This was WAAYYY too good for a High School production. Very impressive!
I agree! they almost sound like Ellen and Rick AWESOME JOB!
That's private school for you lol. I went to a private school my freshman and sophomore years and we had a huge production budget. There was so much encouragement for talented students to partake. I ended up moving and decided to go to a public school for my junior and senior years and was shocked at how limited the arts were. I ended up doing advanced show choir and we did not have much to work with. However, we won nationals and won an all expenses paid trip to perform in Disneyland. I really wish public schools had more funds available for the arts cause I feel a lot of students don't get to express themselves through art from the lack of it in most schools.
The Tiffs Public schools do have that potential as well. It depends on the area and the financial involvement of the communities. I graduated from Roosevelt High School here in Seattle. We were known for quite a few things, but the two big things that school is known for is the Jazz band, and the Spring musical. When you have a community that rallies behind you financially, it makes a lot of difference.
Whoever worked on their set did a fantastic job.
Seymour's voice is absolutely amazing. Wonderful job both of you. You both incorporated your characters' accents into your singing voices while still keeping your notes pure. I know this weird because it has been five years, but I just had to say it!
No one realizes this seymour was in pitch perfect. He was a treblemaker!
He's my bae 😂😍
Omg I love pitch perfect
this is a high school...
steffany gomes better than so many other college and broadway performances to be honest
I commented ages ago but I'm going to comment again. This is my favourite film ever so I'm really picky about covers etc blah blah....these two people really really did it justice! Both brilliant singers, both adorable. My only criticism? Seymour is WAY too cute and good looking haha! Love this performance though. :)
thank you so much! Really appreciate the encouragement!
That was you in the vid!! Awesome girl. You should have seen my high school's performance of this, it was a hot mess. The lights went out due to a powercut..Audrey 2 spoke in a Scottish accent haha. I guess that's how us Brits do it. :)
@@LianneSilano girl that was amazing!!!
She's an amazing Audrey!
Thank you!
+Lianne Silano you were, how old are you in this?
I agree. She's fantastic.
She sure is. She studied ellen Greene. The girls in the Broadway revivals should have been this good.
Both were incredible. I love how they put their own twist on the character, and made it their own. Extremely impressive. The Audrey owned it, as well as Seymour.
Once he dropped the accent from the song it started getting better, lol.
tacoblocko totally agree
The guy who played Seymour is incredible, his vocals gave me chills. He has left me wanting to hear more from him. When was this done and where is he now? Anybody?
He was in the movie "Pitch Perfect".
He has a youtube channel with his siblings as well I think! The Gornec siblings!!!
Again, a testament that timing and casting can just rival if not as in this case outshine revivals of a professional nature. Naturally this was the "sweeter" and a younger version of this show but they did it very simply with purity and the right timing.. and it was very well done. Very.
These guys are talented af!
Awwww he looks so awkward and he wants to impress her so much awwwwww I'm crying
Holy hell how is this high school, Seymour’s voice is incredible
I've been re-watching the film since it first came out and have seen numerous people perform this song. Besides Ellen Greene and Rick Moranis, I've never seen anyone perform the roles and do the singing so well. Excellent chemistry, too. Bravo. :)
I so agree and no better review or words can be said than that. I hope those two kids find their way to Broadway.
Hold up! This is a freaking HS performance?! This was literally better than the revival version on the show on Broadway...these two actors just blew me away...brought me to tears
Fun fact: the first time I saw Little Shop Of Horrors was a high school production where my best friend was on the stage crew and her boyfriend played Orin, and I thought it was amazing and it put me on an adrenaline high for the rest of the night, so I guess Little Shop Of Horrors is just that powerful that even high school productions can blow you away
You sound exactly like Ellen Greene at some points. Amazing!
Every actor, who portraits the role has to sund like the original
What? Not only does your sentence have like 5 grammatical/spelling mistakes, what I believe you're trying to communicate isn't even necessarily true.
This is the best HS version of this I've ever seen! Send these youngsters to Broadway!! Phenomenal.
