I really wanted Europe like we all did but maybe it’s not such a bad thing. There’s something strange going on with the massive amount of injuries

Will we ever get into the style of getting great players who are already coming up with the goods, or are we forever stuck with getting boy wonders or great has - beens in the autumn of their great careers?

Mentioned somewhere that Albion need to be realistic no fault or blame on anyone = Having 10 injured 🤕 is a big deal + affects team cohesion - more a counter attacking style sounds interesting+ would like to beat 2022 ie 51points total 🔵 UTA 🇮🇪 ☘️ I mainly agre with you Guys 👍

I'm gonna be really honest, I feel it's nice to have a weight winched off our shoulders almost mathematically, and next season we'll have a domestic-only calendar, and more money banded about, so overall it's nice to have a reset, so I take more optimism from this result in the longer term and obviously the result in itself is poor, which is really the only negative I have, tactics aside, but I can't win 3 in a row on FM so who am I to question that.

I think it’s clear de zerbi need more time. With injury, being in Europe with Brighton for the first time, and what he thinks is a lack of investment/sales of key players. We need to go again with a pre season, with a few less potter era signing and more de zerbi lead ones - however with all the talk coming out of Man U and Chelsea I could see them not see this and swooping in

How you can be a professional football and if not injured, how can you be unfit ?

I don't think we are in mold yet to play in Europe next season. Missing next season will be a sort of reality check after our dream last season. So if we want to improve we need more experience players and club need to give De Zerbi transfer freedom cuz this season exposed everywhere we need to improve. Up the Albion next season

What are we to believe if we beat City and stop them winning the league? It's not impossible!

We must shift from playing possession based football to counter attacking football because it suits most of our attacking players. João pedro, simon adingra, julio enciso, ansu fati are all good counter attacking players who will flourish in a counter attacking system

Ross Barkley would be a good fit if Luton go down. Just a thought.

It's pretty ridiculous to say there's no difference between finishing 8th to 17th at the end of the season. How about from a financial PoV? We got £150 million for finishing 6th from the Premier League, that's £25m more than 12th and £40m more than 17th. For perspective that extra £25m is almost the same as BHAFC's matchday revenue for 2022/23 season. So I'd say it's pretty significant.
You praise De Zerbi for two high place finishing positions in the league - why bother if our end of season position doesn't matter?
How about confidence for the players going into the next season? What about the role our league position plays in influencing Tony Bloom in making the decision to invest and push on for an even higher target?
What about bragging rights between fans that always has a prominent place in football culture?
League position matters, it only "doesn't matter" to people making excuses for poor performances.
