The Beatles | 25 LEAST Played Songs on Spotify
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 ноя 2021
- The top 25 least played songs on Spotify by The Beatles. Did you discover any songs you didn't know yet? And which one(s) do you like the most?
Leave your suggestions of which artist you like to see next.
I play a few short snippets from every song I include to quickly give you a feel for what the song is about while trying to avoid copyright issues.
For this list I only use songs on studio albums. Therefore I exclude remixes, alternative takes or versions, extended edits, live performances and other bonus material.
The reason why Her Majesty is so low is because Spotify only counts it as a play if the song has been played for atleast 30 seconds. Her Majesty is 25 seconds long so even if you played the song in its entirety it doesn't count as a play. You'd have to listen to it twice in a row for a play to be counted
True. I wasn't aware of that when I made this video otherwise I wouldn't have included that song at all probably
I was wondering how anything off Abbey Road could have that little play
So how come it got half a million streams then?
@@bobwoolerOriGinal People played it multiple times
It says 186,000. No way that’s possible when all the other abbey road tracks are in hundreds of millions
This has got to be wrong. I just can't believe people played “Revolution 9” on Spotify MORE than those 25.
Number Nine
Revolution 9 slaps bro wdym?
Number 9..
Very puzzling, indeed. Number nine... number nine... number nine...
and also the filler in yellow submarine and magical mystery tour
"You Can't Do That" is awesome -- one of John's early guitar solos.
And wasn't it almost released as a single? No reason it should be underappreciated.
A hard day's night is my 2nd fav Beatles album
@@donl9571 , I've understood that yes, it was going to be a single, until McCartney came in with "Can't Buy Me Love." I love both - who doesn't? - but it's a shame that "You Can't Do That" has never gotten quite the attention it deserves, I think. That's the recording which gave me a lifelong, incurable case of Beatlemania. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it as a fat little 12 year old boy in August, 1964.
Easily one of my 10 favorite Beatles songs!
I think even though it's on this list, it might be played a lot
“A Taste of Honey” was Billy Preston’s favorite Beatles song back in Hamburg. He would always request it. I think it’s underrated.
One of my favorite PPM tracks
Two takeaways from this: 1) there are some criminally under appreciated tracks on their early albums and 2) there are way more masochists than I would have guessed who have suffered through Revolution 9 and Wild Honey Pie.
Love Revolution 9. Knocks most of the stuff here into a cocked hat.
Revolution 9, I can dig. Wild honey pie, I'll give it a wide berth out of ten.
I'm one of the few that love Wild Honey Pie and break out into singing everytime
Hate wild honey pie but love revolution 9
Good point! (Esp Rev #9!)
A testament to just how brilliant they were...their 25 least popular songs makes a helluva playlist!
You got that right sir
Exactly. Ringo and George loved Carl Perkins. I play The guitar a little bit and I love playing Honey Don’t
AMEN!
Meh
@@MidosujiSen Yeah, you're right, Sloop; speaking of whom -- Brian's vocal arrangements, as well as the music -- F'N AMAZING!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, brother and a happy and healthy New Year.
“Baby’s in Black” and “I don’t want to spoil the party” are so, so, sooooooooo underrated
Wow, I was surprised to see "Baby's in Black" on this list. One of my all-time favorite Beatle tracks. John and Paul harmonizing - just incredible!
Same
This song was always on their live set list. Surprising to see it here. I agree.
Agreed!
Stream more it’ll go up and tell people to listen to the album and song
I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party, It’s All Too Much, and What You’re Doing also left me speechless… Criminally underrated!
"Beatles for Sale" was the only Beatles CD my dad had when I was a kid. We played the crap out of it on road trips. I didn't know it was one of their least popular albums until like 2 years ago. Just, what a band.
This band is a crap.
That album is a piece of shit.
