Hi. I've been a paraplegic since i was 18 back in 97' from a crash. I've always said that mental fortitude is so key in this life. Proud to see this dude with the attitude he has right out of the gate. Keep warrior strong man. There is life after SCI.
I was paralyzed in a sledding accident December of 2014 at the age of 19. I attended Craig in 2015 and unfortunately I’m still wheelchair bound but am a stay at home mom of two and married my high school sweetheart! Life it what you’re make it! ❤
My great breaks for you Ethan. I’m hoping and praying for a miracle for you to be able to walk again. My son just started playing high school football and I am so scared of him getting hurt, or any of the kids. It scares me so much I hate watching any kid get hurt.
PLEASEEE PLEASEEE STOP THIS BRUTAL CALLED GAME FOOTBALL THIS IS SO BAD MY SON WANT TO PLAY THIS AND I SHOWED ALL THE VIDEOS LIKE THAT … HE CHANGE HIS MIND HE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT IT !!! AND HOPE ALL THE KIDS AROUND THE WORLD 🌎 LEARN THIS IS NOT A GAME THIS IS CALLED GO TO THE DEATH !! 🙏🏻
You are one strong kid. Things will get better for you. There is so much medical advancement in spinal cord damage and will for years to come that who knows you may walk one day. Keep your positive attitude and never give up mantra. 🙏💪
Good on him. I would like to point out, someone in his situation has every right to feel angry, depressed, discourag3d, etc, and that's perfectly OK if they do. In fact, for most people, they will at some stage go through those emotions, and that's normal.
no matter how brave he is, no matter what kind of positive outlook he has, he is paralyzed ad always will be. I hate it. Society must wake up to the dangers of football, motorcycles, skateboards, mixed martial arts, etc.,
Living is dangerous and none of us make it out alive in the end. If in order to continue to exist I must shut myself off from the world and deprive myself of all the joys that give me humanity then I think I'd rather die.
there is a wide expanse of options between living under a rock and living recklessly. people must choose wisely. living recklessly can force one to live under a rock or in a wheelchair @@timothykohout9503
Poor kid. I believe this has everything to do with football. I would not like my kid participate in any sport that could cause such a severe injury. I told my 13 year old no to boxing and football years ago:
@@fartholemechanic9252 yes, when he is of age. He’s only 13. In NY kids tend to drive later because we have so much buses and trains around us. It doesn’t even feel like a necessity.
not blame football? But if it was from a drunk driver, we could blame that. Maybe there can be a neck guard that can be built to prevent this. to not blame football is to ignore the problem and ignoring the problem means not fixing what might go bad next time.
NO, we control our own destiny, with the choices we make, including our mistakes. Where is your evidence that out destiny is actually not in our control? What do you think controls us?
@@yuriburkel686 analogy is not really fitting in. You supposed to drive by following rules. In a competitive contact support, one can bend the rules intentionally or unintentionally. Plus the immediate danger to your body in a car is far less but in this brutal sport, you are constantly in contact with tackling force on the field
JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU AND DIED FOR ALL. In John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Ethan’s attitude is amazing. I could not muster that positivity given the situation. I wish him the best in the future.
Mother said "He was always going to do great things. He is just going to have to do them differently." Great parents. He is lucky to have them.
I’m a paraplegic of 38 years. It’s a tough gig. My heart goes out to the boy.
I can only imagine how tough it must be. All the best, wishing you a happy Xmas and New Year🎄

A truly strong kid the sport may have broke him physically but his soul his spirit his attitude his mental strength he preserved . A champion of life
God bless you and bring you healing.
Amazing kid!
Foolish. It had everything to do with football. Denial is not healthy for this family or the future ball players that this will happen to.
It’s the risk you take playing a contact sport like football. They knew what they signed up for.

Please give us an update. How is Ethan doing now?
i would go into a deep depression if i end up like him
Wishing him a successful recovery. What actually caused it?
He got injured during a tackle in a football match.

I can complain enough for the both of us Ethan.
How is Ethan doing today? Well I hope.
What? No hes not the same person
Interesting how no one blames the obvious problem, which is the ridiculous sport called football.
Would love to talk to u
Uh oh! It’s hard to walk and hard to run in a football game.

this so called sport should be banned
How about banning cars 🚘
Most of these kids volunteer to sign up for this
dont feel bad for Americans they are mostly brain damaged
American football shouldn’t be allowed at high schools.