I am musically directing Little Shop in September...and if I get a Seymour and Audrey to perform to this standard I will be extremely happy. Well done guys, nailed it.
I have never been a fan of high school or community theater musicals, but these two were absolutely amazing...I've never seen a non professional version of this song that is any better than what these two did...they're going to go very far in life...
This was awesome! What a top notch production! This was just as good as when I seen Little Shop on Broadway!
I'm playing Mr. Mushnik in my Secondary School's production of LSoH. I can't wait to perform. :)
They are both great! I would pay to see them play Audrey and Seymour. They both have amazing voices!!!
EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Shook me to the CORE, melted my HEART, and brought me to TEARS-JUST as the ORIGINAL did! OVATION! 👏👏👏👏
High School? Really? Very surprising. Excellent version of this duet. The little trills added by Mr. Gorenc were a bit different but that didn't really detract from the overall performance. Very well done by both of you!
I love how Seymour sings okay
Awesome performance. These two need to be on Broadway
The performances are great, but this is BRILLIANT material... amazing song, chilling lyrics, all-time great play
I can't believe that is a high school production!!!
so pro!!!
I've been listening to this all day! You guys are so talented!! I wish my school could do something half this good!!
Gosh you guys are amazing! This is my favourite move EVER. You did it justice. Jeez Seymour...you are the cutest most gorgeous person I've seen play that role. You brought handsome to the role. You are a beautiful geek. stunning. Bravo to both of you. *claps*
SLAY. ME. SEYMOUR.
Amazing job! Love how how smooth each of their voices were. And how "Seymour" kinda made it his own by adding that special touch to his parts.~
very nice. both were amazing. not an easy song for the girl with those high pitches. she did great.
WOW!!! These kids can really sing!
I have been watching this nonstop since yesterday because my school has auditions for little shop of horrors next week and they said we're singing a group number and then we're singing this to get an idea for the vocal abilities for audrey and seymour and this was the best reference I found for the duet. I really enjoyed watching your chemistry on stage and your voices are incredible! This blew me away! You were such an amazing Audrey!
I did that when I was in my school production of little shop. I still listen to it all the time and I was in it a year ago!
I had to read the description again to make sure that this is indeed a high school production, I'm very impressed!
Yeah, you two are crazy talented. Your talking voice as Audrey is perfect. And then your singing is cute and then belty. Loved it. It was funny how different his "real" singing voice is from the character. These are two great musical theater characters and you really did justice to them.
Wow, this is great! Congrats! Great voices. Taking inspiration from this for my audition for LSOH in a few months.
@TheJAKSproductions thank you so much!! I'm so glad it helped, the entire show is on youtube so feel free to watch and share all of them!
I think this is literally my favourite rendition of 'Suddenly Seymour'
I just read the comments that this was a high school performance. High School? Amazing job done by both.
omg just saw this wow they killed it and this is one of my fave musical numbers and makes me cry everytime
This is just incredible, the vocals are beautiful! Perfect!
I watch this video over and over again because it is just PERFECT
The set probably costed 10,000 dollars! It looked so cool! These kids are so lucky
This is a HighbSchool production? WOW!
finally, a Seymour that can actually sing. but NOBODY can play Audrey like Ellen Greene.
they are in high school. relax
Usually HS performances suck. This was excellent. You guys were great!
Ok so I'm a freshman and I'm playing Audrey.... She's not really my favorite character of all time - so I was wondering if you could give me some advice about how you did it. I'm starting to freak.
My school did this this year! I was a dancer and our first Audrey and our original Seymour were absolutely amazing! Best ever! They did Rick and Ellen justice
Good audio. Good lighting. Good set. Good performers. Amazed that this is from a high school. Kudos
Professional performances, professional sets! Superb.
i can't believe i'm saying this but i think this is better then the broadway cast! bravo!!
I can’t believe this was High School WOW
This is really fantastic and could rival a professional (adult) company production. The accents were done really well too. Good job!