@@livmarlin4259 I don’t know what music you’ve been listening to, but the Beatles are the most influential band in history. Name any artist or any band after the Beatles and they would tell you the Beatles inspired them. It’s this generation now, you guys think your rap is music. Take a look in a mirror. Take a look at this world
@@livmarlin4259 🤡🤡🤡
@@jackpetrella551 I believe she was referring to music, not influence
“Only a Northern Song” and “It’s All Too Much” are so heavily underrated, I was honestly surprised to see those on this list
Same. I was confident that people just listen to albums, back to back, but it now seems that they don't. Disclaimer: I'm a woolly mammoth stuck in the vinyl age, never ever used any online subscriptions.
People just don't listen to Yellow Submarine that much
Not gonna lie, those were the 2 songs I really didn't like the sound of out of most of these tracks
All Too Much is far and wide the most underrated Beatles song. I was obsessed with tat song recently. I listened to it literally on repeat
Northern Song is rubbish, sorry. It seems that George was intentionally trying to create a song that sounded bad. He succeeded.
(It's All Too Much is fantastic.)
"There's a Place" is one of my favs. So early Beatles. And "What You're Doing" is definitely a good song. Can't believe Revolution #9 isn't on here
Revolution 9 is much better than theres a place and what youre doing. You just have to listen it a few times to notice it. Of course its just my opinion also im not a fan of early beatles that much.
Revolution 9 is a misunderstood experimental classic.
"There's a Place", I remember, was actually my favorite song on that 1st album.
@@sjdrifter72 no it's not. I LOVE the Beatles but R9 is trash noise
@@TonysMusic1974 listen to it high at 2 am, then you will understand.
Baby's In Black is the most underrated gem in my opinion, one of their greatest tracks.
I felt in love with this song since the first time I heard it
Agreed! "Baby's in Black" is a McCartney-Lennon harmony gem!
Indeed!!!
It's criminal that A Taste of Honey is so underplayed. I love that song. Baby's in Black as well, it's a real gem.
There’s a place too i was surprised
Two of my faves f'sure...
A taste of honey is a cover, so maybe somebody has done it better...
I like it too, shame John himself didn't, he used to call it "A Waste Of Money"
Even the band themselves hated A Waste of Money. It was a joke they were even required to record it
It's a shame alot of these classic's are being overlooked. "Every Little Thing" is a masterwork.
YES did their own version of this song: ruclips.net/video/KCHXYs-eX8I/видео.html You can't recognize the melody until about a minute and 44 seconds in.
@@Cantor214 Yes I'm familiar. They did a unique cover but I prefer the original
To be fair, 6 million listens is hardly "overlooked"...
@@Lomedae Well, when it's about the Beatles, those are overlooked numbers
I agree - I look at this list as being mostly ‘early filler songs’ and several ‘shouldn’t be this underplayed’ entries. Still good stuff, and as noted it still has 6 million streams and only on Spotify!
As a Beatles fan, I like them all! Many bands would wish their top 25 was as good as this low 25.
It's hard not to notice a disproportionate number of George lead vocals. But I guess he gets his revenge at the opposite end of the list, with "Something", "Here Comes the Sun", and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
In my opinion, I think George’s vocals are actually so incredible, he’s so recognisable immediately and also (especially in his solo career) when he does that little wailing singing, it adds so much to the song and I love pretty much all of his Beatles songs, not to mention how he always knew what to play for a song on guitar, not ever feeling the need to show off. Did you know he could play 26 instruments?!
Johns vocals on Mr.Moonlight just gets me everytime
@@andrewhudson8966 Paul played organ, not George Martin.
I don't like the song much but that a capella intro kills.
Never understood the hatred of this song.
I don't want to spoil the party??? It has one of the loveliest John and Paul harmonies !
Good ear!
@@sidemann2247 the middle eight is out of this world .... though tonight she.....
Absolutely! Just listened to the isolated vocal track(s) -- goosebumps.
Also - and this doesn't necessarily translate to Spotify - but as the B-Side of "Eight Days a Week", I would have thought it one of the Beatles more familiar numbers, and therefore getting more calls.
