I'm a Mustang guy, but this looks better because it's the ONLY one that hearkens to the original--this is a beautifully muscled car!

I think they’re both really good in different ways. Overall the Mustang is simply superior in every performance metric, but the Challenger has style and comfort.

Im a Mustang guy but not a fan of the s550, not because its not a good car but because the mix of old school challenger and new school mix for a freaking bad ass unit!!! The Challenger is absolutely beautiful!!!
My mom traded in her 2018 dodge challenger v6 octane red, for a 2019 dodge challenger scat pack 392 shaker octane red yesterday.

Yeah same I used to be a Mustang fan but when I laid eyes on the Challenger I fell in love with it and ditched the Mustang. I still like Ford for the most part though.

White base RT owner, and I wish I got that Maroon. It looks sooooo fucking good. Plan on bumping up to the 1320 Scat Pack soon so hopefully I can find that color.
You will love the Scat Pack. It's a great Muscle Car but also a great daily driver.

I just realized that the rt ta and shaker all have a 5.7 v8 and then they all have a plus and 392 option so awesome that dodge lets ppl that cant afford or dont want a 392 engine have a great performaning and good looking beast no matter the price
On their website the only have the R/T (5.7L Hemi), R/T Scat Pack (392 Hemi), SRT Hellcat (6.2L Hellcat Hemi) and SRT Hellcat Redeye (6.2L HO Hellcat Hemi). I do not know why they took away the shaker models, TA and their 392 versions

Octane Red is a awesome color on the Challenger

All I can say is, you must be used to shitty stereos, the bass on the alpine system was lacking quite a bit. If I could turn back time, I would definitely not get the Alpine again.
i agree , i had the horrid alpine in my 2014 300c awd 5.7 jvl . every person who has this system knows its crap . had an amp upgrade n Harmon Kardon speakers and other components installed . now it sounds great.
How does the Harman kardon sound system conpare

I thought about a new JL but got a JK at the end of its production run. Glad I went with the JK as the JLs are just becoming too "nice" for my liking.

Good review! The infotainment system is easy to navigate and the Hemi monster engine can easily sprint!
My dad used to have a Dodge Challenger he had 2 the 2013 and a 2016 he loved them before he passed away I am getting a Challenger for my first car in a year for him

I can't stand how basic they look from factory both under the hood and all around. However, the modding process is the most fun. SOOO it's a love/hate feeling. :)

I really enjoyed your video Drew. I love the way they keep same styling through these years I think you can tell the difference between one from others are the body colors hoodies badges wheels and shapes of spoilers, etc. if I could get one I would love to get the Widebody Hellkitty with manual. Maybe auto because it just would make my life a lot easier and it drives faster. Thanks for sharing I cannot wait for more outtakes on next video. Keep staying gold dude!

Have a Mustang GT and have been looking at the Challenger as a second car and the more I see it the more I am willing to put the hand in the pocket to spend the coin.

I like the classic muscle car styling of the challenger. I do wish that Dodge would freshen it up a bit though. Just my opinion.

If they jack around with the design too much.... they might lose potential customers. The Challenger is a "constant" in an ever changing world of roller skate bubble cars that all have changed only to look like each other. Leave the design alone for the most part.... and the people will come. Maybe an upcoming change will be subtle.... something like changing the front and
back to pay homage to the '72-'74 Challengers.....
@@peembarnjelly6863 Yea I thin if they leave the body mostly alone keeping the big muscle car box shape and just find a way to make a lighter and better frame and bring a Ram quality interior they would be good.
Maybe tweak the motor design to be more efficient.

and no more "SRT 392" Trim....GAWD DAMNBLIT!!!!! WHAT THE HELL DODGE?!?!?!....so now I need to get a used model... because of the Sepia Laguna leather. And wrong Tremec, that one is the TR6060. the one int he Shelby is the TR3160

Why are they so cheap?? I still see 2017 scat packs for $38k and up... so the 2019 starts at $38k
Exact thing I just said, bout to trade in my RT for a scatpack or Hellcat but 2017 is 36k

I know it’s a subjective question, but if love to know which car you may slightly prefer. I live both your mustang and the scat pack and obviously each has their own advantages and disadvantages. If you hang out with a gang of midgets.... get the Mustang or Camaro. Otherwise, the Challenger will accommodate four normal size people.

