    Hello , we are a 68 and 70 year old couple who wants to thank you so much for taking the time to make this most helpful video.... we have had our Maytag Commercial Washer Model #MVWB765FWO for abt 4 years bought in 2017...we were having the very same problem as you were , so first thing we came to RUclips to see if anyone had any videos about our model washer to see if anyone else had the same problem and what they did. We found your video and though a different model # the washers were very similar...so we sat down and watched everything you did oh, gosh it was so easy to follow along ....our top was a little bit harder because the spring you were supposed to push on with the table knife was way far back....we finally got it though. we bought and downloaded the service manual ....and you demonstrating the getting it into service mode and out of the mode to test was so helpful.....so we ordered our part and it got here really fast...we watched the video again (we're old):) before we started , then started in today.... Oh man it's all fixed and washing a load as I type.... the hot water was what was broken on ours....whew ! We know if it had not been for this video, we could not have fixed it ourselves and it would have cost us a lot of money to call a repairman....then we would have had to wait till he had an opening ,while my dirty clothes pilled up ,till we had to go to a laundry mat...Then sometimes they have to order the part. Thank you for thinking to, and taking the time to put this video on here.... It Helped us so much . A Grandpa and Grandma in Kentucky

      Hi Susie---I am having problems with my washer filling extremely slowly. So, like you I started looking on youtube. My washer is exactly like yours I think---just a number or letter difference #MVWB865GW0.
      I am on the website where he found his manual and am trying to find the one specifically for my machine. You mentioned you purchased a service manual. Did you find the exact one for your machine or just use the one he purchased? Thanks a million for your response to this if you have time. Jesus bless.

    I just used this video to save lots of $$$ in repair bills. After getting the LF shut down in the middle of the wash cycle, I went looking for answers. The video is AWESOME. I installed the new water valve yesterday and this crappy washing machine is back in action for $30 from Amazon.

    Thanks for the super useful diagnostics info! I have almost the same model and am already having one or more issues. It had some intermittent leaking down the back below the water valve body. Then is started taking about an hour to fill up. I replaced the water valve yesterday, finally. It did one successful load all the way through. Next load, buzzing from the water valve area, and stopping the cycle with 30 minutes left. Did a drain and spin to take the clothes out. That worked. Fast forward to today - I found this video and ran the tests. I actually started running all of them, and once I reached test no. 50 or 51, it goes through ALL of the water valves, all of the motor tests and drain tests. Pretty cool! Just a tip to pass along. All of the tests passed, btw. Then, I ran a test load, and the soap tray was out. Also, not many clothes. It made it all the way through fine! My wife tried a legit load after that, and it errored out midway again, this time throwing an "LF" code on the lcd. That code in itself is another can of worms. Did we all get so unlucky on this particular maytag or is quality dropping in general?

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Год назад +1

      Howdy! Given this is going to be the highest viewed video in the shortest time period on my channel, I believe we are seeing a reduction in quality based on building stuff to a profit point. The cheap chinesium valves are just one example of the lowest bidder getting the contract. Unfortunately, in today's market, the only way to keep making money is to have repeat customers. The old Bored Maytag Repairman schtick is not at all profitable these days. Thanks!

    Hi there!
    I just wanted to say thank you. My Maytag bravo XL was also giving me the the same LF error. At one point, I was considering throwing away my washer and purchasing a new one until I found your video. I went on Amazon and found the water inlet valve piece and I made sure that it was compatible with my Maytag. I ordered it and Hallelujah the piece came in the mail… I showed my brother your video and he was able to successfully install the device. As soon as he confirmed the piece was switched .. I tested the washer and it now works properly. Before the flow of cold water was very low and it would cause my washer to shut down. I just want to say thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Coming from a single mom of 3, I greatly appreciate you and my brother (since he completed the physical labor for free lol). God bless you.

      I've not seen that specifically except when it developed the LF fault and stopped. But I don't think it shut off when it did that. I don't add items too often, so if that is confusing the unit, I haven't tested that sequence often. Thanks!

      That is insane, and why all the jobs are moving overseas.
      Any educated dedicated service person could diagnose the problem in 5 minutes, replace in 10 minutes. The biggest time suck is the round trip to the house, which might be 2 trips if they don't have the part. Assuming that you live in the city, 8x minimum wage is $64 per hour with a maximum time of 2 hours. $150 max labor and $60 for the part, at a 2x markup to cover tools, vehicle wear, gas, misc.
      Any business should be able to cover overhead, marketing, book keeping, maintenance, downtime, scheduling conflicts, and skilled labor at 8 times minimum wage.

    Just an FYI, the tech manual is located in the machine itself and includes all the test modes and procedures. Mine was located on the inside of the upper left hand corner. Lift the lid and look inside.

    Thanks for the video. Have you tried switching the hot water valve wires to the oxy valve for a temporary fix? Prime is getting loose on 2 day delivery promises.

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I did consider that but the wires would not reach. I thought about adding a jumper, but figured it would be annoying. So I just used cold water wash for a while until the new valve arrived.

      My cold water main solenoid was the problem so I switched the wires because I don’t ever use the oxy or softener functions and it works just fine thanks for the video it helped

      I would like to know why a solenoid valve stops working. I checked the resistance on all 4 solenoids and they were all about 1k ohms. My water quality is excellent so that's not a problem. What is that other wire connection at the bottom of the manifold? I'll have to call tech support. I don't want this to be a recurring issue but there's probably nothing you can do about it. Foreign junk!

      @@bradvincet1848 Best guess, is that the plunger that the coil moves when it is energized got something behind it or in the track it rides in. Thinking about it, I should've torn mine apart to see why it stuck. When mine fails again, I'll cut it open and see what happened. Thanks!

    • @acerwin1
      @acerwin1 3 года назад +1

      I would like to know that as well since this is the second time it has happened to me. I thought about opening the first one but just got to busy with other things. I am going to order another another part to replace this one very soon. I will cut it open and respond with what my findings are.

    For those struggling to get the connectors off, I took a tiny flathead and put it on the top of the connector where it looks like a white "T" and tapped on the end of the screwdriver. Only thing that worked to get those off. Wiggling wasn't cutting it.

    That fixed it! There was a lot of corrosion on the bottom wire, which was probably the whole problem.