@@andrewhoag6167 am sure they play a snippet of Every Little Thing in the Get Back doc?
The harmony in “I’m so sad and lonely” in Little Child gets to me everytime.
Right, I think that song is skipped a lot because the title lyrics are pretty uncomfortable to listen to
@@Rythmbot That's definitely why I skip it on what otherwise would bbe my favorite Beatles album.
@@Rythmbot Yeah, it has aged pretty poorly

1 - Her Majesty
ban moment?
#24, #23, #15, #13, #10, #8, #4 all underrated
Her Majesty is on there? What??? It’s such a nice little song
Edit: nvm, it’s only there because Spotify only counts 30 seconds of listening to a song, so it’s too short to count plays
If only they had put her majesty in between Mr. mustard and polythene Pam
I've always fet that "With the Beatles" was a lousy title for their second album and that "Not a Second Time" should have been the title track.
It would have been just their kind of joke too.
Honastly You Like Me Too Much is sooooo underrated. It’s definitely not some epic masterpiece but it is just a super satisfying song to listen too. Young George was on his way to becoming a master songwriter and it’s just really fun to listen to his journey. Also Baby’s In Black is just incredible. The harmonies are so on point. It really shows a step forward for them
“Every Little Thing” is criminally overlooked.
I would have expected "Revolution 9" on this list.
Revolution 9 is too famous to be on this list.
“You can’t do That” is actually a pretty good listen along with “Dizzy miss Lizzy” “Devil in her Heart”
all very enjoyable songs, especially devil in her heart
Yet half of these are not original songs.
I dont like at all Dizzy mizzi lizzy
I totally agree, I have actually chose to sing these tunes with cover bands.
They're fine, but I'd rather listen to the originals.
Imagine we lived in a world where this was the Beatles one and only "Greatest Hits" package.
I won't try it.
Yes
I'd buy it.
@equizolls even Don't Pass Me By?
@Earl Gray That's a great imagination you have. I suppose if we travelled back in time we might find something similar to it.. and if we travelled into the future. I'm sure someone will be selling The Beatles music centuries from now. Anything is possible when it comes to the Beatles.
I was in the Beatles top 0.05 percent of listeners this year on Spotify and it was surprising to see their least viewed songs because some of these songs on this list are actually my favorite songs by them.
As someone in their top 0.001%, I agree
@@steeeliertitan me too!
"Every Little Thing" is one of my favorite Beatles songs! It's a shame more people don't give it a listen! Those timpani drums in the chorus are tight af.
They pretty much invented the Byrds’ entire formula with that one song.
I personally will try to make an impact on this matter, I promise😁
when I saw that I was like HOW, it's a great song
Yes did a really excellent cover of it in their first album. Highly recommend!
Yeah it’s one of my favourites along with the medley which was at number 9. Was surprised to see them both here but then again Beatles for Sale is such an underrated album.
“You Can’t Do That”, “It’s All Too Much”, and “Only a Northern Song” are all underrated gems for me, and “I Wanna Be Your Man” is probably my second favorite Ringo lead vocal. Beatles For Sale is pretty underrated overall, “Baby’s in Black” is another keeper. It’s also worth noting that John Lennon referred to “A Taste of Honey” as “A Waste of Money” 😆😆😆
Thought 'You can't do that' would have made a decent single.
I was surprised to see “I Wanna Be Your Man”. I think it’s my 2nd fave Ringo song, too. It rocks and the whole band is having blast
I love its all too much
The trio Every Little Thing, I Don't Want to Spoil the Party and What You're Doing were always my favourite part of Beatles for sale and a highlight of their early period, although I prefer their later work.
@@ixlnxs What You’re Doing is so underrated, absolutely brilliant song.
I've always loved "Words of Love" the Buddy Holly cover. Sometimes like to play them back to back
For a long time I wasn't a fan of Buddy's version. It wasn't until recently I realized how genius it is! Buddy was so far ahead of his time. Now I like both versions equally.
