I was thinking that same thing. I remember the feed tower and how huge of a deal that was. Now, new sheds, new milking parlor, new bale spreader, new Keenan, those cows are so lucky to have you and the Ginger Warrior looking after them.
Your dads so happy you bumped it first and proved him correct 😅…….and that you’ve helped him so much to get the farm to a point it can invest in new kit.
Tom - Your work ethic, business sense and slightly cheeky but ultimately respectful attitude to your father is really awesome. Farmers up and down the land pray for a son or daughter like you to take on the mantle - it is a rare thing to have the stars align, a father who is wise enough to move with the times and listen, son a willing to play 2nd fiddle and be the muscle yet work hand in glove with their father... the amount of times I see relationships falter under the stress of farming.
Buying a new of something you have had that long and used that hard... Speak so well for quality and for the company. Congratulations. And that Ginger Warrior! What a wise and frugal man! You are fortunate to have such a teacher Tom.
Wonderful , men. I can see the pride on 'the Ginger Warrior's' face when he and Tom interact discussing the recent improvements and upgrades to the farm and his animals. You done real good, Tom.
Lovely purchase Tom 👌🏻. Random fact . Your tanco loader, the broughan and smyth trailers that cart your silage, the Keenan are all made in the same area of ireland . Not to mention the malone mower and Mchale blower also being Irish . What a country we are 😂💪🏻 🇮🇪
Tom I love how you have such respect for you father and it shows how it comes back from him to you. You guys are such a team along side your other workers that it is so enjoyable to watch. I grew up on a farm in Hairy Hill, Alberta Canada in the late 70’s and 80’s. I would not trade the experience of growing up on a farm as a young lad. I was taught that if it needed doing, do it or if it needed fixing, fix it or tending, tend it because dad or mom could not always be there to tell you. Your father has instilled in you all those values cause it shows in the pride you put into the farm and the respect you have for your animals. Keep the farm in you and your future family. Happy New Year.
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you every time you have an upgrade and improvement, I can't even imagine how thrilled you are! You are so right. It's the little things that can make such a difference in life.
Very cool Tom. You and your Dad get so excited when you get something new. I'm the same way it's awesome. In any case congratulations it should last you 20 years
Tom, congratulations to yourself and Dad on getting the new Keenan feeder. Good that you’ve chosen another quality Irish brand. I’m sure you’ll get many years of service from it.
Well done Tom and team congrats on the new purchase well ware, sticking with the tried and trusted Keenan, those irish lads know how to make farm machinery😉🇮🇪
My, I bet There alot of guy subscribers that never had the great relationship / communication your father and yourself have. This is one of the things that really keeps me smiling. Drive on Pembertons'.
Made in Ireland. Borris Co. Carlow. They are sold worldwide and are bulletproof! Great buy! Will pay for itself many times over with its reliability! Well ware! And deserved!
I have a Keenan 340 since 2012. Best investment ever by far. We doubled our production with the same herd in the same barn in that timelapse. It's not only apocalypse-proof, it's the best mix you could get by any mixer on the market. Greetings from Québec, Canada
Another great video Tom!!!!!! You work very hard to produce amazing content, and you deserver all the love and support!! You are truly inspiring to everyone, keep the good work up!
Well ware lads, that's a fantastic start to the new year. I'm delighted to see all you've done since I found your channel all those years ago. Keep up the great work, and it's great to see the Irish green Machine on the farm. 😁🇮🇪
Hey Tom in your new parlour I would definitely suggest gates that hinge down behind the cows at the back and gates that open like a field gate that use compressed air rams same principle as hydraulics to open the gates and have bars the full length of the parlour that control the gates so that if you dipping cows from front to back when you get to the back you push the bar and it opens the front gate meaning you don’t have to walk to the front and open the gate which will save time. My friend installed this system and he said it it a lot more efficient than opening gates by hand.
Progressing again Tom and Team !!! Great start to the new year :) love how your progressing and upgrading where needs upgraded and always positive about it . Keep up the great work !
Love your dad's argument against the larger size; giving the cows freshly mixed feed in the morning - oooh, secondary fermentation whilst sitting overnight in a much bigger Keenan - we don't want that ! We all like freshly prepared food, so don't exclude your cows ! Pure magic in the detail.
Great to see hard work paying off new farm investments are not decisions made quick or without a lot of thought. Great to see another Irish machine in the yard the Keenan factory is only about 6 mile away from me I actually did a welding competition there many years ago when I was in the Macra Na Feirme
Well wear on the new purchase. There a inspection plate at the bearing for the feed out augur on the back of the machine. Take it off and leave it off. As sometimes meal will come out and build up around the bearing and damage it
That nice new upgraded Keenan feeder moving around the new and upgraded buildings on newly constructed road surfaces with an upgraded tractor soon to replace the well worked 885. Kind of sums up the driving forward of the business these last few years.
Great to see you upgrading more things on the farm love watching your videos Tom can't wait to see what tractor you have upgraded feed tractor with its awesome wot you have done to farm so far .
Something you use every day use is never too expensive. Its too expensive when it is not able to do what you want to do with it. Well done! Thats the reason we switched to a tub feeder from a Keenan. A Keenan will not cut a mixed ration enough to reduce sorting. It will not feed bales in a hurry. They are built extremely solid and mixing of small batches is awesome in a Keenan. 2+ auger tub feeders will do the job, even small batches but you have to tip your bucket just over the sides. Not in the very middle.
Hi Tom, Happy New Year to you and the family. 🎉 Congratulations on your new Keenan. It was funny you telling use about the dings in the old Keenan, so funny & what a cheeky sheep 🐑 chewing the wires, I thought that was the job for the goats 🐐. I ❤ love your RUclips channel really interesting 🤔 & educational, but mostly SO funny 😆. Sending 🤗 💕. 🥰🇦🇺
I had a new kenaan on the unit that I was manager on, back in 2001. I'd used one previously 2 yrs before that for 11 yrs. Going back to the old Kidd feeder type, belt and front beaters to discharge, with no weighing was a shock for those couple yrs. It was the upgrade model with knives in to chop hay, straw etc. Was a brilliant machine.
Great videos. Love em. I have not been watching for very long, and I am not a farmer. Just love watching the ins and outs of farming life. I also have just bought your book! Hope you get thing things that you wish for the farm this year.
Nothing wrong with new toys for the boys..... 😆 . When somethings good why would you go somewhere else... cracking purchase 👌 . The Nash is going to need a spruce up now though . Stay safe 🏴
Great and sensible upgrade. Always good to see you both in a video. We are coming up to Lytham in a couple of weeks and will pop in to the farm shop. Would be good to meet you if you are free.
Fantastic video love it when you guys film together so alike it’s unreal. Come on Tom put us out of our misery what did you hit what’s the damage classic Tom. Happy New year Happy Farming and Happy Birthday to the Ginger Guy
I left a comment on the Lama video about a new keenen when I seen the ginger guy with a moushtach clutching onto a model of one but wasnt to sure as the months passed by
Gentlemen there's a saying I was told when I started driving HGV's.When reversing and your not sure how much room you gave left behind you Get out and have a look! As for you BOTH bashing the old Keenan well! You both was rubbing your hair under your hats..Looked really funny!😆 A gentle ribbing from one another does no harm but makes great viewing.😆
An old dairy farm girl here from the U.S. Could you do a video on the kind of feed you give your cattle. I have never heard of feeding potatoes to cows. What is the food value of adding them to the feed?
"Father and I" gets me every time😂 so wholesome

Tom you should be extremely proud of what you’ve done to UPGRADE this farm in the last 2 years once again an excellent video
