ONLY YOU - A Celebration of Danny Kirwan. 1950-2018.
Live performance of 'Oh Well'

Barrie Cadogan (Little Barrie) - Guitar
Joe Hollick (Wolf People) - Guitar
Lewis Wharton (Little Barrie) - Bass
Tony Coote (PP Arnold) - Drums
Perhaps, one of the most under-rated guitar players in history, Danny Kirwan played a vital role in the early Fleetwood Mac line up between 1968 & 1972. Often cast in Peter Green's shadow, Danny's playing was every bit as emotive as his guitar duelling partner but his time in the band was short lived.
After Danny's untimely passing in 2018, Barrie Cadogan, Joe Hollick, Lewis Wharton, Tony Coote & Jim Jones paid tribute to the late guitarist with a very special one off show at The Blues Kitchen in Camden.

it's the blues revival, revival...great tribute to Danny Kirwan.
Top work paying tribute to Danny🙂👍♥️ nice one Jim♥️👍👍🙂
I could watch this on repeat for hours. This is my favourite Peter Green track, I love Kirwan and the Green & Kirwan era of The Mac - and no one can play guitar like Barrie Cadogan! Rest in peace, Danny & keep on playing, Barrie: Two of the most brilliant guitar players and song writers in the UK.
Great, great, great cover... and great again!
Classic timeless stuff 👍
Peter + Danny saluted with love, respect and skill by true disciples and my long term fav Jim on vocals🙂👍🙂♥️🙂👍 Let's all raise Danny's profile and stock, it could do his son some good; Bare Trees sold over a million long ago and Danny wrote the bulk of it, must be some money due to his kin; cough up Mick!
Is Barrie Cadogan playing the "Dutchburst" Les Paul?
Turgut Kartal, he's playing the custom shop reissue "Dutchburst". You've got good eyes, it's hard to tell in that light and since Kirwan and Green played 1959 LP's, It took me a while to find out which guitar Barrie was playing here. I was looking for a 1959 model instead of one from 1960. Sadly, I'm afraid you can't just take an original out for a gig or even own one if you're not extremely wealthy or lucky, and no one deserves to play an original more than Barrie! Back in the day "kids" like Green and Kirwan bought them because they were affordable.
@@shireenvandenberg2773 they were not affordable in the 60s. they were expensive even then. obviously a lot less than now but never "affordable"
Jesus, I wish I could play like this. Danny was an old friend and since his passing I’ve been learning a couple of his songs (“Dust”& “Second Chapter” so far, I’m a bit slow). I’m very basic in my playing but I’m learning a lot from how Danny put chords together. It’ll help me write better songs. If I get brave enough I’m gonna learn some lead this year. I missed this gig but hopefully I’ll make next year’s. Cheers. Rest In Peace Danny. See ya later.
Here was my tribute to Danny last year:

Why not include Part 2? Much more soulful than this noisy part
Its a tribute to Danny Kirwan. Part 2 was mostly Peter's guitar playing