I do that every time 😂

Me too
‘It’s all to much’ is one of my favorite Beatles songs and is very underrated
Some of these are some of my favorite songs. It's clear that Beatles For Sale doesn't get a lot of love. I find it hard to believe every song fell into their early catalog. It's more like this is what Spotify chose to play least on random playlists.
I think the whole "what Spotify chose to play least on random playlists" is the case too. For instance, I have a playlist for my favourite Beatles songs, and everytime I put it on shuffle, Spotify rarely picks "Baby's in Black", despite the song being one of my favourite and one that I'd usually play if it's not on shuffle
"What You're Doing" deserves more love - for any other band this would have been a highpoint
If I didn't know better I would have assumed it was a Paul McCartney & Wings release. It sounds so mid 70s to my ears.
"Not a second time " is such a gloom and magnificent song at the same time. It touches my heart in a deep sort of way.
yes this song is so underrated it inspired kurt cobain to write about a girl
Agree wholeheartedly. My favorite song on this list.
@@kozakpapkin6732 I didn't know that mate ; thank you for that information ..
@@Aratak711 An exquisite musical taste sir!
There’s A Place is soo underrated! Beautiful musically and lyrically - one of the first “introvert” anthems
This list proves that more people need to listen to their early albums. Great stuff honed after years of club playing, especially the cover songs.
I actually like "You Can't Do That". It's catchy
I actually love 'Only a Northern Song' and 'It's All Too Much'.
@The 80s Fan Well me too. There both Harrison songs from 67 and compared to the other songs on this list they have a much more contemporary sound and quality. I think all the other songs on the list sound dated (just my opinion). Some of those old songs are very good and well sung and some of the others are OK and of their time, 62-63/64.Most of them are early Album tracks and a couple maybe are early Bsides. IMO the two 67 Harrison songs could be released today 21/22 and labelled as a certain new band and I'd be non the wiser, only impressed (provided I didn't know it was the Beatles). That's a big proviso! Either way congratulations on having good taste in music. It's not often I've said that to someone.
Both are absolute masterpieces
i know all these songs except for these 2
no shit, who doesnt?
These songs along with Hey Bulldog were done a great disservice as they were placed on the soundtrack for the movie Yellow Submarine. Few bought that album because it offered only a few new songs and was mostly instrumental.
Just had this thought : I prefer most of these ''unpopular'' songs to 90% of what they put out in their solo careers. They were good individually, put their music suffered from the lack of that great input , chemistry and pure magic provided by the other 3.
Totally 💯 agree
this whole list is just proof that george is the most underrated beatle
Only in the Beatles’ discography would a masterpiece like It’s All Too Much be considered a throwaway song, it would easily be any other band’s magnum opus. It still sounds fresh and amazing to this day
Baby's in Black has some of the tightest harmonies! So underrated!
Yes
According to Spotify this is the song I listened to the most this year 😂
@@giannim7222 your a man of great taste
One of the first songs that shows John breaking out of the adolescent "boy-girl; I love you" mold and write more meaningful lyrics. Still dealing with romance , but from the less covered side.
John and Paul doing their “tribute” to the Everly Brothers. Great song!
Just goes to show, there's a Beatles song for everyone. A lot of these under-played songs are some of my top favorites.
Beatles For Sale needs more recognition, I can't believe so many songs from it are in this video
Its All Too Much is my personal favorite of the Psychedelic/Sgt Pepper era. I first heard it when i was a teen after checking out the "Yellow Submarine" soundtrack from the library, and was blown away by it. It gets criminally overlooked, and it deserves much better than to be the 8th least played song. I suppose the long length doesn't help in terms of multiple replays.
Some one on the youtube vid for It's all too much described it as being one of their most obscure songs. For another band, it would have been their signature song. I can't help but agree. It's brilliant.
The Beatles 25 worst are still better than 99% of everyone else’s 25 best. There were a lot of good songs on this list.
