Hi Clare, I have watched someone play this so here are some tips:
The butterfly’s that spread around the screen are not the things with colour that you should be looking out for it is actually the colours of the totems that show guidance, death, danger etc. The butterfly’s that spread around the screen are always white they are just there to show that you have made a choice that will effect the story. I love your vids❤️

I was just thinking about this game since I recently finished Man Of Medan which is very similar. I like how every time I watch someone else play these kinds of games it’s always slightly different, I’m excited to see Clare’s version of this play through!

I like Cake and Frosting oh i liked chris too but i mean ashley can watch him die instead of saving him, emily and jess are pretty mean, mikes okay i guess and so is matt and i saved all the boys but josh obviously. sure the other characters are okay but i only really wanted to save sam
Emily is the only one I never wanted to save. Some of the characters were meh, but the character development helped with everyone. I hated mike so much, it surprised me when I started to like him. But my girl Sam was definitely my favorite. I’m happy I was able to save everyone.
My boyfriend doesn't really get scared so he watched this with me, and everytime I screamed he laughed at me. I dont understand how he doesn't get scared

I will remind/advise you to pay attention to clues and totems. They play such a big part in the game/story/keeping people alive. Have fun and I'm so happy that you're playing this game.

This game's characters are really interesting. At the beginning I really liked Sam and disliked everyone else. Then at the end Mike was my favorite, and Ashley my least favorite. Sam ended up being a very meh character for me.

Same, except I ended up hating Emily and liking Mike. I saw no redeeming qualities throughout the entire game with her. All the other characters had shown some remorse or guilt. (Or at least most of them- I can’t completely remember)

hey Clare!!! here are some things that might help out next time you play!!!
1) totems have a colourful rim around the black hole. depending on the colour of the rim is what the totem will show you (black= death, yellow= guidance) totems show you little snip bits of how your decisions will affect your game!!!
2) clues are SUPER important! the more clues you find the easier it is to figure out what happened. it makes the game a lot easier to play and understand!

Some lore about wendigos: they're a aboriginal mythological creature or spirit from Canada and the northern us, they are said to be people who have either given in to greed (therefore transforming into a monster) or people who have resorted to cannibalism in a time of famine. Wendigos are commonly associated with famine, cold, the woods and the North. Wendigos are monsters of greed, they hunt and kill people to eat, but since their body grows in proportion with everything they just ate, they are never full. Some fun facts about them are that (supposedly) wendigos only attack those lost in the woods, if you know your way exactly, they won't attack you. Wendigos also have an incredible scence of hearing, they can hear a heartbeat miles away, and if they do hear a heartbeat, they won't stop tracking it untill they have caught it. They can do so by using numerous tactics like making their footsteps sound louder the farther away you go, drawing you to them. They can also produce the voice of a loved one, again, drawing you to them.

Clare Please continue with this series it's one of my favorite games. Just FYI these characters are supposed to be stereotypical high schoolers who just transitioned into college. Don't be too harsh on them, I love Sam Chris and Josh because they were the only three still alive who didn't play the terrible prank on Hannah. Even if Josh is crude.

I've seen other playthroughs, but the others edited them way down and I can tell after watching yours that I missed a ton. I'll definitely watch the rest if you keep playing. There are so many different choices even if you know the gist of the story you can't get all of it with one playthrough/viewing. Looking forward to more though it really scares me hahaha

tbh I like all the characters, they have flaws and talents and every character has depth. The act immature because they are, and the humour is just a little exaggerated. I know they seem to be at eachothers throats but this is not only after a traumatic event but what's likely a year of distance.
I just feel like they've been judged abit harshly. The game is really good at making them likable as you play as them more.

Mike is my favourite character. He starts off a jerk but changes (for the better) throughout the story. Also Clare make sure you search EVERYWHERE for clues. They help a lot, later in the game.