LOVE IT! Having friends on broadway, directed plays before, this is one of the best versions I've ever seen and I'm picky!
I was Seymour got my high school play a few months ago. I would go home everyday after practice and listen to this trying to sound like that guy. This is perfect
WOW!! THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL? WELL DONE,VERY WELL DONE. YOU TWO ARE TALENT! YOU WILL BE MOVING WELL INTO THE STAGE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU SOME MORE. BRAVO!
Think this is my favourite version on youtube..both voices are beautiful, and your acting is really wonderful!
Was looking for the movie version - almost clicked away. Glad I didn't. Amazing job!
Lianne I saw
little shop of
broadway in 86 you give Ellie a run for her money. Hope your still hittin it!
seriously great, and the accents really are amazing. We are doing this play in middle school and it's so hard!
Hats off to the director. Whoever you are. Your work shows through.
Your stage set is so great
Wow one of the best high school performances I've ever seen
omg the lips of audrey 2 are literally amazing i lOVE
Those are two premium voices. Very nice!
OMG THIS IS SO PERFECT!!!! i got chills, y'all are going places!!
Just incredible. Congrats to the both of you on an amazing performance.
OUTSTANDING! You guys did an awesome job, both of the performers here. To think this was done at a high school! Best HS performance I've ever seen. Excellent A++
This is broadway perfect
I used all of these performances for references of the show when I was in it. Such an amazing performance! Definitely the best I've seen
That was a show stopping performance by both. Congrats and keep singing.
This was amazing! Both Seymour and Audrey were INCREDIBLE singers... I hope I can measure up when I play Audrey in September.. :)
she performs it so much mroe similarly to ellen greenw than anyone i have ever seen… too many ppl portray her as more rough around the edges with too much gritt… this is like the original
unbelievable!! chills and goosebumps!! awesome - both of them!!
So I should have tried to play Seymour in high school to get to kiss a babe like this? This play is the one surefire way a nerd can score a hottie. Sounds like this Seymour is playing Adam Sandler playing Seymour. Audrey's accent sounds perfect here. The plant looks awesome.
Wow, that was fantastic. You guys knocked it out of the park.
OH MYYYYYYYYYYYYY the dude sounds like adam pascal!!!!!! 4:55
Greg would love to know you said this!!
let him know! I was disappointed he didn't really have much else on youtube like other musicals and..Im a weird dude,so i hope he appreciates it!
OMG I'M SO GLAD I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT
I don't hear Adam at all in his vocals. Like at all.
Best seymour and Audrey ever!!!!!!
Amazing! You guys are sooo good!
What a shame this wasn't captured with better quality, because it's fantastic.
Wow!!! They did such an awesome job!!!!!! The girl's voice is spot on!!!!!!!
It's crazy that I prefer this version to the actual movie version. Both actors are extremely talented.
Lol It was late at night when I watched this and I stand utterly corrected. I retract my previous statement in favour of this to be an impressive production for high school.
This gave me chills! Y'all were fantastic!
wonderful acting and singing! well done.
they are amazing! shes a great Audrey!
This is incredible! I've been watching the movie for years, and am obsessed with Ellen Greene and Rick Moranis together. I've never heard a more intense and emotional version of this song, until now!! This is the best I've seen/heard since them. I can't believe how good you guys are. Thank you so much for putting it on youtube! Is there any way I can get the entire video?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 incredible performance! well done
one of the best high school performances i've seen on youtube
So thankful.
@vaugier7, Thank you so much! Our names are Lianne Silano and Greg Gorenc!
Great performance. We're doing this show at my local drama group and since I came as a late entry I'm doing an audition on the 21st so going through all the songs deciding which one I'm gonna sing.
NOw I would love to hear Audrey 2 singing! This is amazing!
WTF ! That's perfect. I mean, not only for high school, that's awesome !
Awesome strong performance from both kids! Loved it
I stumbled across this...wow! These guys are amazing!!
Wow! Very professional! I wouldn't hvave guessed it was a High school production :)