I think most of them are very mediocre like typical 60s pop songs only a few of them are quite good in my opinion
@@mateuszzakrzewski8 Some are mediocre I agree but there are still some gems in that bottom 25. Most bands or individuals bottom 25 are going to be unmemorable.
its not their worst tho just their least popular. only a northern songs one of their best songs imo
@@mateuszzakrzewski8 - I'm thinking you can't tell the originals from the covers. The Beatles gave away songs that became huge hits for lesser artists...
@@godfreydaniel6278 well i still think most of these 25 songs deserves for their low popularity
“Tell Me What You See” is great, as is a lot of side two of Help! There’s a lot of hidden gems to be found on the second sides of their earlier UK albums, and two of the best are “Every Little Thing” and “What You’re Doing”. Absolutely great little songs! Also the two from Yellow Submarine - “Only A Northern Song” and “It’s All Too Much” - have always been great in my book, but they certainly aren’t for everyone.
I love “You Like Me Too Much”, I’m surprised Help isn’t more popular.
Not a Second Time and What You’re Doing being on here makes me sad. The latter is one of my all time favorite tracks of theirs. Such a perfect riff, harmony, and all around melody that I could listen on repeat for hours.
What You're Doing is such an underrated song by Paul. And There's A Place has very beautiful melodies and harmonies considering it's from their early period
When I bought that first album at the age of 10 There’s A Place was my favorite song.
I remember it was the flip side of one of their singles. "Twist and Shout", maybe?
agree ! but even Paul did not like that much What You're Doing. I guess he has a good ear for pop :p Regarding There's A Place its one of the early songs, that truly showed the potential these guys had.
That was the big shocker for me on this list.
Great song! Could be on rubber soul!
Such a shame that Not a Second Time doesn't get the respect it deserves
I agree. It is a great construction with some fantastic punctuating drumming from Ringo. Perhaps the modal tune is a little too dark for some people's ears but I have always had a high regard for it.
Yes. This song is awesome.
@@brianparker663 You perfectly conveyed how I feel about it. The reverb on the piano and drums, John's vocal melody, ending the chorus on an E minor instead of major... it's so melancholy, one of my favorites of all time
@@lifeisdead01 Thanks! I'm prepared to bet that you also appreciate George's "Don't Bother Me" more than some seem to. A similarly modal tune that seems to hark back to something more emotionally visceral.
@@brianparker663 I love just about every song from With the Beatles, and while Don't Bother Me isn't one of my favorites, I do like it's chord progression, especially in the chorus. Plus it's George's first song, which is amazing seeing how it's not harmonically simple!
It's crazy, because all of these songs are masterpieces.
The only surprise here is "Baby's In Black", which is quite retrospective and one of the first Beatles/John songs that varied from early Beatles "silly love song" mode.
Mr. Moonlight Is a bigger surprise , I love babys n black but few people like it
One of George’s best solos
It's actually considered an even John/Paul collaboration all the way through, neither a "John song" nor a "Paul song". And yeah, it's a great song, don't know why it isn't better liked!
@@geraldbalzano431 Yes, I read that somewhere, that John and Paul were attempting an Everly Brothers style song. Shocked it is so unpopular on Spotify.

@@TheWorldTeacher Good point.
Ringo sang "Honey Don't" at the Concert for George 11/29/2002 at the Royal Albert Hall. It was the only non-George Harrison composition; Ringo said that George liked Carl Perkins. The Rolling Stones released "I Wanna Be Your Man" first, the only Beatles song they recorded (?). "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" was on the Live at the Hollywood Bowl album (which I once owned on 8-track!
“Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby” is so UNDERRATED!!!
Babys in Black is a great song- many of these still seem fresh, and feature amazing vocals.
Aw, A Taste of Honey is one of my favorite songs. And I hope more Beatles fans will listen to Beatles For Sale. An underrated album
Well said
I think it's got some of my favourite Beatles songs on it. Not so fussed about the covers, but their original material on their I think is great. Super under rated.
