The candles 5 flames are the 5 main characters Rachel,Eric,Jason,Nick and Salim and signified there status as alive or dead if there lit there alive and unlit dead
@@kimgizmo82oneill82 yeah, that's what i thought. but i was asking why ellum & clare thought only two characters were the only ones alive when all five of the candles were still lit (meaning the other characters are still alive, right?).

You could have saved rachal if you used the minnie gun and left clarice at the rope and help rachal with salim or if she gets infected dont let her kill herself but this relies on leaving clarice at the rope.
