grab the slipping Tariq Woolen. Despite his lack of a lot of experience at CB, he was THE unicorn CB prospect, much like how DK Metcalf was the unicorn WR and also dropped, both of which is for one reason and one reason only--- over thinking it! THat last point had nothing to do with this video, but I always feel compelled to go off on that "the jets will always suck until they dont'," speech when I state that I'm a Jets fan, as we are home to some of the absolute most delusional and obnoxious fans in all of sports..
This was great. I was born in '86. I was obsessed with football. And the Bulls. Bulls too. Being from Kenosha, WI, I am a Cubs, Packer, Bull and Blackhawk fan.
I support this and hope you continue. I will not support you on Patreon as I do not use Patreon, but for what it's worth, I gave you 48 minutes of my time which I will never get back for as long as I live. If you make more videos like this, I will give you more of my time. Subscribed....fantastic work.
As a Bills fan since 1989 I made it 4:44 into this video. I’ll bet it was pretty good though. I forgot we injured Simms in the regular season thanks for reminding me lol
Good job man. Hope you get enough views and don't burn out so you can do the other decades like you said. Reading about and watching stuff on NFL history, especially the Super Bowl era, I knew all of this but you presented it real well. Wouldn't even mind if you get a bit more self indulgent and spend a bit more time on some of the other big teams, players and games each season besides the two Super Bowl teams. You touched on them here and there and did a good job of streamlining events, which for doing this type of video for the first time was probably smart, but if you're feeling it you could balloon the run time even more to over an hour by going into stuff a bit more. Basically, I liked this so much I wished it was longer. Probably the best compliment.

Awesome video man. This must have taken a lot of time and hard work. Good job. I definitely subscribed.
This was really well done, thank you!