With his typical sarcastic wits, John called it : « A Waste of Money » 😋
A taste of honey is seriously meant to be enjoyed smoothly and slowly, it isnt fast rock and roll like boys but still beatles goodness.
Billy Preston was a big fan of this song as well.
"Words of Love", "You Can't Do That", "Baby's in Black", "I'll Cry Instead", man there are some classics on this list that people are missing out on.
I love words of love
Really surprised to see ‘What You’re Doing’ so low. It’s a quality song that foreshadows the entirety of Rubber Soul in style. Seeing the likes of ‘Chains’ above it baffles me
I never liked calling Beatles songs underrated, but I now feel safe calling "It's All Too Much" and "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party" underrated.
Wow Baby’s in Black, Words of Love, Not a second time and Every Little Thing are great songs.

The much maligned Beatles for Sale has many hidden charms. Some wonderful Lennon singing.

We need to get Beatles for sale out to the masses
"You like me too much" and "It's all too much" are in my Top 5 George Songs, especially the second one almost brings me to tears and I don't know why. Both criminaly underrated, just like George.

You Can’t Do That, is one of the Beatles most underrated songs such a great tune one of my favourite Beatles songs of all time
So weird about There's a Place. It's such a great early song, I thought it was a fan favorite, but it's one of their least popular.
Such an underrated piece. The harmonies in the chorus make that song.
Spotify is mainly used by younger generations now. It's to be expected
That surprised me too! It has some romance in the lyrics, but it’s mostly about introspection and the joy of being alone, which is unusual for that era of Lennon’s songwriting.
Couldn't agree more. I think it is the first hint of more thoughtful lyric writing from John and glimpse of things to come. A standout for me.
It still has a lot of plays. For me it's a matter of how big the Beatle's catalogue actually is, it can be normal that some early-days gems may be overlooked
“What You’re Doing” is one of my favourite Beatles song. I’m not sure how it’s gotten lost in their catalogue. Feels like it has.
"You can't do that" is pure gold, i can't believe that!
I don't want to spoil the party is a great Lennon song
Wait... so you're telling me, people prefer listening to Revolution 9 than to listen to absolute bangers like Not A Second Time?!
Revolution 9 is a masterpiece whereas Not A Second Time is just an ok little song
@@lukeizabelle2131 A true masterpiece would have identifiable sections that a person could point out to others, such as great riffs, solo sections, amazing harmonies, string sections etc. Revolution 9 has just tape loops and someone repeating "Number 9".
@@MrChopsticktech Ever heard of Industrial/Industrial Rock and Avantgarde music?! Or even Ambient music, noise rock and a whole bunch of experimental electronic music? Music is not only about riffs, melodies, catchy phrases etc. And compared to a lot of more experimental, avantgarde stuff Revolution 9 is very accessible, believe me. For me it is a masterpiece because it is a perfect gateway and introduction for opening up to or get acquainted with more avantgarde and experimental stuff for those people who are not very knowledgeable or used to such sounds. One of the greatest attributes of the Beatles is how they managed to popularize and make more accessible realms of music that people who only listen to pop and more commercial, mainstream music including more commercial, mainstream rock music, knows very little about or are not used to listen to. Realms of music that if it wasn't for the Beatles some people would have never opened up to, heard about or got the chance to discover them. Like Indian music, Electronic, Avantgarde or even Classical music for the people who are not very acquainted with classical music or who think that it would be too difficult music for them to listen to or appreciate. If people would spend more time to listen to and discover all kinds of music like I and some people do they wouldn't think of Revolution 9 being just a caotic bunch of unlistenable random noises and they would be able to appreciate it more. For example compared to a lot of the avantgarde, experimental music that Lennon and Yoko One did with some of their solo stuff like Two Virgin for example, Revolution 9 is a lot more accessible, listenable and a better piece of music to boot in my opinion.
