- In this video, Austin discusses how we make weekly tutorials for this RUclips channel! We get a ton of questions asking what camera gear we use, how we record audio and video from our DAW and sync that with camera video, how we edit our videos, and how we come up with topics. We explore ALL of these questions in this video! If you've ever wondered how to make high quality production tutorials, watch this video!

Thank you Austin and Miranda for taking the time to do this video! You guys are amazing!
You don’t understand how bad I needed this video, specially for capturing the audio. Thank you so much I appreciate you
Dude, this is so clutch. I just started filming a video course on sync licensing and this video answers so many questions. Thank for you sharing the sauce!
I'm not really good at teaching other people, but I love dabbling in a lot of things and this might help me learn more. Thanks for being part of my music journey!
I've watched 20 videos and this explained everything perfect. Thank you. ❤
Nice!
Davinci Resolve is dope for video editing and it's also free!
I've been looking all over for something like this. Thanks so much!
wow definitely Im inspired!
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you!
Been looking for a video like this for a while man thank you! Your Chanel showcases so many gems!
This is a gold mine and your videos are top shelf.
Thanks for this! I really get into this.
Thanks a bunch ❤❤
Hey Austin, I just checked out your newest podcast and I think a tutorial on making a kick sample from scratch would be an awesome video idea. This was my favorite podcast so far! Can’t wait for more content!
Adding to the list!
@@MakePopMusic yeah please, would love to learn how to make "the perfect kick" for myself
Been waiting for this. Nice man thanks.
This was so fascinating. Y'all are machines! Your tutorials are the best.
Honestly brilliant thing here !!!
Thank you for this video, really helpful 🙏
MASTERCLASS
Brooo🔥🔥. You covered the most confusing and hard to find topic on youtube. Thanks bro this is the best channel 👍👍
Wow, didn't expect this video at all, but it will be extremely helpful as I'm actually recording music production tutorials myself!
Love your generous tutorials. I would look sooner rather than later at getting an ATEM Mini Pro, and probably the “ISO” models would save you the most time. Fwiw.
I’d be hyped if you made a Joji or Post Malone tutorial
Thanks a lot, That's cool
Although I don't do tutorials ....But Man this is Very Useful if I wanna share my demo of music , daw screen for Insta and stories ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Hey Austin thank you and to your team for doing this video I really needed that, really really helpful! I just wanted to ask you if you could do a video about headphone mixes, I’m using studio one but it’s kinda similar to cubase. I’m curious to know how do you go about preparing a session with one musicien for his and your headphone mix when recording. Thanks ❤
Hi :) you dont need VOICEMEETER as long as you use control room inside cubase and the diferent outputs with the CUE section
Read the title as "How to make Pro Audio Quality tutorial" at first glance, got me like, "Austin gonna tell us how to make Pro sounding samples?".
Reread the title, "Ok let's see what's up"🤣
Would love to see your videos in 4K! (esp the Cubase screenshares so those would look crispier) Also, if anyone is using an audio interface that comes with a Loopback channel, such as the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen, you don't need Voicemeeter.
Can you please make a video on making an Alexander Stewart type song
cool video, tnx for the info
when i do videos i am opening another instance of Cubase (i keep lower versions of Cubase for that) and i rout the mic and the DAW into difrent tracks
this way i can edit and mix the sound of the video before it goes into Premier for video editing
What i was hoping to see in this video is your lighting setting, i like the way it looks on your videos
We mentioned it! It’s just one neewer softbox to the left of the camera!
I'm trying to get into streaming would obs segment in this apply for twitch streaming as well or just recording video?
I’m doing all of this by myself. A team would be nice 😩
Really cool to see an in depth explanation about your technics! I wondered why you don't record the mic with voice meter also. So you get only one audio channel. Of course the voice recording gets some editing later but I think it's also possible to do some editing with plugins in real time with voice meter or am I wrong? 🤔
Then she can’t cut my mic audio when it’s playing back from my speakers. And no, voicemeeter can’t take FX plugins.
@@MakePopMusic Ah, yeah that's the point. I forgot about that. :)
Do you have a video for a livestream set up? I know it would be similar, but there should be some changes when you're live. :)
It’s the same. I just hook my camera up to my computer via HDMI and select it as a video source on OBS
@@MakePopMusic Cool. Thanks!
Love the tutorial. Got a question though. :-) I can’t get the audio from cubase and into voicemeeter without changing my driver in cubase to voicemeeter driver. If I have my regular M-audio driver in cubase the sound is not going to VM… You make it look so simple but it just won’t work for me. 😅 Any suggestions?
Lol figured it out. To anyone also experiencing this problem: if you have more outputs on your interface, link two outputs on your interface with two inputs on that same interface (I used for example output 1/2 to input 7/8; then in Cubase I had to go to inputs and outputs (hotkey F4) and go to control panel; here I added a Cue send and set the Cue 1 output to 1/2 (where my cables were on my interface); from here I went to rack settings and clicked show Cue sends and added the Cue 1 send to my master stereo bus (remember to turn the send on); then go to voicemeeter app and set the hardware input 2 to the inputs you chose to link your outputs with. In my case input 7/8. Everything else is just following Austin’s great video and explanation.
Hope this helps anyone. 😊
how’d you route the daw audio to voicemeeter while using your interface drivers??
Voicemeeter has the asio 3+4 as the input so it just picks up my native sound card. It’s just muted for the output
Best to use reastream instead of voicemeeter
Tried it but it never worked. I use a RME interface now so I loop back directly into OBS with this.
I would like to use studio one as my daw but somehow Voice Meeter doesn’t pick up the audio, unless I change studio one output to VM. How can I fix this to have VM pick up all audio from desktop?
Depending on your computer drivers and your interface drivers, you may be able to select the Asio option (look at my VoiceMeeter setup as a template). Not all computers have the same flow though.
7:50 monitor placement must be difficult with such a wiiiiiiide screen. I am using a set of two 2K screens stacked on top of each other for my setup. Usually arrangement goes on the bottom screen and the mixer goes on top. But I have a much smaller desk so I have to be frugal about my equipment footprint.
Not at all! Monitors are in a perfect triangle. They just sit off my desk beside the screen and I’m about 5.5 feet away from them.
@@MakePopMusic cool! - you must have hawk eyes - how far away are you from the screen? (my 56 year old eyes have trouble even at 2ft distance)
I'd love to hear some feedback on my videos! Ive been doing tutorials for a while now :)
Hiii, I appreciate you, and I'd really like to have your production template for Cubase 12.
Check our video on the channel about my template! There is a free download for it there.
