800+ hp for an overland JT??? Not sure that I understand that logic, BUT it does make for GREAT RUclips. Lol. I guess I need to do that on my little channel JeepNdirt to get some views, but I guess I need an extra 90 grand first Lol. Oh, and I agree with the many who have stated already, there's no replacement for displacement and in this world of e-This, e-That and the other, it is nice to hear a V-8. Great stuff buddy, keep it coming. Can't wait to see the end product.
I am a car guy not a camping guy. This build is 1000% for the fun factor and to show you guys something you won't see anywhere else (I know Litebrite has a demon too, but this build series is unlike anything on RUclips). I am having fun building it, and will have fun using it. That is the only logic I am using - entertainment.
@@Casey250 I'm definitely on board. When you think that gas motors will eventually go away it's like if you're going to do this type off thing you better do it now before it's too late. Rock on brother.
100% then ill build a 2000hp EV jeep lol
Everything is coming together nicely! Or rather, everything is coming APART nicely! This thing is going to be a certified monster in short order.
Amazing project…Cool to watch the deconstruction and build process. 👊🏼🇺🇸
A gladiator with a demon hemi in it that's kool
I think so too
Yes the “one thing Toyotas are good for” pulling Jeeps out of precarious situations 😂😂😂
Lol.
I agree with Christian. Don't need brakes. They only slow you down 😂 I'd like to say this build is coming together nicely but...... I guess I can say it's coming apart nicely? Thanks for the video Casey!
ROFL ya dude.
Come to the Netherlands for high pricing…… 🤪a Wrangler costs 120.000 US dollar
how hard would it be to and how cool would it be to put that 3.6 in a 2004 jeep Rubicon
I have no idea, sorry.
We have a local guy with a demon challenger who likes to drive by our shop at 5k rpm with the super charger screaming. Gotta be 1 of the sweetest automotive sounds in the world. Going to be so cool to hear that in 4 low at a low speed climbing a trail!
Oh ya! Ive already heard it running :) its going to be crazy wheelin
what kinda mpg we talkin aboot wit the Demon? i'm gonna guess 8-10 mpg with a fully loaded rig 🤔🤔gonna be a sweet build
8mpg with a heavy foot, 12 to 14mph cruising on the highway.... hopefully. This build won't be overloaded.
I am not a Jeep fan. I am also the AntiChrysler! That said, I am interested in this build for some odd reason...........watchin, good luck!
You won't be disappointed :)
I’m assuming that you are upgrading your axle housings as well being that the Mojave doesn’t have a front locker. Are your putting in Dana 60’s? 😊
Stay tuned. Axles will be swapped.
So how come Madi was not supervising? The amount of mods you are doing you should have just started with a chassis and added everything else…..
Lol.
I’m surprised you go to McDonald’s. I go for coffee, that’s it.
I like bacon and egg mcmuffins.
Does Gretchen have a Instagram for that beautiful rig?
@ruralpunk
Welcome to the "What's left of a Mojave" club -- you went straight to level 10🔥
Level 11
@@Casey250 😮
What happens to the “old” parts? With all the part shortages it seems that would be a waste.
Most things are being sold off... except the tires, we will probably burn those off :)
Awesome Casey build great to see you getting monster built you chase down bigfoot lol . I'm getting mine fixed it's gone stupid some odd reason. Had 🛑 my build see what up with front end .
how much are you selling the engine and trans for
I think its already sold
I'm speechless!
So is the Mojave transfer case just not strong enough?
You can't remove the nose cone off it, that needs to be replaced with the billet adapter from AMW to mate it to the transmission.
Great project, and an even better crew doing the work! Thanks for sharing it with us Casey, Ginger, and Epic! Can't wait for the next episode to drop.
Next Saturday! Unboxing the engine!
Check out America's most wanted videos they have a killer gladiator with a halphant doing a burnout it's awesome
awesome!
Great series!
On October we ran out Demon at Lebanon valley dragway, 153 at 10.4 seconds. Can’t get any traction. (Hudson valley chapter of Mopar Action Magazine )
Demon car or demon gladiator? :D I am hoping itll run in the 12's.
@@Casey250 demon car. It scares the crap out of me. And my 69 Charger is 743 pounds/feet of torque and 671 HP. No traction . Tremec 5speed . But I never use 5th. ( see photo)
So drive Fluffy full bore at least 1/4 mile drag style. Stay in it the whole way. Because that Deamon Gladiator will be more of a handful. And they like heading for the guard rails with all that power . Did you say 800 plus? 😂😂good luck.
40in tires will slow it down. Im pretty good with high power vehicles. You should try R888R tires for your Demon. World of difference on my Vette
When are you going to pick up a wrench Casey and truely make it your own?
I have a huge list of projects I want to tackle once the main portion is complete.
I’m begging g y oh to get a stabilized camera. Stop jerking the camera around. Otherwise I love the videos, I just have a really hard time watching them!
I use a Sony A7SIII. I hand hold it so I can always quickly capture the moments and its natural to talk to. Adding a gimbal would take away from the natural flow of these videos. In the low lights and shop lights a GoPro looks awful. One day maybe I can have everything I want in a camera but there are no better options. This is the style I use to get the type of video I want. Sorry if it doesn't work for you.