How's the cost of ownership if you drive it somewhat normal for the daily commute?
@@drivecfl I've had mine since April. So I haven't really had that much come up as far as cost. I'm just coming up on my first oil change. Oil life in this car should last closer to 5000 miles the first time around. And probably between 3 and 4000 after that. I go to work and home for the most part and a full tank of gas lasts me for a full work week. If you're going places in between or the drive is a little far a full tank might last you 3 maybe 4 days. 93 octane is best for this car. But you can get away with 89. It costs me between 60 and 55 dollars to fill up my tank in Savannah. And I make a conscious effort to stay on the highways as much as I can. Idk how much it would be where you live. You're probably going to go thru tires racing and burning out or whatever. These 245's wont last on this car doing that often. They run between $210 to $225 a tire plus service fees. Haven't changed my brakes yet. No squeaking. But I try to take it easy on my car. You can look up the cost to replace brembo brakes online. Hope this helps and gives you an idea of the costs.

Because there is a new hellcat hood, they decided to move this one to the lower trims.

T U Well from what he said he said the base price and it was it 1000 for this it 2000 for that I’m thinking it’s going to really get up there are used to have a hellcat what one of the first ones ever made and I think that set me back about 55,000 now the new ones go for 70
White Knight, you can buy that $38k 2019 Manual Scat Pack for around $36.8k if you take advantage of the year end Dodge Rebates, & if you keep it base with only adding the Technology package, you can walk out of the dealership with paying around $43k.. if you want the Dynamics Packed (the Hellcat Brakes, & Wheels) then add $2,500 to that price..
If I’m you, I would order the 2019 1320 Scat Pack. All in you should be able to buy it for around $48k..
USE THE YEAR END REBATES!! it will save you around $2k in the overall price of any new FCA vehicle

The Challenger is a Nice car, but when I see one pass by. Unless I see current badging, it's hard to tell if it's a 2008 or a 2019 with a redesign not due until 2021. FCA bean counters figures why put money into redevelopment R&D and change the design as long as it's continues to sell, make money and who knows where the coup and sedans sales will be as SUV's take over that market share. I still see the Challenger as a Pony or muscle car where the Mustang has become a totally new car moving from the aforementioned to a Sports car. Regarding the rear seat in the Mustang. If you require a useable back seat, the Mustang is not the vehicle to buy. Another reason the Challenger continues to sell. One amazing note is the gas gussler tax. Hard to believe just a few years ago, the EPA ratings which I feel were realistically unobtainable were headlines, thus car manufacturers were not reporting true EPA ratings and lieing about emissions. But a gas gussler tax on a mass production 2019 vehicle is amazing. I wonder if that's another reason for 2021 for a Challenger Redesign. Great video.

The gas guzzler tax only applies on passenger cars so SUVs and trucks don't have it. There's no reason to change the current Challenger because it's perfect.

Here are the only 2017 cars listed that are applicable for the highest gas gussler tax. You're correct about trucks and Suvs being exempt. That said, those aforementioned vehicles have improved their gas mileage ratings from prior years. If EPA regulations go back to the prior numbers set. Cars like the Challenger Hellcat will end up having to change from the less fuel efficient Hemi to a different type of engine. EPA regulations were rolled back in 2017, or these cars would not be available. This roll back effected all vehicles making fuel numbers much lower. The simular scenario happen in the early 70s due to excessive gas use and supposedly a shortage of gas with cars getting in the area of 10 mpg. The muscle cars vanished. I'm happy to see these great performance cars available today. The Challenger, Mustang and Camaro are fantastic cars. I don't want to see the reintroduction of the Mustang II.

It also has different gears than a 2018 the 2018 has 321 gears 2019 has 309
If you're looking for a new '18, you won't find many that aren't loaded to the gills with options. Also, if you have a particular color you're after.... it makes it all the harder to locate one.
