Edit: on closer inspection, it's a yoke that's been modified with a round rim, but still...
the round wheel is better for racing than the stock yoke
@@markplott4820 Wrong. A round wheel is better in EVERY WAY than a yoke. The yoke is "cool" (NOT!!!), but extremely impractical. As are the idiotic capacitive buttons and lack of stalks.
If I were to trade my 2017 Model S for a new one (WON'T happen!!!), I would do the conversion to Model 3 wheel and stalks.
@@awo1fman - Driving YOKE have been used in RACE cars for DECADES, and Tesla are BASIC stock Race cars.
it takes 10 minutes Driving ONE handed with the yoke , however for racing you need two hands.

The Yoke only works best for racing if you have - 1 TURN LOCK TO LOCK
Elon has acknowledge this -
But said too expensive to implement as a separate mode for racetracks..
I think it loses some of its acceleration when it's on track mode