I think a lot of people must listen to Revolution 9 because they've heard how weird it is and want to check it out. Can't believe someone listens to it over and over or has it in their playlist. Gotta be the curiosity factor I believe.
@@agoogleuser4443 I love that song. I’m big into sound collage music and stuff that uses samples and loops, and Revolution 9 was kinda my gateway drug into that kind of stuff. I wouldn’t be into noise, industrial, sound collage, or free improvisation had I not heard that song.
Man, Seems like the entire Beatles for Sale album is on the list. That’s such a great record!
“You Can’t Do That” is often on my top playlists. Kickin’ tune.
It’s crazy how good these songs are
Imagine living in the time when a new Beatles album came out every few months. There is nothing comparable to that in our culture today.
I know ...I was there all the while...
Many of todays artists combined Are the equivalent of a pimple on john lennons bippy
Yeah. I lived in that world. It was really great.
That was the music industry standard at the time. What remains remarkable is how the quality got better with the Beatles.
Real music died in the 50s. Forget all that hippie crap that occurred in the 60s (sin-ties)
I love Dizzy Miss Lizzy, one of my favourite Beatles songs. I'm convinced the only reason it has so few streams is because I think it's the last song on the album. I just love anyone song where John Lennon screams his lungs out
Her Majesty is one of the prettiest little songs ever. Unreal it’s #1
Gobsmacked that ‘you can’t do that” is at 23. Great music
@Macrobish I totally agree. It's one of my favourite Beatles songs.
Also the first Beatles song that George Harrison used the Rickenbacker 12 string.
With John playing the solo in the Mick Green lead/rhythm style later adopted by Wilko Johnson. Great stuff!
"What You're Doing" is actually one of my fave Pre Rubber Soul songs. Great guitar, a tribute "Be My Baby" beat and a great melody of course. Truly an underrated song IMO. Also really like the Medley on LOVE "Drive My Car / The Word / What You’re Doing" which I just discovered!
I’m not all that big of a fan but fan or not you really gotta appreciate the impact these guys had on the world. Their music had a sort of hook that would’ve made you at least appreciate their music.
"There's A Place", "Dizzy Miss Lizzy", "Taste Of Honey", "Chains", "Baby's In Black", "Kansas City / Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey - Medley", "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby", "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party", "Honey Don't", "Her Majesty" are super underrated.
Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby is a classic. Love that song.
Great cover.
We know from the Get Back documentary that John and Paul rated Every Little Thing highly.
Love that song so much!
Was it not George who suggested playing that in Get Back?
The full 8+ minute version of "It's All Too Much" is one of the Beatles 20 best songs.
I wish it was widely available! I love the full version
Absolutely SHOCKED to see Taste of Honey, one of my absolute favorites and so underrated evidently!!
I think what you see here is that most people really love the rubber soul and on era. These are all beloved albums that people listen to start to finish, so even the duds on those albums are played a lot. On their older stuff, people probably mostly go back for the big hits (e.g., "Love Me Do", "I Want to Hold Your Hand"). Except for "Her Majesty", which people don't get to, because it's at the end of the record and there is a good 20 s of silence after "The End" is finished. It's crazy to me, though, that even their least played track (besides "Her Majesty") has 5.2 million plays. Most musicians can only dream of those kind of numbers.
I'm surprised Revolution 9 isn't here
I'd say the infamous nature of that track would lead to people being curious about hearing it, whereas some buried early album tracks wouldn't spring to mind as much. They still all have multiple million views though.
Surprised how many of the best tracks are on here!
My mom really liked to play the Beatles' Songs back when I was a kid, I'm surprised "You Like Me Too Much" and "Chains" are here, because It is really iconic and nostalgic for me. They were my mom's favourites.
when i get home, every little thing, whats going on, devil in her heart are some of their best
I have never heard Revolution # 9 on Spotify. How can you be less played than that!
Not a second time is criminally underrated, it’s one of my favorites
Dude I can’t believe so many amazing songs are on here