Awesome build...what axles and gearing are are you doing? How much torque can the rubicon transfer case handle?
8lug amw 60/80 with 4.88s. We will see how long the tcase holds. I will be cautious in 4 low.
You and all the others doing these builds, just keep on doing it. We'll keep watching. I personally wouldn't go there. In my opinion it's over powered for the kinds of trails you go on, but, you'll get there really fast. 😂
Its a fun video series and will be fun content for you guys to watch once its done. Thats pretty much the only reason to do this lol
👍
I can’t believe Ginger sold his truck
Youll come to learn that the Ginger goes thru new rigs every 6 months
Hey, Toyotas don’t have to be torn apart down to the frame before you can drive them!! :-)
No they just have to have their rusted frames replaced lol.
@@Dirtbeaver you mean when they start to rust after 30 years of flawless use?
Now would be the time to install an auxiliary tank like Dan Grec has on his Gladiator.
Theres no room for one.
@@Casey250 Is it because of the engine swap? Long Range America makes an auxiliary fuel tank for the gladiator with a stock engine.
Ouch Landon... ouch...
LOL!
Yeah, but Jon, I bet yours worked straight off the lot and every day since without having to tear it apart to the frame & replace everything!
I think it’s just sad that Jeep Wranglers are now evidently completely out of style, passé, and old hat. You now have to have a Gladiator, a completely over the top turbo V8, and have to trash everything about a brand new vehicle except the body and frame in order to go out wheeling……..if you are a RUclipsr, that is. All the Epic guys now have Gladiators with engine swaps, drive-train swaps, and suspension-swaps. This is the new “normal” that the rest of us are to aspire to. Sorry, but I just don’t buy into that. I am quite happy with my ‘19 JL Rubicon for all my wheeling needs. But I understand the need to fulfill sponsor requests, the need to maintain RUclips and Amazon referral revenue, etc. I just wonder what can the next step possibly be, one of those massive 5-ton track-hauler beasts you see at overlanding shows? There will have to be something, and that may be a real possibility because a year from now, Gladiators will no longer be “cool”, there will have to be something new. This is fun to watch, but it has gone completely beyond reality for most of us Jeepers out here.
I still have 2 wranglers and will likely keep my JK forever. I have 2 schools of thought here. One, Jeeping has been built around modding and figuring things out and doing it yourself, I love that and I see that alot more on my JK. The other side is, we have expanded our Jeep community into a huge new segment of people over the last few years and many people don't have the knowledge / interest / time to build and modify their vehicles but want to get out and enjoy the world outside of the city. Businesses like Epic really help that group of people get into properly modified rigs and reliably let them go out and use them to adventure.
This build is just something epic and fun to do and entertain 50k + people with. I am a car guy, and do combine my passion of cars and offroading into the most epic build ever is a dream come true. I compare it to the car shows I grew up watching with rigs and vehicles i'd never own but sure is fun to watch them be built and used.
Who knows where the next step is, but I promise itll be fun and entertaining. There will always be videos of all sorts on this channel from DIY mods, adventures, reviews,, and ridiculous builds.
Thanks for watching!
I look at it realistically - it’s not necessarily something to aspire to; it’s just entertainment for most of us (unless your wallet is unusually thick). Don’t worry what the neighbors drive… just do your own thing and enjoy the show!
That’s what I do. I have personally done a lot of mods on my Jeep, most of which I did myself during the Covid lockdown. Most of it is stock though, for the type of overlanding and wheeling I do. I have not felt it necessary to trash anything that came on it until I first wear it out, then I will consider bigger tires, suspension modifications, etc.
I just find it a bit ridiculous to take a brand new $70,000 or so vehicle and trash everything about it except the body. I don’t have the kind of wallet to support doing that, but RUclips ad revenue and Amazon affiliate links and merch funding provide the necessary funding to do this sort of wholesale re-build, and that’s just fine, just as long as viewers are not led to believe that this is just normal a every day thing.
I also realize that, just like on a lot of other similar RUclips channels, most of this rebuild is probably being provided by sponsors and the manufacturers free gratis just for having it shown on a very popular RUclips channel, and that is also fine as long as they are being straighforward about it. A lot of RUclipsrs are a bit shady about this, but when you hear them say “‘So-and-so manufacturer’ hooked us up with this great gizmo” that is the tell that they got it for free but they aren’t going to disclose that to viewers. Casey has been very good at disclosing what he gets for free and what he pays for, and I really appreciate his honesty to his viewers. @@cdnjeepoverland
As a YJ owner, I have to live through these guys. I can’t bankroll a newer Jeep these day, so I’ll gladly watch the RUclipsrs do it while enjoying inexpensive Jeepin in my YJ
I sure enjoying seeing what an unlimited budget can accomplish. And THRILLED it’s being done in CANADA! But I’ll stick with my ‘85 Toyota…..also heavily modified, but I built it.
epic needs to move to the kootenays lol, Cheap buildings out here lol
The drive to white rock dodge is a a bit far.
